You know the jellybean Easter egg. I found a candy cane in it out of nowhere? Is that hinting that candy cane is after key lime pie or something?

Theres a little single candy cane hidden in the 'tap os version #' Easter egg for jb.
Apparently the file name for the icon is 'Jandy Cane'

Not "new" news. There's been a ton of speculation. Who knows, maybe that is when we'll get the official version, in Dec?!? Heck my guess is as good as any other right now.

It could just be something to throw us off and get us talking. Catch us by surprise when it's actually Key Lime Pie. I'm not a fan of this Kandy Kane. I feel like they are pushing it to stay alphabetical. Just use Key Lime Pie it sounds better and makes more sense.

Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium

I'm still guessing it just means the new one is Kandy Kane. So much for Key Lime Pie. It wouldn't have gone with their little layout at Google home offices anyway. Would have looked weird with a gingerbread man then jelly beans then a pie lol

Can't wait for licorice and then marzipan.

Kandy cane is not a real thing, Google releases actual, real life, desserts...not mythical ones.

There's a little trick to get the candy cane up once in the jellybeans lock screen and unlock 5/6 times should show up as it jumbles the beans up every time... I've had it 3 times this way

Well google did release code names alphabetically:
(C)upcake
(D)oughnut
(E)clair
(F)royo
(G)ingerbread
(H)oneycomb
(I)ce Cream Sandwich
(J)ellybean
(K)andy Kane??
Edit: I dont know what A and B are. Some one tell me? lol. Maybe A is for Android and B is for Beginnings? So Android Beginnings? haha
maybe it IS kandy kane because they could possibly releasing the next "major" upgrade near winter to fit the theme. Kinda weird that it'll be the only version with "incorrect" spelling if they go though with it/ or are planning it.

No, it is not photoshopped. Coming from the gnex there were 80 threads in our forums involving this.
There is no way Google will name the next Android version Kandy Kane. It is an operating system, not a stripper.

Not yet I haven't on JB just the candy cane so far, on an ICS rom I found a jellybean in the ice cream sandwich bodied androids. The Easter egg has been included since GB, in GB I found an ice cream sandwich. I wonder if v5 will be kandy cane or kandy Kane instead of key lime pie since it seems like the Easter eggs contain a clue to the next builds codename

This is present in FK09 as well. From Settings->About Phone, tap the version like you did in ICS and you get one big JB. Do a palm swipe from L to R on the top of the screen and get the many JBs.

U can also longpress the jellybean to get into the group of them to play with u can flick em around and stuff. Its been in every build since GB some u just have to tap the version numbers a whole lot, but its still there. Its actually hidden in aosp source by the Google devs. So all roms/devices have it if they are on GB or newer
