There are many, many third party camera apps available in the play store, have you tried using one of them?

In my opinion the stock Samsung music player with dolby and original headset or an appropriate speaker system gives an amazing sound feeling...

Sounds rubbish to my ears. Very tinny and lacking bass and with weird phasing. Not good for music, that's for sure.

I'm third to stock Samsung music...but i do think Dolby with original headset is far from enough, it'll need better headset to feel the difference...
Sound from phone speaker? Personally, i don't really expect it much from a phone, virtual equalizer or bass boosting improvements from apps might works, but yeah i don't think it'll bring noticeable differences...

Which modifications are possible?

Hello guys, first I'm german and speak bad english
But I have a question. I want to buy a Xperia play, I currently use the W705 and it has an awesome player with clear bass etc.
I changed some things on my W705, like custom acoustics, other Display / Cam drivers...
So is it possible to mod a Xperia play in things like that? For me it's important to have a very good music player with good bass.
Or easier: Which modifications are possible?

Well if you mean audio related mods i think there's only one at the moment which is the bass enhancer

Which some people say work, others don't
IMO you should stick with the 2.3.3 firmware as the xloud was really loud without distortion and the latest firmware 2.3.4 reduces overall volume to stop the speakers from busting
Talking about music players, the stock player has louds of equaliser presets as well as a good clear sound overall, winamp pro has a built in equalizer but poweramp is the best at sound altering

[REQ] Camera mod like potatoman or Hyperx for ICS?

Is it possible someone to hack the stock camera.apk for ICS to record videos like the mod from potatoman(potatoman) or Hyperx(HyperX)?
nobody seems to be interested to do that... i hope that somebody will do something in the near future!
There's no need hack the camera app, the ICS update from Samsung improved the video recording.
From gsmarena:
The other complaint we had - that the S II recorded mono sound despite its dual microphones - has been addressed too.
After the update, the Samsung Galaxy S II records stereo sound at about 130Kbps of bitrate and 48KHz sampling rate (it used to be mono at 60Kbps/48KHz).

for me camera quality in ICS is still bad. yes they have improved audio to 122kbps Stereo but with a mod like HX MOD you go with 30Mega bitrate and 192kbp. different ah?

Best Audio Note 2

Hi all.
Need some advice? I love PlayerPro and the stock Samsung music player but am wondering what Audio Mod is best for Clear Natural Sound?? I am not to bothered about base I just want clear audio, I play most music in my car - 9 speaker surround
I use Redpill kernel but not sure whether to leave as stock mod and use different kernel or use a sound MOD ie> Sony clearsound or bravia sound or ACID etc or switch kernel?
Also is it best to use mp3 or Ogg etc?
Thanks

Use JET AUDIO for playback and sony bravia is fine. Kernel does not matters, it just boost sounds. For clarity, player is major issue.

I wouldn't recommend using any software mod if you're looking for clear and unprocessed sound, stick to the wolfson mods in custom kernels. They are more or less identical and do the same thing, basically a DAC upgrade.

[Q] Xperia S Equalizer and Walkman on non stock roms.

Hi friends,
I'm a music lover and I'm near to unlock my phone bootloader, then my question is about the best of this phone: Equalizer and Walkman APP.
Is there any rom (except stock based roms) where i can use the stock equalizer and walkman? I've tried other equalizers and don't have the same quality.
I can use Google Music too but uses a lot of batery in lastest versions, and don't fix the equalizer problem because uses the phone equalizer.
For example, if i want to use Paranoid 4.4.2, can i use the Sony equalizer and walkman app?.
Thanks!!

Thanks for reply, but don't like that equalizer because when you change a band all others are affected, then is too hard to get the same sound of Sony Equalizer (in about 3 day of changes i didn't got), and sometimes i've got random distortion of sound (too many times)...
It would be good to do a port. It's a shame that i don't know how to port apps.
Greetings!!
