[Q] Samsung Galaxy Gio doesn't work ... Help? - Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660

Hi , I have a huge problem......
Look , I was doing some custom rom flashing (GIOPRO v1.6 ) and ok it worked and then i was doing some overclock....
To 960 mhz and then i totally ****ed up my phone.... ;P
my phone just shut down and rebooted over and over, then i flashed it again... ( with ODIN )
and when it was installing the Custom ROM , it just jumped automatically from download to recovery mode ...
this text was displayed on my screen :
-Finding Update
-Installing Update
Can't access system/csc/BSE/system
Can't access system/csc/BSE/system
and then it just Crashed ;P
Also if i just Reboot system or factory reset ----> It just Craches
Any option to (repair ) my phone?
(Btw: I only can access download/recovery mode )

Try rebooting into stock recovery and formatting the data and cache partitions back to RFS.

And when it reboots the text:
Appling Multi CSC
Finding update
Opening Update
Can't access to system/CsC/BSE/system
Can't access to system/CSC/BSE/system

Maybe u should try to go back to stock rom and from there try to flash GioPro.
go to www.sammobile.com for stock rom and of course get the GIO_v1.0.ops file
after flashing stock rom dont forget to wipe data/factory reset in recovery.
Don't forget to first make a backup in recovery mode

You do a backup by recovery? If yes you can try to restore, if not, try to install another rom by recovery, like CM7.1, giopro, etc...
So you're able to get into 'Download' mode? If so - then make sure that the Odin version you're using is suitable for our devices, not any Odin version will do the work.
yes im able to get in download mode and im using right version of odin ow and btw i can get in recovery mode now only it says E:Can't mount/open /cache/recovery/log
its very weard had it never before
Can you wipe / restore to defaults and flash a ROM?
well try to format your sd card with minitool partition wizard home edition
than flash a stockrom like http://droidangel.blogspot.com/2011/11/s5660xxks5-android-235-gingerbread-rom.html .
if you have CWM , use wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, than go to advanced and then "wipe dalvik cache" also

[Q] Stuck at boot logo after bad rom flash [solved]

Ok guys, I'm freaking out a little here...
So I flashed the latest Hypernote Pegasus 1.0 after Wanam 2.4 (performed full wipe, format system e.t.c). Everything went to plan except that I lost my phone signal on bootup. I assumed this was due to the imei getting corrupted, so I performed an efs restore. Bad idea. I rebooted and got stuck at the boot logo.
I then flashed a stock H3G DLL4 odin ROM, same story - boot anim loop.
So I flashed PhilZ's recovery and performed another EFS restore, still stuck at boot anim loop.
What on earth do I do to get my phone working!? Please help guys as I'm close to pulling out my hair!
After flashing... battery pull. Get into recovery and factory reset + wipe cache partition

Dude, seriously...did you read my post? I've wiped everything everything multiple times, even factory reset through kies (by downloading the stock rom) and my phone is still stuck at the boot anim!

I might have pinpointed the issue, apparently the stock recovery says "E:failed to mount /efs" invalid argument.
Anyone know how to get my EFS working again?
Did u backup your efs prior to flashing?

Yes.
I've tried restoring the image through Phil Z recovery, but same issue.
it seems that you did not back up your own efs, if your phone have a contract then you have to find the efs fit your phone.

I did back up the EFS, I have the file stored on my computer. It's a ~20mb .img file
Fixed for those that want to know:
I had to run and adb shell in CWM and enter the commands:
mke2fs / dev/block/mmcblk0p3
mount-w-t ext4 / dev/block/mmcblk0p3 / efs
Then restored my EFS backup through PhilZ's CWM. Rebooted, and phone booted up!
I have just had a similar problem (stuck at the boot logo screen after choosing Recovery Mode when I long pressed the Power button) and could not access CWM Recovery (VolumeUp + Home + Power button until the boot logo appeared).
As the only easy alternative left I entered Download Mode (VolumeDown + Home + Power button until the boot logo appeared), connected the phone to my PC using the USB cable and used PC Odin to flash CWM Recovery again. Rebooted and everything worked fine.
I now have the new bootloader installed (didn't have to root the phone again), Omega 10 firmware with RedPill 1.01 Kernel.

Need help putting deodexed custom ROM on N7105XXDLL4 - installation stops prematurely

Hi
i figured out how to update my original firmware of 4.1.1 on my Note 2 N7105 LTE to 4.1.2 by downloading this tar.md5 (N7105XXDLL4_N7105TMHDLK8_TMH) through Odin
and it seemed to work because in "about device" it says im running 4.1.2 and it also seems to be a REALLY annoying European T-Mobile version because of the short and LOUD t-mobile video every single time i open and close my phone.
I also installed CWM-based Recovery v6.0.1.5-jb which works perfectly (thank god)
now when i tried to boot the deodexed rom for N7105XXDLL4 through recovery via sd card. everything seems fine i can choose all the options in sequence and when i get to the end it tries to install (percentage bar) but stops very quickly and reboots me to recovery mode...the first time i did that it forced me to restore from backup (because it wouldnt boot at all) and the second time i did it it made me reboot and the samsung logo appeared followed by "android is upgrading 0 to 162" I WAS SUPPPPER HAPPPPY!! but i was crossing my fingers...low and behold the phone did boot but all the fonts and everything else were EXTREMELY tiny and a message kept popping up saying SystemSU has closed or something..
I obviously restored back to t-mobile 4.1.2 (hungarian)
Is there something wrong im doing during the installation? should i try and upload it through odin or something instead of through my sd card??and how do you do that?? i mean it cant be the wrong deodexed because i chose the first one for xxdll4 and it the installation does boot on my phone..
i mean everything looks great except for the fact that it stops at the beginning of installation and reboots me to recovery prematurely....
ANY HELP???!!!! THANKS!!!
Proced a factoty reset, erase format all except SD Csrd in CWM optiond.

how do i install twrp?? where is it? and what is it??
install what update using TWRP?? the custom rom?? or another 4.1.2 update??
sorry im trying to understand all this....
TWRP is other kind of recovery. Try a fredh install using it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1956939
But, before, wipe/factory reset using CWM
Install TWRP (.zip file) using CWM
Reboot recovery
Install new tom using TWRP

[Q] How to resolve this bootloop

Hi, I have a problem on my Galaxy GIO GT-S5660.
After turning off my phone, this has gone in bootloop. I've tried to search solutions on the forum, but no one has worked.
I can't go into recovery mode, just into Downloading mode and Emergency Downloading mode. When I try to flash it with a stock rom with Odin, it works until the reboot: when the phone is going to reboot, it doesn't start again. Odin takes his 5 minutes and say "PASS", but the phone is in the same bootloop and I can't use the Recovery mode.
I tried to flash the rom with Odin just using One Package option and either putting 4 packages.
Any idea?
Thanks!
P.S.: Do you know what is "Parameter Clear", "PDA format", "MD5 RAM Check" and "Phone Boot Udpate" under the "Debug ONLY" menu? I use Odin Multi Downloader v4.42.
what did you do? rom manager?
cuz not booting and corrupt recovery cant happen out of nothing, and it are complications of using rom manager on the wrong way.

BOOTLOOP
After updating, from samsumg, my android doesn't start and i cann't use it. Try everthing, any ideias?
It sounds like we have the same problem.
My phone won't boot normally (I just get a black screen that flashes every few seconds) and I can't get into recovery mode, only download mode. Tried flashing with Odin and it didn't seem to change anything. I don't know what else to do.

I have the same black flashing screen when my Gio is charging, but I have the Samsung logo flashing every few seconds when I try to switch on the phone. What did you do on yours? Rom Manager or what?

It might have been that I tried to read /dev/stl5 (EFS partition) and that corrupted it. Or it might have been that I tried to flash it using heimdall (which I later discovered doesn't work on Gio). That didn't seem to do anything though, so I'm not sure what actually bricked it.

I would try to use PDA format under Debug Only menu in Odin 4.42, if I only knew what it does. Or maybe use Boot Update, under Debug menu... do you know any official manual of Odin and his Debug options?

I tried those. PDA format makes Odin crash. Boot update doesn't help.

Same crash bere with PDA format, but I tried Odin 4.42. You too?
Can you guys still boot into recovery? If not, try flashing recovery via Odin. Once in recovery, factory reset your device, wipe system, wipe dalvik, wipe everything. Then try once again with Odin to flash your stock ROM - try a one package file (includes everything).

I can't get into recovery. If I boot while holding [home], the screen just blinks every few seconds, the same as if I boot without holding anything. I have tried flashing CWM recovery or stock ROM with Odin; it doesn't seem to change anything.

Did you got it?
have you tried to flash cwm whit odin? you don't need a rom to boot just flash a recovery twrp/cwm and wipe everything or you can try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1153310
It's happening the same form me... I never used Rom Manager WTH!!! I flashed a lot of times on my samsung galaxy ace stock roms, and never happened this... dunno what to do but this is so strange... can go in download but flash when I flash any stock, stays the same "flash" bootloop, samsung logo only 1s and disappear 1s and the same... nothing...

[Q] Stuck at boot and CWM doesn't boot

i accidently enabled some option under development tools (something about dual display, and i pressed in 1080p option) and when i did that the hole phone froze and i restarted and now it keeps getting stuck in boot.
But the hardest part is that i can't get in to CWM i keep trying but it just boots over and over again. I even tried to install another CWM with odin but no luck there still the same.. cause i have a backup but i can't reach it.
so if you guys don't know how to fix it could you tell me how to wipe all so i can re-install cm10.2 and then just restore from the backup i did before that's sitting on my ext.sdcard

Some suggestion
A) Try to download full wipe stock rom which you will get 5 files.
Or
B) flash twrp thru odin pc , boot into it and perform full wipe.
Or
C) Download bootloader and flash it thru pc odin and full wipe rom as well ( dangerous)
Just for your information, please use search function to find the related thread( mentioned above) and understand it before you proceed.
