Post your Battery life of your Rom [KK] [JB] [ICS] - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Please post your battery life of your Rom to know which drain battery and which not.. especially JB CM10/CM10.1 & KK CM11 Roms ?
Which kernel/Rom u use and your usage like data, GPS ..etc ?
Thanks
Best Regards

GB is the best
My Arc S, with stock rom 2.3.4 GB, last for 2 days, with 20m call, 10 sms, 30m internet and 1h playing games.
Previous, i use ICS and, apart of be much more laggy, the battery last for 1 1/2 day. I prefer GB alot

Yup Im On JVP Too Works Good Especially In Low Coverage Areas ..
I don't think the factor affecting battery life is only modem. it is affected by rom, your uses, modem, number of apps you are running in background.
I have tried almost each rom on xda under ics development and for me the best battery life is with slim ics and doc's Master.
With very heavy uses like 3g on everyone, sync on, surfing almost 3hr a day, playing games, chatting and with all these activities i was getting 15hr with slim and currently around 1d with doc's master.
I believe for normal uses it would be lot more then what i am getting.

Around a day of backup is quite standard with any modem on most ROM's, ICS or GB. I'm sure you're using a <1 yr old battery, else I would've suggested that you treat yourself to a new one.

How has your experience been with the JW4 modem ? I'm on 2.3.5 XXJVU stock and have absolutely nothing to complain about, be it battery backup or network connectivity. I would try JW4 if you recommend though.
Yesterday only i flashed the jw4 modem on ics, i will give it 3-4 days to see the difference.

You must've had a few days to test JW4. Would you recommend that over the other popular one's ? I'm looking for a comparison of network connectivity, battery backup etc. between JW4 and others that you've tried.

Post your HOX battery life here

this is a thread that gather all the info from forumer as u can see a lot of forum member post about bad batterylife(yes its a lot,i know it)
that means the battery life is one of concern of people.
so i started a thread to gather all the info from member , maybe we find someway to work out for longer the bl of our devices, and move along with ur portable charger or battery all time
before smartphone , all using 2G, after the 3G came , i see the batterylife drain significantly , so we're here to compare the 2G,3G and 4G battertlife
Follow this
1.ROM
2.kernel
3.2G,3G and 4G / country / telco
4.CPU clockspeed
5.BatteryLife
6.average rating 10/10
7.usage
8.screentime
0.add on tweaks or app to maintain the BatteryLife
0.remark on how it drains
please do share all ur experience, and all based on 2G,3G and 4G not wifi user
in XDA , u share ur 1 minutes , uncountable members' gain
so come'on dont be shy :)
1.RD miui 2.6.29 OneX [29/6/12] --- just flashed for 5 days
2.kernel franco r11->r12
3.3G preferred
4.1.0Ghz
5.5hours
6.5/10
7.use PowerAmp all the time,FB,Flipboard
0.using system tuner reclock at 1Ghz
0.it drain 1% per 2 min
You should add to the list : screen time
For what? this is getting funny. Another "my battery is bad" thread? Keep in mind that this is quad core HD smartphone not nokia E51 ! Your phone good score should be 2 DAYS! And when in heavy use, it will be couple of hours! this not gonna change!

just do some comparison, differ country 3G line will affect the BL too, just want know which one better.i didnt complaint my battery is bad. when u see a lot of forum member post about this , that means the battery life is one of concern of people.

It looks like you dont know anything about how 3G works and why it may affect BL. Its all about range, protocol switching, and BTS placement.
Keep in mind, this is SMARTPHONE with QUAD+1 CORES and HD display. The good battery life score with average usage is 1 DAY. with heavy usage is couple of H. If you want it to work a week without charge, get nokia E51.
Poeple need to understand that there is no such topic as bad battery life in such monsutros smartphone. Live with it or leave it.
Well I fully charged my HOX on about 20:00 and in the morning when I wake up (12:00- I'm a heavy sleeper ) , It still shows 100% of battery! That's quite outstanding, isn't it?

Yeah after a few days struggling with a battery draining issue I managed to solve it and now my HOX has an amazing battery life Even though it is still facing some battery draining with the camera (Not to mention the scratched camera lens). It lasts 2-3 days with normal gaming. 5-6 days of normal usage (without gaming)

Well I updated the software build to the latest. Than I do a factory reset. After that, I use my phone normally until it shows me the warning of "the battery is lowerthab 10%", I turn off my phone completely then charge it for 8 -> 12 hours then turn it on and use it normally again. Repeat those steps 3-4 times and your HOX's battery life should be fine

For me its KA21 with Arcknight 3.3 Stock Kernel.
Really smooth, better battery than i experienced stockwise...
try ICS_anzu_KTG tuned_V1.41: governor interactiv
actually battery drain more depends on the kernels..for best battery life stock kernel is the best
Guys note that lad has Pro not Arc. Stock is usually the worst, or better - default gauge for custom ROMs. I've been watching cyanogenmod discussion for a while, usually users feedback on battery life varied from version to version; for tweaked versions can be said that battery life is the same as in stock while the performance is 20% better. I don't know about MIUI.
(Out of your question, the best for battery life are Ultima ROM and Buttermilk ROM which are optimized for battery life and battery life is notably better there; with Buttermilk and low usage you can do as much as 4 days without charging - worth for outdoor trips. Ultima ROM when idle eats like 0,6% per hour.)
Stock rom with stock kernal had the best battery life... but also lags the most.
I recomend arconium ICS with stock kernal for a balaced experiance...!!!

Well if you game a lot compared to someone who doesn't then obviously ones battery will last longer than the other, so there's a few factors that can be taken into account in regards to battery life.

well my method of testing battery drain(i guess everybody tests the same way) is only on standby..how much time does it take to move 1% down when the phone is not touched for an hr or 2...in exceptional cases battery will drain fast while using 3G in one kernel but lil slow on other kernel..
again my point is kernel is more responsible for battery life of the phone rather than a ROM..

Then you need to take syncing into account, if yours is on and mine is off on the same kernel then yours may drian a bit quicker than mine, which goes back to my point of how a user uses their Phone. I don't think it's a black and white issue.

yea dude.. i get it..my point was simple..people were talking about best roms for battery life.. i just said kernel plays an important role in deciding that..that was my only point..i wasnt arguing with anyone..and testing of battery drain at standby means with data off, bluetooth off, gps off..hence syncing of account wont come into picture
I'm not arguing, just trying to make a point also.

Yes I know and sorry, the last two ROMs I was refering to are GB. However, Riyal is working on Ultima ICS ROM and it already exists in alpha version! See this post with download link Hopefully the ROM will have similar advantages as has GB Ultima ROM over GB stock ROM, which means better battery life, better wi-fi reception, improved camera and so on.

I did that when I had iPhone 4.
im using cm7.2 latest release alvays, i also have an app set cpu and i set my governor to scary, min freq 145 mhz, and max 1024, and im using profiles for apps that im using most of time (underclock cpu while using that apps)
with that i have at least 40% better battery life
and, yes, u can downgrade using flashtool

So far Arcknight kernel has quite the reputation for good battery life. IMO, for roms i find CM9 from FreeXperia project quite awesome but then there's an issue with the battery stats and brightness for now so wait for the next release i guess. for GB try arconium 8.2. still mostly its based on kernel and also the governor.

So please, give me a link to the best long battery life rom, don't really matter if GB,ICS or other thanks in advance guys
Only 50 minutes? I don't think that is normal. I don't think either it's a problem with a rom. even if you play a lot and on the internet the total time should be more than 50 minutes I believe. I think your battery just died. And if that is the case, not even a rom with a thousands tweaks will get more time than you already have

yea mate.. but i want to try another rome before buying anything..
Arcos CM9 RC2 or RC3 with it´s 2.6.35 kernel is still the best ROM for battery life. The older Slimbeam ROM with the same kernel is told to be as good as Arcos ones. Finally you can also use a customized 2.6.35 kernel with undervolting options to extend your battery life, but like ilusi0n already said there is something wrong with your phone or battery if it only lasts for 50 minutes. My battery lasts for 3-5 days under normal use.

The same happens with me and its the battery problem only. I will get some 6 hours on CM if used heavily with full time internet and screen on. In stock i may get 3 or 4 hours if used normally. The battery is pathetic and never got a backup up to 24 hours from day 1 and using very less apps.
Been using grand for about 6 days..
I get battery backup of about 20hrs with 5+hrs of screen on time.. I guess this is okay..
