But the icon looks cool though .

Usb debugging. Check development settings to see if it's enabled. I'm not sure why it would show up if it's not plugged into a usb port but that's what it's for.

Many thanks, now i find alot of cool feature, but the icon still alive, sorry.
Did you try a reboot?
If not check running apps in the apps settings. Particularly the Media service.
Yes, i did both. But even after killing all apps that is running, and reboot, the icon is still there. I wonder if this is something only on ics 4.2.1, or else might be some kind of virus.
Two things.
1. There is no ICS 4.2.1 so I'm assuming you mean JB 4.1.2.
2. It's not a virus. It's not worth the effort necessary to make a virus for an Android revision that there are 3 devices officially running and will be phased out in just over a week.
As they said: If you can't fight it, joint it. I guess i still have an awsome icon which i cannot control to show of , but still, thanks for your help

IS there any change someone could develop a way to force the EVO to roam? I know there are quite a few people over at Android Central that have asked about it. Force roam is one of the two things I miss from my Pre, because I do a lot of traveling, and sometimes I'm caught in between Sprint and roaming and just bounce back and forth between 0 & 1 bar.
Thanks

I've seen that. Is it the only option? I was hoping someone with more knowledge then me would be able to make a simple app or widget with a switch. Is there just no option for that, or just a lack of interest?
Thanks for the reply

Done, thanks. I guess I have to stick with the posted method for now. It amazes me that someone can't make a simple little toggle widget.

Update: CyanogenMod 6 RC1 and Nightlies has forced roaming capability:

Tested and working.
Just messing about with KLoNe's theme and was puzzled by the Media Scanning Icon from the status bar. KLoNe (or the original author) has replaced the icons for part of the process of disconnecting USB storage but when the media scanning starts, the icons revert to stock, thus:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
These are the three icons that have been themed and they reside in framework-res.apk.
Does anybody know where the rather boring looking standard ones for media scanning are located so I can replace them?
It's under "MediaProvider.apk" there should be 1 icon in there that needs replacing.
You can't miss it

Plus Samsung don't have a sense of style when it comes to the Media Scanning completed. I mean, even they got it wrong...
The lights that usually appear between the buttons on my Arc S no longer work and I can't remember when they stopped! I wonder if a mod I've installed is to blame but I don't want to wipe my phone and start from scratch if possible so am looking for some help...
I am running 4.0.2.A.0.42.
Here is what I have installed:
V6 SuperCharger
I thought this might be the culprit so I used Script Manager to stop running the script at boot, rebooted and it made no difference.
Reboot option in power menu
I am using the one from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1094730
Status bar widget mod
I am using the Ultra theme from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295254
That's about it.
However, one thing is odd - I seem to have an 'Automatic brightness' setting in Display options and I'm pretty sure it wasn't there when I first got the phone!
Any help is welcome.

Found it - the reboot mod was to blame.
was there any other impact other than "they just didnt light up" ?
Nope - just no lights. Seems that a few of the reboot mods available in the apps forum have the same bug.
How did you get the option to turn off/on automatic brightness? I dont have that on my phone and have same firmware as yours.

It appeared when I installed the reboot mod - but it doesn't do anything so you're not missing out! I guess the reboot mod files must of originally come from an SE device that had working automatic brightness.
oh thats too bad
So I finally decided to download foxfi again on my note 4 recently. The USB tethering option works great but Im unable to use the wifi option due to the fact that att is disabling the wifi. Ive hit the home key to see if that works but that isnt working. Ive checked to see if the network would come up on my computer but it did not show. Please help me, Im without out internet in my house because we're in the process of moving but I still have work to do!
You should be able to just use the WiFi Hotspot on your phone via setting --> hotspot unless you're still on unlimited data. If you're on unlimited then you have to be rooted if I'm correct.
Hope it helps.
Does anyone know what causes this? Ad detection apps don't work on my phone ("...has stopped working.") and it doesn't pop up from notification bar so I can't long-press to find source. It pops up from the bottom of the screen every time an app from Play Store installs or updates....ugh!!!!

Never seen that. Sorry.
Hey there everyone,
I have snooping wife issues.
I need to know if there is anyway I can see if my wife has opened my phone. It's Samsung A70 running Android 10.
Are there any logs that show what time my phone was opened.
She probably knows my password.
Just wanted to know.
Thanks.
Help and cool comments are highly appreciated please.

Lol. Root cause analysis provided to prevent future failures...
This is what I did.
I found out my "sleep timings" from Samsung Health located in setup and noted my sleep time from there.
Then I collated it with "Samsung Digital Well-being" to see if any of the messaging app was operated while I was sleeping.
It was not.
So I'm going to change the login pin and password.
Let the kids grow.
I'll be living alone when they move out.
Maybe try using the goodlock module "nice catch" by samsung, it stores data about notifications by apps and sudden wakeup of phone.
If goodlock is not available in your country try other alternatives like nicelock from playstore or any other app that provides same functionality.
