Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium
There is no need to port it... it has to be included in a rom... I managed to make it work on Stocklite v7... look on the market for the plugin "toggle 2g plugin"... it will tell you the steps to make it work... it's designed for cyanogen mod... but the developer puts a method to make it work in every rom and worked in stocklite v7.0.... maybe i will post the steps later
Works great. Useful thing for stock roms.

You had to read more carefully as it says.
TheMasterBaron said:
I've made a java application to take "any" flashable ROM zip and resign the zip and inject Toggle2G into it. Check the downloads for ResignUpdate.zip. Check the readme-first.txt in the zip for more information. Works with Windows/OSX/Linux
Here is a little app I've started working on that enables the 2G Only setting automatically when the phone is asleep to save battery.
As always with these kinds of things, I am not responsible if something goes wrong, so use at your own risk.
Working on Android versions since 2.1 including ICS
Installation:
The flashable Toggle2G-Update.zip is signed using the CyanogenMod certs so by default this will work with most CM based ROMS.
The easiest way to see if Toggle2G works on your ROM is flash the Toggle2G-Update.zip from the recovery. If your ROM is compatible, Toggle2G will show up in your app drawer.
If it does not work, then you can try the ResignUpdateV2 java application to convert your ROM. Download the ResignUpdateV2.zip and read the included readme-first.txt file. This java application resigns the phone.apk and all other apks that share the same cert as the phone.apk to the same one used by CyanogenMod. This allows Toggle2G to be injected into the system.

And these are the steps
nikzDHD said:
How to use ResignUpdate:
1) Ensure you have java SDK installed, if not google it and install it.
2) Download resignupdate and extract it.
3) Download your desired rom and place the file into resignupdate directory.
4) Open command prompt and change directory to where resign update is.
Example, cd C;\ResignUpdate
5) Run the script, Resignupdate.bat xx.zip
Ensure you leave a space after bat xx = name of rom
Example, Resignupdate.bat Hyperdroid_Androimeda.zip
6) Keep a look out while script is running to ensure there are no errors, once complete you will have another zip file in the resign directory labeled something like rom name Toogle2G-resigned.zip.
7) Copy onto phone and flash away using CWM.
8) Enjoy the benefits.

And make sure the rom name doesnt have spaces. It's pretty easy actually... I did it on Stocklite v7 that is based in XPK.... something... an spanish stock rom.

ok folks, the op has been updated! the flash zip file works!
for some reason it was not flashing the actual animation file, only the sound was flashing! also found that this device has a different location for the animation file. "/system/media" the funny thing is when I checked my device it has always worked from "/data/local" after digging deeper into my file system, i found a "bootanimation.zip" located in "/system/media" that read "0kb" in size, it was some how redirecting it to pickup the file from the other location! after removing both files and placing in /system/media it worked! :scratchhead
try flashing with the new link in the 1st post! tested working on my glide!!

Certainly the most original boot anim I've ever seen, that is awesome dude, nice.
1st let me tell you what and all required for a custom bootanimation.
You must have a ROOTED device.
A root file manager such as ROOT EXPLORER
Custom bootanimation of your choice
15-20 minutes of time
and importantly PATIENCE
if you have all these then proceed to the next step
Download any of you favorite Bootanimation from here or from any other thread/site
How to add:
You need root and CWM Recovery.
If you need the stock bootanimation then make a back up of that using RootExplorer
Copy the bootanimation to your SD Card.
Rename to bootanimation.zip -If the zipfile has any other name plz rename it to "bootanimation.zip" , without quotes
With root explorer or any other app that allows you to get to /system/media
Copy the bootanimation .zip into /system/media and replace it with the stock one (remember to mount R/W)
And Finally set permissions to rw--r--r--
Should Look something like this
x x -
x - -
x - -
All Bootanimations are of 320x480 size , so will support GIO

To change the bootanimation, you have to change it in the zip file of your rom. Or am I wrong?
But is it possible to change it, without re-installing the rom?

I don't know why yours doesn't work. Sorry.
@OP: Gesture input (slide) doesn't work. The animation appears but no text is made.

Naah... why did you make a flashable zip it doesnt need to be flashed or put into the system.. it's type of a basic just install thing put it into ur sdcard and install it... do remember to backup any other AOSP keyboards before doing this!

New Calendar App Dark INverted with 4.1.2 compatibility as it's from 4.2.2
i8190
Hi, great mod especially for amoled screens, unfortunatelly I have problem installing it in i8190.
When I try to install it gives me this error message (calendar and music):
X Application not installed
Package with that name and different signature already installed.
I cannot uninstall the original apps since they are flashed in the rom. Any ideas?
Maybe flashable?
(benz rom by the way).

Backup or remove those apps from /system/apps
Put the new ones there instead and change permisions to rw-r-r- (644)
Reboot.
