[Q] I just go this phone and I need some help...?? - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Hi all,
I am not new to custom roms sa you can see on my sig..
But I want to know one thing..
What it the best rom..
I had a look at CM9,ICS but lat looks like it has still bugs in it so i was thinking of CM7 but is that going back from the stock rom I have on it,is there a custom rom of the Gingerbread..??
thanks..

CM9 beta 2 is good for daily used. Not really major bugs. So all worked well.
For now. I'm using miui v4. I have used to 3 days , and im not get any bugs, except those duplicate files. But its manageable. This room seem worked well. The problem is just battery consumption. Its really drained fast. Especially while using wifi. I have to charge 2x a day.
I will try it more for at least 1 week, so i can decide wether go back to cm9 or keep this rom.
Go ahead just try a few rom. Then you can decide.

New ROM..

Back story: I know the difference between most ROMs and have used MIUI, CM, and Myn's ROMs. I've been running CM7 lately and with this GPS still broken, yes I even did the fix by switching back to a sense based ROM; it helped for awhile, and the ROM just getting... stale to me I want to try a new one out. I liked MIUI when I was using before but with 4G finally in my area I don't wanna to drop it just for MIUI.
Question: What ROM would you recommend?
SalvageMod and/or Synergy when it is released to all. Give VaelPak a try, too. You should be impressed.
posting & replying via the XDA Premium app.
Thanks. I'll keep an eye out on the first two and will look into VaelPak.
Vaelpak is a great ROM. I used it as a daily for a while. I haven't been on his website lately, so I don't know if he's updated it in the last few months or not.
To me, the best Sense ROM is Koni's. Never had a FC or found anything that didn't work perfectly. And, it's stunningly beautiful.
The Giger ROM I'm using now is really cool, but after 2 weeks, I'm starting get a few minor FC's, which I notice happens with a lot of ROMs. Like they start to breakdown after awhile
Yeah the best sense rom to me is also konis elite series but right now im running the rom end of days.

How do you like it??
I never ran EOD, but Magnus's Destroyer was really the best CM7 ROM, I ran. Everything worked well, and that was months ago, plus he themes for it were outstanding.
I might try the Missed Me ROM, but no one's giving much feedback on it.

End of days is awsome great themes awsome custom transitions speed no force closes great battery life with tiamat sbc everything works perfect. Here are some screen shots
If you want to try a Sense 3.0 ROM, I've been using Sac's Kingdom ROM V4 for the past few days now and it is absolutely amazing. With the new GB kernel out and new radios, I've been getting very good battery life and its running really fast. Definitely worth a try.
I just downloaded xxxVirusxxx's gingerbread with HTC Sense 3.0 and I cant see my icons is there any way to fix this?
I'm on mikg 2.1 +3.0 v1.0 sense ROM and its amazing the best ROM I've flashed in a while and I flash every ROM that comes out.

I was on end of days but the black on black text issue was driving me nuts.. I was hoping that there would be a new rom out now that HTC release GB

Is it worth switching to JB from ICS yet?

I've been on CM9 RC1 for a while, but I want to switch to the CM10 kang; I'm worried that it'll suffer in battery life and stability though. Should I just wait for official or is it worth using as a daily now?

Agreed, also, CM9 is now up to RC2
All of my phones are running stock...
Epic - FC09 debloated
GS3 - LG2 debloated
GNex - 4.1.1 AOSP build
IMO, just keep the epic on stock or a stock based ROM... even though it is outdated, it runs best on the hardware.

I'd reply in the development forum, but xda-developers hate their users and I can't...
The main problem with the kang CM10 rom right now is the same problem they fixed in CM9, found here: epiccm.blogspot.com/2012/01/cm9-longterm-testing-is-showing-android.html (again, if xda-developers didn't hate their users, I could post a link).
If you can find a way to not use any RAM, its great! Once you open 2 or more apps, the system chugs for ~5 minutes each time you need a bit more RAM.
No. They just don't want any idiot or spammer posting in development. You need 10 contributing posts.

As others have said, I would wait. I tried the CM10 kang from the other day (not paranoid android version) and it just didn't feel "complete," likely because it isn't. Oddly enough I figured while I was wiping I would go back to TPR and am now enjoying superb battery life that I forgot I ever had while using ICS.

If you have to ask, probably not. It lacks a lot of polish and should only be used a step between proof of concept and daily driver. Or just to show off to others.
In my experience jellybean seems really smooth. But I was on aokp m6 previously so I was happy to be back on a cm build.

This is just my opinion.... But CM9 RC2....is by far the best yet.. And i mean that because it is flawlessly, no bugs whatsoever or fc... Just a little fyi... I always Odin back to stock before I flash anything... And RC2 is snappy, stable, and has great battery life...... I can wait for jb

Note quite "flawless" I'd say... there's still the camera focus problem, bluetooth problem, etc.
RC2 bugs follow.
Auto flash only works if you toggle flash on/auto after each reboot, no LED for video, video MMS messages do not work, slideshows for MMS do not work, Bluetooth will not connect or end calls with screen off and will often disconnect/reconnect at random times, WiFi sleeps regardless of set policy.
Everything else works fine.

I really can't talk for anybody else.... But i have no focus problem on my camera or blue tooth........... Like I said before... I always Odin back to stock and then reroot and then install the latest update of the rom I like...... And CM9 RC2 has been great with me.... I am not saying that using Odin to go back to stock and re flashing will fix all the problems..... But i don't have any complaints...

Bottom line, there are still some bugs... not huge ones, but the rom isn't 100% yet.... just sayin
I will agree with that.... The rom is not %100...... My point was that in my opinion.. This is rom is the most stable as of now...... And i have tried them all.... The water I look at it.... The build of a rom I can be as snappy or as fastest.... But for me stability is counts more.... What's the point of having a fast ui if it keeps fc on you..... You get my drift?

Sorry for my misspelling.... Have not had my coffee yet.......!!

My Defy Disappointment... no luck finding good rom

Hello
I've stop counting after 2000 hours spending flashing roms on my defy...
I came to a conclusion that no ICS/JB version will be good. everything I've tried eventually ended up with a slow rom that interfere daily use.
so I'm a bit disappointed about it cause I had to get back to CM7.2.
I've searched all over the net - what is the fastest rom for defy...and all forums say it's the CM7.
If someone can think of other version that works faster please let me know.
I really need FAST phone, and willing to flash an old rom, but to get stability and speed.
thanks for helping!
and thanks to all dev's that gave their souls in order to bring the newest rom to that old phone.
Try this rom :

if this one will be to slow or you , then you need Galaxy SIII

anyway, it is a bit slower than latest Quarx Build.

I tried V5 and V5.1. Both are based on Quarx 0409. V5.1 is supercharged, and is slower then original Quarx.
Rom has AOKP weather icons and some tweaks and cherries. Apex is default launcher, battery life is worst than original.
There are 3 versions for defy+, normal, overclocked and undervolted.
Good rom but latest Quarx`s nightly is much fluid.
Developer of this rom (Defy +++ from Androidhilfe) will released next version based on latest Quarx in couple few days.

the problem with ms2g is that after a while, it start to be sooo sloooww....
I was using ms2g for a long time...really liked that rom.
I think you all just need to admit what morotola realized long time ago... the defy cannot support further then GingerBread..
Try paranoid android its fast and almost stable.
Because of the controversy and arguments they inevitably generate, "best ROM" threads are prohibited on XDA. Thread closed.

At the moment with Hawckish rom I can say is the best Android rom that I have ever seen in any phone, and its very customizable!
It's JB 4.2.2, CM10.1 RC0, PA 3.15, kernel 3.0.64-CM.
Battery life is actually very good.
I tested all the one bellow and would recommend them. They are all stable.
Android RevolutionHD(My daily driver)
WanamLite
AllianceRom
PhoenixRom

This. The only way to get a truly stable experience is to run a stock based rom. All the aosp based roms have some issues on most any phone which isn't a Nexus device. Granted most of these issues don't make the phone unusable but it's still a pain in the ass having to reset your phone because the camera bugs out.

What is the best rom for the samsun gio with Portuguese language.
Did the most stable and fast. I appreciate your opinions.

I have tried almost all Gio roms available on xda but DroidGio V3.2 is the best and most smooth and stable rom for me. I hope you will also like it as it has portugese language also.

M'Rage by MatZ69. Although I've grown rather tired of the Orange pseudo-MIUI look, it's the fastest ROM with the best battery life you can find on this site for Gio. Battery on display is mostly between 5 - 6h. No less than that.
