[Q] Evo for sale question...

I looked but did not see a "for sale" section. Looking to sell my Evo and wasn't sure where to post. Any help in pointing to correct section would be greatly appreciated. It's revision 2 btw way...had phantom skinz protector as well as hard plastic case on from day one. Couldn't be in better shape.

swappa.com is not a bad place to start. Local is nice but not everyone will have luck with this. Maybe OP lives in the sticks in Tennessee. Doubt if Cletus and/or Linda Lou would wanna buy a smartphone Current prices on swappa are 285 and up to 400.

Sweet...appreciate the advice. Just listed on swappa.com. Went and tested the thunderbolt today for about 20 mins. Damn that thing is quick and smooth as butter. I love my evo and I have it running top notch, but there really wasn't a comparison.

You going with thunderbolt ? Mmm I would think it twice HTC has late updates, and is not a big improvement compare to the EVO , might want to wait for something better thoi want to sell my EVO for 350$ if possible I add it some extra goodies hopefully u do, I dust out my old Samsung moment for now a month won't hurt lol ,

My long stupid trade story - Black E4GT > White iPhone 4s -> White E4GT

So I currently have a Black E4GT.
I'm trading a guy this weekend for his iPhone 4s 32gb White.
I'm only doing this because I'm upgrade eligible end of the month (3/31/12).
I'm planning on upgrading to the White E4GT (I like white, had too much black phones), then selling the iPhone 4s I traded for on eBay for like $500~
OR should I wait for that Galaxy Nexus (I don't care for expandable storage) or supposed Galaxy Journal (CDMA version of Note), problem I know is, longer I wait, the more value the iPhone 4s will lose, and I really really hate iOS, I'm only doing this to make a couple hundred on the side, and that White E4GT is so nice looking haha.

As much as I hate to say it, the iphone will probably hold it's value more than a e4gt, especially a 32 GB. I'm so glad my upgrade comes in November, hopefully the Galaxy 3 is out by then, and maybe I can pull some iphone 5 trading shenanigans for some extra $. One can hope.

I got MAJOR problems! Lmao. Yeah the trade for the iPhone 4s is solid, cuz as previously mentioned, the iPhones for some reason are shenanigans expensive used on eBay with clean ESNs.
I just hate iOS and there is nothing to upgrade to come April 1st, and I'm sure Galaxy S III or Nexus won't be out by then... Maybe I will just deal with iOS for a couple months.

id normally say no point in waiting as there is always something new on the horizon, but doing all of that just to get the white one seems pretty insane. And i thought I was bad with gadget swapping and selling lol

I don't see how the Nexus would be worth moving to from the E4GT. The ONLY thing you are gaining is a native pure Android experience... which you can duplicate with CM9 on the E4GT. Hardware-wise, there's no advantage over what you have now.
In fact, I'd be nervous about any phone without external storage to send backups to. If you brick your phone and your nanadroid is on the internal storage, you're screwed.

I never backup. I have ODIN in case I brick.

Why don't you just sell the iPhone for a white epic touch or check craigs list a lot of people trading them especially in white

I'd rather have a nexus for numerous reasons (mostly development) but it isn't even close to being worth what one would end up paying to switch from an et4g

True. But its like I could sell the iPhone 4s on eBay for like 550.
Then if I bought a Epic (white or black regardless), off contract, they usually go for like 300-350 locally. Reducing profit to 200~ lol.
And I think if I hold on to the 4s, it would either lose value when the 5 gets released, or I'd gouge out my eyes from staring at that small crap screen and 4x4 squares O_O

if I was you I'd sell the iPhone get a white epic touch like you want to and with the profit you have use it with your upgrade when the nexus comes out so you will have both epic and nexus :O

Hey neilkarunatilaka total side-note... How you liking your setup?

AT&T i777 Tradein Value

I just left my local store with my new GS3! I wanted to pass on to everyone that the tradein value that I received on my GS2 (i-777) was exactly $121, which brought the grand total of the GS3 to $89.
While I understand that I could have sold my GS2 online for more, I really didn't want to go through the hassle.
Hope this helps someone make the jump

You just threw away about $150 by not taking 5 minutes of your time to sell it on ebay. Is your time that valuable (you make $1,800/hour)?
The AVERAGE buy-it-now selling price on ebay for a used AT&T S2 is currently $263, and you could've got a bit more by throwing in your old accessories.

I got 200 for my iPhone 4 16gb at games top, that was cash as I had a promo for extra credit. I lost out on maybe 25 bucks for shipping/ eBay fees if I went that route. I avoid Craigslist as I had a lot of bad experiences selling through it.

No, my time isn't too valuable, I was just lazy and wanted the GS3. I have had horrible experiences with both eBay and CL, and prefer not to use them. MOD, could you close or even just delete this thread...I have learned to not try and be helpful.

Why is everyone flaming the OP. I wouldn't even try to sell an i777 for more than 150. He only lost out on like 30 bucks.
BTW, I buy and sell phones all the time. And have for 5 years so...

WoW .. I sold my Skyrocket on eBay the day the GS3 was released .. $385 I got for it and to put a sour note on this .. I didn't pay a cent for my GS3 .. 18 year veteran with AT&T .. has its perks at times.

Been waiting for all my friends to waste their $$ on the S3 just so the S4 can be released in early spring/late winter. LTE isn't quite setup through Sprint in my city so purchasing the S3 would've only benefited me in faster 3g speeds, plus the other new features weren't at all "wow factors" for me. Seeing as how the last S4 Rumor was debunked by Samsung, I'll wait till i see something more official come out...

It seems like we got the S3 quickly but in reality we got the S2 later in the USA than the other side of the world. I wouldn't expect a S4 until next summer but that's just my guess. There will be other cool phones out soon though like the new Nexus.

I agree. i don't see an S4 coming out... However, a Nexus type device would be more likely. (Seeing how LG one soon, Motorola and Sammy are supposedly in work on them as well)

My upgrade isn't until 1/1/14, and I'm pretty pumped to see what kind of new phones they have out then.

There's always going to be something bigger and better in the future, if you always wait for the next big hing you're going to be phone less for a long time..

Meh, Note too is too big for me lol.. Like to fit my phone in my pocket.. not wear it.
Nothing wrong with the phone, just my opinion.. overall its specs and everything are great. Just not for me.. If i want a tablet, i'll grab a nexus

128GB S4 sounds sweet... but this article just screams unreliable. Samsung already got sued for mimicking the iPhone, they're not going to do it again.

Indeed.. LG nexus should be announced soon (Optimus G isn't all that bad). Several nexus devices should be coming out as well.
Phablets aren't my thing.. I'll get a Nexus 7 if i want a tab.. That's one of my next buys.

i just boughta n7 and its awesome. till i shattered the screen, anyways i dont know if i would go with a s4, i think ill just stick with the s2 for now and when the s3 gets cheaper, ill go and get it. Man i see everyone with the s3 these days

I wish Samsung would quit dicking around with these f2.6 camera modules and make one that does low light much better. They're making the cameras faster, which is good but I am a low light junkie. Oh, and while I'm at it, the camcorder audio section, make a better agc for it so audio isn't so easily clipped in video record mode. I met a guy last week who was showing off his s3. He was showing me the burst mode on the camera. I saw how many pics he could take, then I fired up fast burst camera and showed him how long it took to take 100 shots on my s2.

There's a rumor floating around that there will be a nexus version of the note coming out under the nexus affiliate program either around Xmas or just after the first of the year. My upgrade is available Dec.1 and if the rumor holds true ill be jumping on that nexus note

Yea, any phone meeting specs can have a nexus version, it will come with plain old aosp and have mfg uis available as an add on thru a customization center, similar to theme manager in CM. I've been watching the rumors and almost all new devices will meet spec requirements as long as the mfg wants to leave their UI optional, which was an idea I thought would be the.best way to sell all android devices back when i got my evo and sense acted like a fat kid at the all you can eat with my ram

I got mine bumped up to Dec 1 instead if Feb 1 for some technical issues in my area back in June where I couldn't use my internet for almost 2 weeks
Edit: I like the idea of this nnexus affiliate program, it will mean faster updates and more choices since the mfg bloat will be optional you can rock aosp as soon as its released and the mfg will only need to update the theme and apps and not an entire rom :thumbup:

I got mine bumped to when November 1st.. It was hell getting it bumped had to call multiple reps lol

There was a poster on there that said he worked for T-Mobile and they had a briefing. Its the most recent droid-life article for the HTC 10 talking about the update today. If you go in the comments. He has since deleted his post. I'm guessing it was pretty true for him to delete it.

I mean it would fall in line with the time frame. Id bet it gets announced tomorrow giving them a week to advertise. What else really could HTC and T-Mobile throw in? They cant throw in a Vive because its alot more expense than the lg 360 cam like they did with the G5 or what sammy did with the s7/s7e. Plus I'd imagine HTC doesnt wanna discount it too much. They need money lol

I'll try to check-in with our HTC Rep today and see. We expected a A LOT more info from the webinar other than "launching May 18 with a free Ice View case and extra charger" promo. The way she worded it made it sound like it was going to be a launch day only thing which I hope is not true... They've already made it more difficult to sell by killing off Uh-Oh! on carrier devices.

As per T-Mobile Twitter, no pre-order, just straight up launch.
I am not waiting until the 18th. Since I found another $100 off code that works, I just ordered via HTC with next day air for $7. $650 after taxes. I figure if I resell it this fall if the new Nexus proves to be great, I'll probably recoup what I would've paid in JOD payments anyway. Or if I really love the phone, I'll just return it within 30 days to HTC and use JOD with T-Mobile to get the extra freebies and not have to worry about re-selling later.

I hope this phone is available via jump on demand!

Would you guys / gals trade back in a Note 5 and "Jump" onto the HTC 10 ?
I never once use the S-Pen, and this Note has the same sized 3,000mAh battery as the 10, so they should get close to same battery life ? I always prefer Sense over TW.

I'm definitely trading in my Note 5 for the HTC 10 next Wednesday. I'm just hoping they have the carbon grey available when I go.

Do we think it may be the same model as the unlocked variety except with different hardware? If that's the case, then I hope it would be possible to covert it to an unlocked varient.
