What is the best JB sense rom for battery? - HTC One X

Ok guys new base, new hopes on JB Sense roms!
I am still using IC 10.6.5 and battery is very bad, specially with games and music app.
Now that ARHD and Maximus released their new roms, what is the best for battery life?

InsertCoin 10.7.1

Looks like ARHD 12 is a winner till now :good:

No rom will give you better battery life. It's all down to usage and signal and data type and things. Just try them and see which gives you the best life for your usage.

I don't really agree here.
Each dev add or remove some apps from the rom that could eat battery, also some tweaked frameworks can also change battery behavior

It depends a lot on the settings that you have and how you use your phone. I get one-two days on RCMix S with some power-saving settings.

If it doesn't matter, you won't get better than AuraxTSense(8.4 is the newest and the best imo).

Completely Agree, combined with SetCPU it gives me 4 days of Standby
You won't get a vast improvement in battery life with any ROM, but I would recommend you to flash RCMix S; Efficient battery span, Fast, Stable and best Sense ROM out.
RC Mix S v2.0 has the best battery life. For me the best sense 2.1 & 3.0 mix rom!
Where can I download the RC MixS v2.1?
I can't find it in the threads?
I would say either InsertCoin 1.1.4 Stable or SuperNova Extreme Gingerbread. Only stock 2.1 Sense ROMs seem to have the best battery life. From my personal experience, Sense 3.0 and 3.5 ROMs drain like there's no tomorrow.

Agree If you want sense with best battery life, it definitely not sense3.0/3.5
According to my personal experience, InsertCoin may help you as the battery can be used for one and a half day with moderate use (texting in daytime)

With WildStang83 Desire Inc HD ROM I go from 440am to 5pm with a single charge and still have like 20-30% left.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1253492
And aosp I can't really tell because I don't use aosp (I'm a Sense lover maniac) the only one I used was cyanmod7 nightlies like for a week and the battery life was ok. I had to charge atleast 30-50 minutes during my break time.

Sense ROMs take up more battery life because their is more going on, but I don't think its that drastic compared to AOSP. I use Nils 2.3/3.0 gingersense and I can normally go till next morning or miday after a charge.
The only AOSP rom I've run was MIUI and I would constantly get 24+hrs and sometimes over a day (1800mah battery).
There's still a lot of tweaks to come on the Sense ROMs so don't expect too much from them at this point in time. Once the GB kernel source is released and we get some custom kernels then the battery life of Sense roms may increase.
MIUI with Chad's Incredikernel will give you ridiculous battery life. I would get over 24 on one charge. That's what I used during Hurricane Irene when the power went out lol

I use Jermaine's In-Sensitive Minimalist. It's kind of a mix between sense and AOSP. Alot of the sense has been removed, but it still kind of has that feel. Love it...very responsive and stable. By the time I get home from work, around 7pm, I still have like 70% battery remaining.

+1. I use either MIUI or one of many AOSP ROMs then I flash Chad's incredikernel. When I undervolt the kernel I can almost go two days without needing a charge.
The best battery life I've gotten is with the most recent stable Cyanogenmod 7.
For some reason my battery life is *noticeably* better on MIUI than with CM7. Seems strange but the difference is there.
of the few
of the few I've tried (gingersense, cm7, and uber), I found NilsP's Business Gingersense to get me the best battery life. Day and a half on one charge, mobile network on 80% of that time...

With moderate to heavy usage (phone, browsing, streaming, Market, etc.) I get a good 24hrs on it. Usually more.
If your main concern is battery life, set your CPU min/max to 600/600Mhz using the Performance governor. Use noop as the scheduler. Your phone will last a long time and still be peppy (but not overclocked).

Which ROM's have better battery life ? CM10 or Sense ?

I am ditching Verizon, and my cool Galaxy Nexus, running CM10. Going to pick up an international One X to use on Straight Talk. I really love the gorgeous display on the One X, plus the sexy cool design as well. And I am burned out on my last few Samsung phones, for crappy GPS locking, and pissy radios and WiFi.
Anyways, I use my phone a lot during the day, and prefer battery life over cool whiz bang features. I have read people saying that Sense based ROM's offer much battery life over CM10 JB ROM's, is that true ?
I like the look and feel of stock Android Jellybean, but won't install a CM10 ROM if it has poor battery life, and am willing to give a good Sense ROM a shot if it will offer better battery life ?
Opinions wanted please, thanks.
To me, sense now has amazing battery life, can't say it did have not to long ago. The latest sense based roms include superb battery life even with moderate to full use my battery holds out even past the end of the day. However, I can't comment on how this compares with aosp and aokp roms, I never really stray from sense you see, not now it's improved dramatically both in performance and battery life
To me, sense roms, down to personal preferences but like I said, I haven't tried any other roms other than sense
Good luck.

In my experience Sense ROMs are significantly better when it comes to battery life. Standby times are simply amazing. Also the sense camera is much better than whats included in CM10.
I Agree, the one thing i like about sense ROMs is the camera app. i pretty much hate the rest of the sense. but from what i've seen my battery life with sense wasnt so bad. But i've fall in love with PA ROM.
Android Revolution HD has a very decent battery life and silky smooth on everything ... Go for it :good:

Does that CM10 ROM offer any customization like center clock in the status bar, or is it just a pure CM10 build only, no extras ?
I can imagine the screen on the One X has to look absolutely beautiful with the CM advanced color settings ?

Why don't you try Viper X (sense ROM), you can remove most sense UI bits and make it look very close to AOSP without compromising on battery life or other sense features (i.e: Camera, FM Radio)
Love the look of the stock JB ROMs, but the battery life just doesn't do it for me. I will suffer with Sense's look until more efficient ROMs are available.

Which bits can you remove though? I for one cannot stand the Sense Dialer, Contact List, Gallery, SMS app and Music Player. If they can be replaced with stock ICS apps that would be pretty awesome.
I used have a GNex that ran on Minco v4 (Stolen, hope the thief rots in hell and the phone blows up in his hand to send him there), Now I have a OneX with ViperX 2.2.1 and Faux Kernel. The battery life is significantly better. I have tried JB roms in my HOX but all of them were a bit buggy and had very poor battery life. You should definitely go for a sense rom with faux kernel.

I was losing about 5% every 10 minutes with the screen on the lowest setting with any current Jelly Bean ROM.
I get 4+ hours on screen time at 50% brightness with OrDroid's SENSE based ROM.

Best battery life AOSP ROM?

Anyone know which is the best on battery? I've tried Slim, CM10, and ICJ. I'll go as far as trying an ICS AOSP, but does anyone have any good recommendations? 99% of the time it's a rogue app doing that to the phone.
can you check in better battery stats which app is keeping the phone awake or if the phone is achieving deepsleep.
maybe one of the apps isn't playing nice with the phone and keeping it awake or draining it a lot.
if you're patient you can wait a while and try Owain's domination, which is my favorite aosp rom, though he hasn't been able to update it for a while,
but from what i've read, the next update should be amazingly awesome!!!
that + ncx's kernel should provide a good mix of battery life and features.

I'm using CM10 nightlies. With the stock kernel I was lucky to get 10 hours standby with average use or 1 hour screen, and the phone was getting very hot. I changed to the NCX kernel and now I'm getting 24 hours standby with average use or up to 4 hours screen time.
I am surprised no one mention CM10 SE ver 2. I am on it and this is the only AOSP ROM that I managed to convince myself to stay on. And I have tried the rest. My phone stays cool on it, I have not met with any bugs with my usual usage of games, xda, browsing, music, camera, phone.. and it is smooth. Feature-wise, it is not as rich as ICJ or AOSP but I never needed so many features and more features just add to the probability of more bugs.

Everyone has his own preference for ROMs. There's no point in comparing them with scales such as "speed", "battery life" or "smoothness".
You have to try them on your own and find out yourself.
