Are you looking for something specific? If you're not looking for a specific one, there are a ton of 3rd party keyboards in the Play Store.

actually i have been a non-sense ICS rom and the keyboard was just perfect except for the smiley key, which i wanted to replace with the return key
is this possible? can i get such a keyboard?

I don't know; for such a specific request, you will probably need to just try them for yourself. I use SwiftKey, and long-pressing on the return key gives you smileys.

try Swiftkey or SlideIT from market

Try also smartkeyboard at the play store.

If you're willing to do a little extra for your keyboard, I suggest you take the time to register, download and instal Swype. I've had it ever since I got my phone, and I find it better than swiftkey! It's a long and tedious process, yes, but it is definitely worth the effort..

HTC Keyboard ICS
Hi, I am new here. I just flashed Sabsa Prime v8.5 and I found it is a great ROM but I encounter problem using the Chinese input. Anyone facing the same problem?
After searched around, I found the following thread.

swiftkey is just fine.

I have tried several keyboards and must say that swiftkey is by far the best, if you want to type quickly.
It predicts so many words and gets better over time by learning your typical vocabulary.

GO Keyboard
I am now using GO Keyboard for Chinese input.

The app I am using for the keyboard has this option but I like the ICS keyboard better and would like to keep that one for typing.

Using BAMF ROM. Go to their official website and its a battery icon mod. Those guys over at BAMF are working their asses off and putting out a quality product for all of us to enjoy! Cant thank them enough.

there's an app for that... go to the play store and search for an app called perfect keyboard. don't remember if it costs anything but not only can you choose the 123 board as an option, you can also theme the keyboard and resize it to match your current theme. try it out!
Hey auto thanks for the reply but the screenshot that I posted foes the same thing. But I actually was trying to stay away from using a third party keyboard. Wanted yo mow if a dev could implement the number pad within the stock ics keyboard. But thanks for the suggestion though. I will try our perfect if all else fails. I used to use better keyboard with the old android but ics keyboard rocks!

I knew about that... As he said, I don't want third party apps. I am looking for something REALLY simple. A numeric keypad, just like the stock one when you open something that request it (when you're setting the time on Alarm app). Maybe a tweak to make it user openable?

I don't think you can get the keyboard itself, but if you just want the look then you can install a 3rd-party keyboard with a Sense theme. Go Keyboard comes to mind.
why do you cry about such a small thing like a keyboard man... you have lots of options best would be SwiftKey3

I'm already using it in mt HTC DHD, and it's working without any problem, 1st because I'm using arabic keyboard, second for arrow. I can't working in any rom without install it. You can also replace system keyboard with HTC one. Just as simple as extract the language you want with Input method and place it in /system/app. Give correct permissions.
If u need it, tell me which lang do u need. I have Latest OneX and it's working on my HTC DHD and S3

|APK| Android 4.2 Keyboard With Gesture Typing

Android 4.2 keyboard - Youtube link
Download ZIP file, and flash it in recovery. That also means you're going to need root. as you'll be writing to /system/apps. Before you do, though, either back up the stock keyboard (if you don't know how, you probably shouldn't be doing this) or create a full image backup, just in case.
Here's that ZIP file:
Download
Enjoy
P.S.
Set a new keyboard as default.
On Android keyboard settings you have a text correction.... you must to download dictionary.
Without this swype function doesn't work.

Do not bump threads so quickly. It's incredibly annoying and against forum rules.

I use 'Google Keyboard' which is the official 4.2 google keyboard, it's in the play store for free
One thing I really like about it, you can change the 'long press' delay so for numbers you don't have to wait 2.5 million years before it shows up!

I use swiftkey that it's well know by everyone and I like touchpal too as a free option (I've google 4.2 in my tablet and I like too).

As I prefer having control over the vibration, and that wasn't an option on the LG keyboard!

I recommend AI TYPE keyboard.it's full qwerty with numeric top row.for a big screen it's the best.
I like Kii keyboard... Same as Google keyboard but with addons and different layouts....
I loved swift key before but it now annoys me because it auto corrects in search bars too which is a pain
