Networkingrus.com seems like the cheapest place at the moment - coming in at $669.99 for both colors. I am ready to pull the trigger but waiting for the announcement in 2 days, hoping the price drops especially if the US Variants are similar spec'd with LTE added.
Any other places I'm not aware of? I'm in CA, so newegg is out of the question after taxes.

In case you're in a cave today, there is an ebay deal of the day selling the WHITE one for $590 + Tax in CA.
This is a heck of a deal if you want the white one considering if you buy the phone from T-mobile it will be $300 (and if you want to cancel your contract from Tmo it will be $300 ETF + $50 for 1 month service + Tax AND a lot of hassel).

Ebay is the best place to get a cheap one - they sometimes go for £300 brand new, which is a great bargain!
Theres a few places about, even Ebay like the previous poster suggested. but of all the HTC approved sellers. I,lld suggest you use Devicewire. I got my TyTN 2 from them and had no problems. I also got my Touch Pro 2 from them but I exchanged it cos I strongly beeived the first one wasnt actually brand spanking new. Not that there were any marks on it but the factory screen protector was missing and there were finger smudges all over it. Anyways I got a replacement device with a discount i.e I paid the advertised price on the day the replacement device was shipped (£452.99). Handtec are cheaper than Devicewire but as I found out when I bought a TyTN 2 from them (it was returned), they sell Grey imports.

If you want it cheap, you might consider getting it on contract from Vodafone. You can get one with no up-front payment on a £35 a month contract that runs for 18 months. If you want "unlimited mobile web" then you're pretty much going to be paying £20 a month for a contract anyway, so that means you're basically only paying £15 a month for 18 months for the phone - which works put at £270, with 18 months interest-free credit. You get either 750 minutes, 250 texts and unlimited landline calls, or 900 minutes and unlimited texts.
It can be even cheaper if you're willing to commit to a 24-month contract.
The phone will be unlocked (so you can change contract at the end of 18 months) and I believe it can be debranded without too much difficulty.
I'm a personal believer in www.expansys.co.uk for new devices. Sometimes they can be a tad more expensive but I cant fault their customer service at all.
Its swings and roundabouts... I paid £450 for mine from expansys.

For someone in the United States trying to get the HSPA version of the Galaxy Nexus, where would be it be the cheapest to buy from (after tax, shipping, VAT, etc)?
I've been trying to get my hands on the GNexus, but paying 750+ USD just doesn't seem worth it (even if it won't come out in the US for a month or two if at all). Can we compile a list to compare the prices of all the retailers (online preferably) that are selling the phone?

That's still a bit pricey... about one hundred more than what I am willing to pay (I got both the Nexus One and Nexus S for <$600). Is that the cheapest price anywhere?
Does it come with a warranty or insurance?

This costs more than the Nexus One or Nexus S. You won't find it for cheaper for a while.

Unless they start selling them in the US directly at retailers, you won't find one for under $600 any time soon. Right now Handtec is the cheapest at just under $700 as others have said. When calculating your price keep in mind that some credit card companies charge a foreign transaction fee of around 2%-3%.

That's it! I'm sleeping under a rock! Someone wake me up when the Galaxy Nexus is under $600! I have nothing else to live for! :'(
ok, got it... £450 is a pretty reasonable price to me, since i'm gonna be in the usa next week i'm thinking to buy it, so i'm wondering if i'll need to pay any import duty...
Youre also paying the premium of it being imported and the satisfaction of having it early. Its not a high rollers club thing. Its just reality at the moment. The more my atrix rebooted the more i want to throw this phone out the window even though its a nice and capable phone. My nexus hopefully will be here by friday. Oh yes it will be mine.

They come out in Canada on the 8th so there should be more of them out there so the price should (theoretically) go down
No. Probably still looking at $700usd with all the fees, shipping and taxes. Some of us thought about that but the savings are marginal.

Here is how to get the Samsung Galaxy Nexus for up to as little as $465 in the US:
1. Sign-up for MrRebates.com to get 2% cash back from Expansys-USA.
2. The phone on Expansys USA is $750, but you can use the discount code 20OFFLS to knock the price to $730. (It has to be a US seller in order for you to be able to use step 3.)
2. Since you use MrRebates.com, you get 2% cash back, which brings the effetive price down $715.
3. You can use the Price Protection feature of your credit card to get price drops of up to $250 reimbursed, but only if the transaction was in US Dollars. So if, within 60 days, you see the phone advertised in the US for less than $730, the credit card will give you the difference.
4. This might reduce your total damage to $465.
We may not see a full $250, but I venture to say that a $100 price drop is virtually guaranteed.
Other have mentioned to use BigCrumbs.com instead for 4% cash-back. Their reviews are not quite as good as those of MrRebates.com though.

Interesting about the price protection... i never knew that. I did some quick googles on it, and it seems most credit cards don't have it anymore, or the restrictions make it useless.

Your "total damage" will only be as low as the cheaper one you could get in the US. And since the phone will never be sold for $465 unlocked in the US, you'll never get a full $250 back. Like you said, a more reasonable price we'll see for the US unlocked version is about $600.

For example this one: http://www.capitalone.com/cash.
ebates.com has 6% cash back from expansys-usa again today so i ordered mine for $750 - $20 coupon - 6% ebates cash back - 1% credit card cash back = $678.9 in the end (hopefully). oh and if you're a new ebates.com user you get a $5 cash back bonus.
Thanks for all of the tips everyone. I think I may pull the trigger today and get the Galaxy Nexus from Expansys.

I'm not too sure if this have been discussed on the GNex, but from what I've found looking around there doesn't seem to be any mention of importing the phone from canada.
Does anyone know if there's a website that does this? If so should I wait for the canadian release to import it or just give in and order it from expansys?
there's another topic floating around talking about that
the general consensus ends up being it'll cost the same as importing it from the UK
Just wait till the 8th...
ah thanks for the replies. I'm just sitting here debating if i want to put in the order right now or not for expansys. While I'd like to not miss the 2nd batch, I'm also certain that they don't ship through the weekends.
Hmmmm decisions....
It's about the same price as from the UK.
I checked with a Bell store earlier today, and they want $650 plus a month of service ($50) + our 13% tax of course. Ends up being ~$700 + tax. Virgin mobile wants the same thing, but I'm wondering what happens if you go on a pay as you go plan and just not load any minutes onto it. In that case it's still $650 + tax.
Not to mention shipping of course.
Is it possible to buy this phone for 650.00 plus tax and shipping and have it shipped to the USA?
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
For Canadians looking to have the device on launch day, contact me. My fee is "modest" but it will save you the hassle of arguing with reps, activating lines, credit checks, and cancellation requests through Bell.
Go check OmegaCell they have crazy prices now but once the device launches it will be good. And Bell has repeatedly told me that the phone is sim locked. The two best buys closest to my house both said they won't sell the phone outright.

For those buying the GN from the UK, get it from Handtec.co.uk Their price has consistently been the lowest of the pack unlocked (make sure you look at the regular price, w/o VAT). With tax and shipping (1-4 days FedEx. Got mine in 1 day!) you're paying about 690 which is great, considering the speed at which they deliver.
In addition (not sure if it's the same for other sellers) but handtec gives you a universal phone adapter/surge protector that covers Europe, the US, Japan, Australia, Thailand and the UK. It's not practical for use in the US (I'm using my sensation charger) but you never know when it might come in handy, especially if you travel a lot.
Just talked to a Costco representative who said that the Nokia Lumia 900 is likely to be there on launch day but if not, it'll be there in the first week. Price is going to be $99.99.
Why buy at Costco?
You only pay tax on the sales price (instead of paying tax on the retail value) and Costco also give you a free car charger, case and screen protector. You also get 30 days to return the phone if you don't like it for a full refund.
Not too bad to wait an extra few days if it's not available on launch day.
But AT&T will be free and Amazon for one cent. Plus I heard (see posts in the same forum) that there will be special promo in AT&T stores.
Not so sure if Costco is the best deal. Plus you have to pay for a Costco Membership.

Keep in mind that the free and one cent promos are for brand new customers. It's a great deal if any one decides to switch carriers.

I tried to get 710 for my wife off contract from Costco and the wouldn't even sell it to me. I doubt they would offer it for 99$ unless you are new.
That's what I thought... so if you are new subscriber AT&T and Amazon is better deal. Not that I can buy from them, but I do live close enough to the border and if there a better deal to be had, I would want to see the details. I know off contract is going to be about $450. But if Costco is selling for $99 then I would be interested. Seems to me that AT&T and Amazon are the place to buy for new subscribers.

You do need to be a Costco member to take advantage of it but if you already have it, it's pretty good.

Does Amazon still have it for 1 cent and AT&T still free for new subscribers? I tried it a few days ago and those deals didn't seem to be available. I would go that route too but I'm adding a new line to an existing AT&T family plan so I don't think those would work for me.

Apparently it's a discount applied at final checkout so the phone is free or one cent. Obviously I cannot try it because I'm not in the USA.
Best to call up AT&T or go to the store. Apparently there is also some other free stuff they are kicking in but that's not confirmed.
Just found out that Sam's Club is doing a similar deal to Costco where they only charge tax on the sales price of the phone. They don't include all the accessories that Costco does but another option if you have a membership to Sam's Club already.
Sweet. I actually sold my Note 1 on amazon for 350 bucks, and got the note 2 for 299 bucks. Newest phone, and made 50 dollars. lol

I find it funny that people still pay full 2 year contract pricing.
Only 2 phones I could not find at least 50% off asking price is iphones (new iterations) and latest blackberry bold (do not know why this still cost)
All in all welcome.

$299 is what most carriers are selling it for, especially on contract upgrade/extension. You sometimes get a better deal on a new contract (i.e., you aren't a current customer.)
Amazon had them for about $175 for a little bit but not on a contract upgrade. Then they went to $249, then $289. They seem to be back to $249 now on most carriers.
Usually the cheapest place is cartoys.com based in Seattle. Among other things, you get free shipping and no tax unless you live in Washington or a couple other states. AT&T (and I assume the other carriers) charge tax on the $699 list price. So here in California, the tax is about $60.
Cartoys finally has them available at $249. I did manage to get the only two they had a couple weeks ago at $149 each! I had been following their web site and they accidentally had posted them on the website at that price. I called and they discovered they shouldn't have posted them on the site because they didn't have any stock. So they took them down from the web site. I called a few days later and they had two phones in stock. With some taking, I was able to talk them in to selling them to me. But I wouldn't expect to see them at that price again for a bit.
