Before you start using this rom here are some things you need to know:
1. I am NOT updating every day (I work 6 days a week and have a 21 month old and a wife)...
2. Don't ask for ETA, this is rude and offensive. When it is done it is done.
3. Custom Roms come without warranty. They are tested before release but something always can go bad. So if you broke your phone or you got fired because the alarm didn't go off - I am not responsible.
4. Support is limited. Sometimes I can answer your questions sometimes I don't have the time. There will be times I don't have an answer so please do no repeat your question or get offended because I haven't answered you.
5. Don't compare ROMs. It is rude and offensive for developers. If the other rom has what you need, use that ROM.

* Next you need to setup the battery image you want to use under ROM Control
* Setup the clock the way you want it as well.
* If you want to keep the brightness slider in the notification pull down you must turn it on under settings/display
* Added in the new lockscreens, but two are not finished. Please do not use the Blackberry lock screen or the HTC lock screen.[/b]
- Added some new features that were meant for 5.0, so more of a preview.
- Added Browser edge zoom toggle to the main stream ROM (was out in 4.7.6 but beta) - Thanks loserskater!

- Reverted back to older Titanium backup that works
- Fatten the ROM back up. Only things missing now are the T-mobile bloatware

- You can take the Infamous-res.apk from your favorite theme and move it to system/framework to get the toggles back.
- Samsung keyboard swype still doesn't work, looking into it.
- Added back AOSP 4.2 keyboard

Just edited the OP. The reason I went with it is because from my experience it is fast and stable. Also it is compatible with ktoonsez's Jelly bean kernels.

I am getting close . . . I think. Got the SystemUi.apk torn all the way down. I see where it is calling the tetherprevision.apk up. I just need to figure out how to either make the systemUI.apk or tetherprevision.apk to not communicate with t-mobile. More or less like how we block ads, by making it bounce back to the phone's IP address. Also if I can just get it to not check at all would be the easiest. Sammy got smart and tethering will not work at all without the tetherprevision.apk. Tried deleting it and and get nothing but force closures when I tried to tether...

Just edited the OP. The reason I went with it is because from my experience it is fast and stable. Also it is compatible with ktoonsez's Jelly bean kernels.

Hi all,
This ROM is exactly the same as Kaos Droid for The Nexus 7 and other devices. I have just compiled it for the Nexus 10.
This ROM is based around my needs with a little extra everything that has been removed from my ROM will be added in the 2nd post as an extra.
This ROM is not only based around my needs, its also built around the community's needs. In the past if they have asked for something to be included or changed in the ROM it has been done.
I dont mind any critism at all as long as its constructive, any ideas are welcome also!

Some of these questions have never been asked but if youv'e thought of them or ever wondered why, here they are
Q: Why is this ROM so big when others are about 120MB in size?
A: CyanogenMod alone is 220MB. When you add all my options it gets quite large, e.g. Launchers, Browsers, Kernels and Tweaks, e.g. True Tablet UI, Stock Nav Bar, Alternative Themes, then there's apps like Adobe Flash, BBC iPlayer and a root file explorer.
Q: Have you thought of cutting the size of your ROM down by removing apps such as Flash Player and the root file explorer?
A: I have, But then it means side loading or re-downloading them, possibly setting permissions and alot more time to set up the ROM as you want it, plus its easier to have it all in one place, saves on backup storage, and if you don't want them, don't select them, thats why the options are there.
Q: Why have you changed your base from AOSP to CyanogenMod?
A: Basically CyanogenMod has fixes when it comes to bugs, loopholes and security issues, whereas AOSP doesn't have as many, its not updated as frequent, and doesn't have the CM team behind it!
Q: Can you add support for "this" or add "that" mod?
A: Yes, its usually not an issue, post the request in the thread or pm me, i will add the request to the OP, and add it in the next update, unless its slightly more complicated like gesture support, this will take time and therefore will be added a few versions later.
Q: Why so many releases so often?
A: Simple version: I lost my job and i like to learn
Not so simple version: With Android there is and always will be updates, fixes, customisations and mods that i and the community would like. I try to keep on top of these adding them in and updating regulary to keep the ROM up-to-date, also you get requests, so you add them and release the update, it keeps the community happy and your ROM up-to-date with the latest fixes and customisations that everyone wants.
Q: Why is there some bugs in almost every version?
A: Bugs are like rats, your never more than 10 feet away from one of them (10 lines of code in this case), there are going to be bugs in every ROM no matter how good the developer is. For example, in V3.6/3.6.1 there was an issue with the lockscreen not saving shortcuts, this was an issue with my ROM and any other ROM based on CM for that matter, i cannot help this, it is a CM issue, i have bugs and fixes to deal with that are on my side of the work, if i have time then yes, i will have a look at the issue try to fix it and if i do pass the findings on to the deleloper(s). Also remember that ROM's are always under development, even stable releases.
Q: What make Kaos Droid so special?
A: Besides me? The COMMUNITY! Kaos Droid was originally based around my needs and customisations and what i want. Not only that but the community has a lot of input in Kaos Droid, if they ask for a MOD, customisation or support for something it gets added which also makes the rom perfect for their needs, Kaos Droid started of as a small ROM the community spoke and the community got, its as simple as that.
Q: Why are you including requests from the community for somthing you don't or might not use?
A: Simple there are people/users out there that either don't know how or dont have the time to build a cusom ROM, and why not include the requests 99% of the time i actually use them, i have not had one request yet that i haven't used or thought it shouldn't be included.
Q: What's you aim for Kaos Droid?
A: That's easy: reliability, speed, customisation and hopefully being the best
Q: What made you decide to start building a custom ROM?
A: I liked the work other Dev's were doing and what they achived, so I thought to myself if they can do it so can I.

NOTE:
I have made my own GAPPS and its placed in the root directory of both my goo.im and dev-host folders. its not that much different from the one that is on goo.im, But it does feature the aroma installer so you can select what apps you want rather than having to install them all. It is updated everytime i upload a new ROM making sure that all the gapps are upto date, the aroma installer will install them to the /system/app partition saving space in the userdata partition allowing you to install more apps/games

That is correct in the posts are just copied across for now so I could get the thread up and running if you have flashed this at any point on the Nexus 7 you will see that it is exactly the same except for a different device
Also there is one change clog for all devices what is a device specific change e.g. kernel being added will have the device name in brackets moving forward from this version
At the moment there is only the stock kernel included in this ROM the only one with an custom kernel is the Nexus 7
If you would like a specific kernel add in to the aroma installer let me know and it will get added for the next version

Mate hox is still s off... So kernel should be flashed manually.....!! If possible u can include xm kernel , ncx kernel and kozmik kernel...those three r best available ones for hox

If supporting a new device with your ROM you should at least
inform yourself about the technical details!!!
Otherwise you would know that what you have written is not
applieable for the HOX.
Actually this thread currently gives me the impression that you
dont really know what you do
The ROM is very smooth and fast. I've tried it and i'm very impressed.
Flashed the gapps and all works well and battery friendly as not in other CM 10.1

I know that the HOX is s-on and that you have to flash the boot.img via fastboot what was ment to be said was that it will get added to the zip so there's only one file to download.
I dont mind people correcting me if i'm wrong, however for someone to say i dont know what i'm on about, is way out of order, if i didn't know what i was doing i wouldn't have compiled the ROM in the first place never mind uploading it to a thread.
For those that want the extra kernels adding, i will repack them and add to the downloads section

Reboot
Install the 3minit app (not included, but the frameworks of 3minit are. Nothing else needed.)

Edit: Sorry, these pics are huge. Anyway these pics were taken after i put it in airplane mode. so all night it was off and i use 1/2% an hour and it was deep sleeping very well.

- Not all of the functions in 3minit are working, like long press home, menu, and back. There are huge code differences, we are still working on porting these features so bear with us! thanks.
- Some of the strings have mix matched ID's. So some of the notifications and system messages are wrong... ie, Screen shots say that it can not be saved but it really does.

What is fast charge:
This allows one to force AC charging for any charger that is detected as USB (e.g. many car chargers) and pull the full current the charger can support. Without Fast charge, when connected to the computer or even car charger you will very low current causing the charge time to be a lot longer. With fast charge active the current is set to the max allowed (and/or safest) and charging time will reduce greatly. It also provides additional security when connecting to public charging stations because by forcing AC charging, USB/adb data transfers are disabled, protecting your data. When fast charge is active you will not be able to access your data on your device. You will need to turn fast charge off to access them. Hope this helps everyone understand it more.

Thanks for all this info man. I never use the install scripts generated by the kitchen, only use it to zipalign , zip and sign. Now I asked ptmr3 if there was anything out of the norm with the S4, like the new Jelly bean firmware for the t989 uses a preload partition along side the system partition... (that was fun to make everything smooth.) Long story short, all the partitions in the install script are correct and also match the information you supplied above. Thx yea it has preload yea! I generate my own also but like to use the first build after running my dump through the kitchen to verify all is good.
Besides the preload you'll see SELinux. I'm also having issues with Aroma's touch screen not working only the power/volume keys to move around in the gui. Oh yea a all new settings.apk layout.
Been trying to get extended reboot menu working with no luck so far

Yea I have had aroma running on the S3 and N2 without problems. Just would like to get a version up so ppl can pick and choose what they want installed for now and it's about the same 1.6gb. Recompiling the SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk fail because of a bunch of missing strings..

No all I see is a preloaddata folder not the preload folder but this could be a change in 4.2.2. Yea the tar is from a dump, kies or samsung hasn't released TMO version yet. Only i9500 and i9505

Yea I have had aroma running on the S3 and N2 without problems. Just would like to get a version up so ppl can pick and choose what they want installed for now and it's about the same 1.6gb. Recompiling the SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk fail because of a bunch of missing strings..

this issue right here is because you haven't checked the box for a popup on the Phone itself which allows adb. unplug your device and try again. until you accept the popup on the phone itself, it will say offline. i had this problem when i was first trying to do a pull.

By using the rom you agree with the above terms!
HOW TO INSTALL:
(recommended recovery - Philz Recovery )
Download ROM and place on SD
Reboot into recovery
Wipe unless change log say otherwise
Install the ROM
Reboot out of recovery
Skip setup wizard (you can put your name in)
wait five minutes for all to settle as this is a highly tweaked ROM and Kernel
Reboot
Install the 3minit app (not included, but the frameworks of 3minit are. Nothing else needed.)
Additional install info:
Go to the play store and buy the paid version of 3minit to suport the developer. It is only $2 and gets updated first! If you can't do this go to his thread where he gives away free older versions. Make sure to thank gharrington and tell him Infamous sent you.
Now install Xposed. The installer app comes with the ROM. Open it and click install. Don't reboot yet. Hit the tab above that says modules and turn on the modules you want to use... now reboot.

Now enjoy the fastest and most customizible ROM for the S4.

- SystemUI will Force close on a fresh install every single time! This is 3minit frameworks setting up. This is normal people! It will not happen again.
- 3minit settings app does not come with the ROM. You have to install it after installing the ROM!

Apps to SD and MF8 is newer Firmware so more bug fixes from Samsung. Also Smart Stay and Smart scroll are running fine!

WiFi calling is a Tmobile option so you won't see it on any 9505 rom.

Full Rom is in the main folder. Updates are in the updates folder, and are only good for the minor version. In otherwords, 0.1.8.x for 0.1.8 Full, 0.3.x for 0.3, etc...

Reboot into recovery

Reboot
simple as that folks, the installer will take care of everything else for you. There is no need to wipe anything before or after installing an update
If you chose to flash XPosed here in one of my updates, do not post here that you get bootloops as you will get ignored.
You should have double checked prior to choosing it, whether it worked on your device or not.

Very correct you are sir. There has to be input from multiple user's experience on how it's running. It's a lot easier to know if there are any bugs present, and the best way to go about fixing them.
I have a weird thing going on (well 2, but the 2nd one don't matter too much)
Wifi and BT work like a champ. NFC probably won't work
#1 My wifi seems stuck on "Obtaining IP Address"
#2 SketchBook doesnt work
I have an update coming already (added back in the SHealth, STranslator, updated WeatherDaemon, and Flipoboard is all) but it can wait, I want to see if I can work out this Wifi thing

Nah, I got it. Problem is its the full app. Thought I could just get away with adding it in from my phone LOL (I only had the stub initially, but downloaded and installed it)

INSTALLATION:
YOU NEED TO AT LEAST BE ON A LOLLIPOP BOOTLOADER
BACKUP YOUR APPS
MAKE A NANDROID AS WELL
BACKUP YOUR INTERNAL SD
Boot to recovery
Format Data (not just Wipe)
Format System
Format Cache
Install Rom
Reboot
Wait 5 minutes
Install relevant updates
Reboot
Setup, and make sure to select 'No Thanks' to Samsung
Add your Provider APN
PROFIT!
If you fail to follow these simple instructions, and post your issues, you will get ignored...
and trust me, I'll be able to tell if you did or not!
MY CONFIG:These are merely my recommendations. Others may have better configs for them, but this works for me, and works very well for me. This gets me in between 5-6 days worth of battery for normal usage. 2-3 for my normal moderate usage. All without sacrificing performance.
Turn On 'Mobile Data'
Configure your APN
- If it does not appear to save for you, take my word for it, it's there
Choose 'Network Provider'
Add your account(s)
Set up the rest as you normally would
Grab Titanium Backup from Play Store, install, and restore your apps, when done, reboot
Open Tibu and Batch process convert your db's to WAL mode
Open a root explorer and browse to /sbin/dp_cleaner, and let it execute. Most root file explorers will do it's thing and show you the output
Reboot
Leave the Kernel Config alone.
- Tho, you could underclock to 1.9Ghz and get alot better battery, you may lose a little performance

Hey, thanks for the ROM @kevp75. One problem. Settings keeps force closing after trying to change the quick toggle thingys at the top of Settings. (I forgot what they're called, but the actual toggles in the Settings app at the top. You can select 9 of them).

What was the fix just curious? If you get time shoot me that apk want to try it on the s6 version keep getting FC on the world clock while on your edge launcher.
