CM9 Nightly Build

CyanogenMod 9 nightly build have started for some phones. I don't know if I am allowed to put the link but its some thing like this download cyanogenmod com/?type=nightly. I hope they add T989 sooon.

Those look like alll devices with current stable cm7 support

so is this to say we have ics or not? because if we dont then the world knows we've been waiting on it hence thread is taking up space. not tryna be rude but really look back and see all the ics threads and you'll understand

In most cases this is right but doesn't necessarily need to happen. Look at the g2x..... They will most likely never get ics from lg and cm arcee compiled a just about stable ics rom that is beautiful and works great. And thats with tegra being closed source to so drivers had to be a pain also. So we could see nightlys soon who knows we have no clue they could come out this week for all we know

I am sitting with a Skyrocket CM7 rom that isn't quite finished and isn't ever going to be finished just because I can't stand anything but...
CM9 will come...its only a matter of time, many talented people are working on ICS.

Yeah, I doubt that CM7 will ever be released in more than alpha. The CM team decided to go straight to CM9 with this device which means they will not do CM7 and it doesnt seem like anyone outside of CM team would bother since nobody has up til now and I am pretty sure the chances of a proper CM7 build will only go down when CM9 is released. All you can do is hold tight.

Title says it all. I need a completely stock ROM with ICS icons and widgets and settings menu, mail application, etc...
I mean COMPLETELY STOCK 100% ICS without any Sense what-so-ever.

No Wallpaper. No Wifi. No Status Bar. No video in camera. No recent apps. As soon as I saw the no video bug I switched to my current ROM which is OnePrimo I believe.

Everything works....I tested everything before releasing....you have to hard reboot after 1st boot to fix most issues...as per status bar just flash the add-on from SuPrimo Rom thread(2nd post)

I'd personally love to have a non-sense CDMA version (for my Virgin Mobile One V) without the sense skins on the apps (camera, phone, settings, etc.), just stock ICS UI. If you ever make that, I'd be willing to do testing for you and report bugs if that helps.

Best JB Rom on the nexus?

ive been searching for some kind of poll which shows peoples opinions on the best rom, i created a thread before asking CM10 or AOKP but thats not really giving me answers im looking for..

I've been using the Vicious CM10 kangs rom and its been great. I used Vicious ASOP for a while too without any issues either. Both are very stable and good on battery life too.

i can't even run this rom as a toroplus user, but i know you're right

I've been using Vicious JB 4.1.1 and loving it.

i cant believe there are so many of these threads and at least 3 new ones a day... and i cant believe its not butter

I used the Vicious CM10 Nightlies for a while and they were pretty good.
Today I just flashed the AOKP Build 1 and I like it a lost so far but can't speak to its performance/batterylife.

I'm using AOKP JB Build 1 right now and loving it but I was using Paranoid Andriod JB alpha builds before and they were pretty good too considering they were alpha stage. Have a look at the threads for each ROM that interests you and read some of the more recent feedback from users to see what problems (if any) people are having. Most importantly, make a nandroid and give the ROM(s) a go. Try each for a couple of days or a week and you'll find what works best for you.

Half the time the leaks are better than officials and the latest leak could very well be the OTA.

Personally I'll take a deodexed rooted leak over an official release anytime. The only reason I even want the official release is so we get source and really get to see what this can do.

The leaks work really well. Obviously slower and laggier than cm, but that is tw

You need to post a link to the thread where there are instructions. Not just to the ROM. If he installs that without proper instructions because of the link you posted, it can fall on you if he bricks. Please post a proper link to the ROM thread.

Can CM10 run on GB08?

So if I were to get root with the GB08 one-click. Would it be possible to install CM10? If so, whats the easiest way? Would there be a ODIN flashable recovery where I can then finish up with installing a nightly? Or do I need to use one of the ancient repacks to get CM10?

If your on gb08 all you need to do is read the instructions on how to install the cm10 rom

I looked for them and couldn't find them. Can you point me to the one that is specefic for coming off a GB08 stock rooted?

There is nothing special. Just follow the instructions of the specific ROM.

It seems to me that you don't wanna read and I'm not gonna hand it to you. How hard is it to read the first post of the rom you wanna flash. That post will give you everything you need to flash. So go to what ever rom you wanna flash and read read read.

Obviously you have not looked into the CM10 rom. I have been around long enough to know how to look for things and read. There is nothing on GB10 and CM10. You are out of your league here. Thanks anyway, but you may now move on. If you want to prove me wrong, show me the thread. It is easier than arguing.

Well considering that there is no GB10. It seems you are out of luck. There is a GB08, but if you take the time to read, you will know that JB modems and kernels will not work with CM10. Everything you have asked is throughout the E4GT section. If the instructions don't mention what you are looking for or you don't see any mention in the thread of it, it is either up to you to test it or it probably won't work. So as long as you follow exactly what is in the instructions, you will be fine.
Now, telling someone that they are out of their league and that they can move on is immature and not your place, especially when I know for a fact that Sasquatch is a very respected member here. Everyone here is offering the minimal help for obvious answers. If you don't feel the need to take the time to read and research stuff on your own using the search function, Google, or even YouTube, we won't feel the need to help you.

I doubt that you will find any. How much time and space would it take to list installation instructions coming from every individual rom listed in the forum? The instructions are the same regardless of which rom you are currently using.

That's right don't be messin with the Sqash and why would you want to mess up such a great build like gb08 with cm10?
This would not be possible until source is realised by Sammy, and that is obvious because there is no onboard working recovery yet. If you get around to research the thread you will notice a bunch of posts concerning cm10 and it's ability to bork stuff on your phone.

Out of my league don't think so. And gb08 and cm10 are two different things and will never be able to run at the same time. So it's best for you to figure out what you want either tw or cm10. Me along with other members run either of the 2 rooms with no problems. So yeah choose one and install. As for you saying I'm out of my league I don't think I am. Look I'm a 13 yr old android enthusiast who might know a whole lot more than you so with that being said I'm done. :thumbup:

My dad had this account when he had the evo 4g. Then I got the epic touch and I took over his account. I didn't wanna start a new one so I took over and here I am doing my best to remember everything and help who needs help. Thanks for having my back I got your back as well. :thumbup:

Now I REALLY know you don't know what you are talking about. You are correct that they are 2 different things... but "run at the same time?" Clearly you dont understand that GB08 is the firmware version and CM10 is an OS load that stacks over whatever the developers support it to load to. And to try and say that CM10 will "never" run on GB08 is complete ignorance.

You can't run them at the same time. If you run cm10 can you use jellybean kernel or modem no you can't. Tw and cm10 are totally different ui. In other works your trying to lecture me when it's obvious your the one asking for help. Come on man try a little harder.
EDIT: And you come on here and ask if gb08 can run on top of cm10. You need to do a little more reading. You can't run cm10 at the same time with gb08. If I'm wrong can someone please correct me.

Just because the evidence presently suggests that CM10 cannot run on GB08, does not mean it will never be possible. You are trying to compare CM10 to GB08 to TW. TW has nothing to do with ANY of thouse. TW is a LAUNCHER. GB08 is a firmware version that can run any JB compatible launcher. CM10 is designed FOR and IS JellyBean. Presently it is having to be hack loaded but that doesn't mean that someone some day won't figure out how to make it run on top of the GB08 firmware. And just so that you know... I am presently using GB08 stock rooted. TW is the stock launcher; but I have loaded ADW over the top. ADW is used inside CM10. CM10 is not a launcher... it is the platform in which AOSP is run on an android device.

"Never" was never said for one.
As was explained earlier, due to there fact that source had not been released yet, there is no gb08 support, 4.1 android support yes, but nothing for this specific build.
Also to blatantly disregard the instructions to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS in the correct thread of the ROM you wish to install is ignorance at its finest.
Then to attack the people who kindly offered you the information you seek, is not only ignorant but also small minded and weak.
And for further instruction on the matter, this question would have been better asked in the cm10 thread rather than increasing your post count and causing other members to feel the need to defend themselves.
My suggestion, READ (there's that pesky word again...) the form rules on posting in the proper places, creating threads, and harassing members. Then when finished with that (are you ready for this?) READ the op in question in the thread of the ROM you wish to flash.
