Remove last update - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

So hopfully someone knows an answer to this, the li3 update messed up my keyboards so bad. Auto correct and all that is broken. Swype doesnt even do it besides while swyping. How can i go to the previous update? All li3 did was destroy the keyboard. Nothing else

You could find the image of LG8 and flash that. You could also remove the version of Swype that came with LI3 and install the latest Swype beta. This requires that you are rooted. I did this and the beta Swype works fine.
There are procedures for removing Swype around. The involve using something like Root Explorer and deleting /system/app/Swype.apk and /system/lib/libSwypeCore.so, then rebooting. Once you have done this you can download the swype installer from beta.swype.com and use the latest version.

Would flashing the lg8 update require root

Try Swype beta the installer is fixed now. No removing the old Swype , you can have birth installed.

[Q] Titanium Backup not working

When I open the app I just get a black screen saying waiting for permission. I go into menu n hit refresh app list and then permission is granted but I'm still stuck at the black screen. Also I get a message saying "System requirements have not been met"....Any ideas on how to fix it pls???

Did this start happening after you updated it from the market? After I updated mine yesterday it went nuts. I used ROM manager to fix permissions then rebooted into RA 2.3 and chose fix uid mismatches or whatever it actually says in "other". Everything was fine after it booted back up.
Is this your first time running the app? If so, hit the "Problems?" button and install Busybox. It will work fine after you do that.
If you open up Superuser is it showing up in there?
This is the screen that i keep seeing, I cnt get nonthing else. This not my first time using TB. And it does show up in the superuser app..

Unknown notification

Dies anyone know what this star notification belongs to? I think it might be malware, but I downloaded lookout security and it didn't find any issues.
It is an advertisement for an app, but the link doesn't let me actually go anywhere.

Try downloading airpush and find the app
sent from my BAD A$$ Epic touch
Airpush. Its an ad system. Remove either your live wallpaper or free music down loader, it will go away. I am fairly certain. If you go to the airpush website there is also a way to opt out of airpush.

it is an ad ware program. I had it on go launcher ICS theme. I deleted it and found anther ICS theme for it and the stars/ads stopped. Also do you have ADFree or AdAway? they often help.
I've opted out of air push, found that it was probably the jellybean locker theme for go-locker using air push detector, and uninstalled it...I'll post if it comes back.
Thanks for the quick replies

out of nowhere
Temp unrooting does fix this but comes back after a while.. so what's wrong ?

That happened to me too. I think it was an app trying to upload a log. I could be wrong though. I just selected google drive always and it went away.

Reflash the su binaries for JB. They're laying around here somewhere.

Also, shame on me, I don't have the original OS backed up on CWM...
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
You need to edit your build.prop.
change
ro.product.device
Value should be d2att
Should flash after that.
I got the same error too. Simply updating CWM to the latest version (version listed in my sig) fixed the problem.
Probably easier than editing.
So change the name of the .zip or something located in the.zip ?

Update cwm, then flash the ROM zip. No need to edit anything.

Browser missing Google bookmarks

When I updated my HTCOne to 4.4.2 I'm missing my Google bookmarks on my stock browser. . I don't really like using the chrome browser. I've done a master reset and still the same. I'm not rooted. 100% stock. How can I fix this?

I believe google discontinued syncing bookmarks and browser data. They no longer offer the service.
I am rooted and running santods stock debloated rom and I too did not have my bookmarks in the stock browser. i like the stock browser because it still has quick controls which chrome had but took out. I found the zip to install ChromeBookmarksSyncAdapter apk via recovery on this site and then was able to turn on the bookmarks sync from within my account.
I am not sure if you can take the apk from within the zip and do a side install on unrooted or not since it has been awhile since i have been unrooted on any phone i have had. If you can get that apk installed then you will be in business.
Thanks for the info guys!
