Anyone else have the problem of cell service going off when the data has been on for some time?

How can I add widgets to the home screen? When I long press the home screen the only choices I get are wallpapers!
Sent from my SGH-I927 using xda premium
I think go to the app drawer and there'll be a widget tab. Just long press and drag

Ok next question! With cm10, is there a way to set a live wallpaper to the lockscreen while having a different wallpaper on the home screen!
Sent from my SGH-I927 using xda premium
erm, not sure. not that I know of. Maybe dman can add it - I'm pretty sure AoCP has an option for lockscreen wallpaper but if it's not under there now i don't think so.

Ok not a big deal, I'll wait till he gets everything working! So far it's running smoothly and life is good too, I've been off the charger for 9 hrs now and it's showing 72%
I think after he gets the Wi-Fi working it will be near perfect! The keyboard really doesn't matter to me since I don't use it! I prefer Swype

I've been watching this page closely for the last couple of weeks since I just got my i927, I see Wifi is working now ..
Has the build w/ working wifi been posted? I don't see if the link has been edited and the original post with the download link hasn't changed.
Once I have CM10 on my phone working stable, I promise $20 to donate to the cause.
Keep up the great work guys! I'm stoked to have some JB!

Answered my own question.... No Wifi in 2010-20-10 file...
In using this I also had the lock screen not respond to any touch, I was able to hold down lock and have the menu come up and it would respond but the phone needed to be rebooted.
I cant post in developer because im n00b (yay.. n00b on a forum again .. ugh)
Anyways, physical keyboard does work but the home button lights and keyboard illumination aren't working...
So, if you don't need to type at night and don't mind typing sideways, the physical keyboard input DOES work in Beta1.
Awesome new feature I noticed from ICS is you can scroll the notification area left/right and add more options. AWESOME feature!
I reckon this thread should be made sticky.

Not completely true as the "alt" button does not work which leaves you with the inability to type numbers and other required special chracters. So yes the keyboard works but with limited functionality.

I posted a comment directly to the post asking when they are going to release the official CM10 for CaptivateGlide. I know dman is working hard on it's full release as we speak, but I mean seriously. IF dman can do it, why can't the CM Devs?! Maybe if everyone from these threads posts on top of my comment, we might just get an answer as to why they haven't cared for us with a physical keyboard haha!
I don't mind waiting. I've been using the beta + the latest Lite for the past week and it's been excellent.
The only things I really miss are the camera and the keyboard/rotation not being 100% functional. Battery life is much improved over ICS!

I do as well. Anyone else?
If it does, I just reboot and turn on airplane mode, then a minute later turn it off and it comes back. When it works it's rock solid, but it seems to stop every once in awhile.
here's an interesting thing as well: Anyone have bugs with apps they installed disappearing? I've seen apps I've installed three times disappear a few times after several reboots; reinstall they're there again and work, a few days later I notice they're gone again.

They won't develop for it because no one on the team owns the phone, and it's not a high end phone. You could buy one of the members a phone, but there is no guarantee they would even want to do it. Dman has got us covered, and what he does is exactly what a member of the CM team would do anyways.
Dman is part of the cm team...

Oh, if he is then that's recent, he's always worked with the Collective, he's never been an active part of the CM team on any other devices/forums. I was just answering the guys question stating that whether dman or someone actually affiliated with the CM team develops it, it's the same difference because you don't have to be from the CM team in name to develop CM, the work is freely available for anyone to build from and on a lot of forums people build CM without being "on the team".
Below is the list of official developers and maintainers, and while dman's will certainly will be the maintainer for the Glide from the sounds of other posts around the forums, I just haven't seen his name on the official page yet. Again, it wasn't even about him being part of the team, I was just responding to Rawr0w0 when he said...

Ahh..after seeing the skyrocket thread, I see not much at all works.
I actually already had it on my hercules but it was from xboarder and I could not find the right kernel. but it was running. What is working in this? xboarders did not have data or any signal for that matter and a few other things but wifi did work? I cant wait it is only a matter of time now before someone gets it going for us I hope soon whoever does it is going to get a nice donation from me anyway.

Go to link for bugs and further details. Basically nothing works but what you see in the screenshots, it won't really rotate back to portrait mode once in landscape without setting the phone flat and unlocking it again.

Funny how there arent even CM alphas yet these guys are makin progress.
I'm be honest there won't be a fully properly working one till graphics drivers are released and proper source is released. I don't know what is rush to have ice cream sandwich. All the other devices have leaks when our device get a leak you will also start to see ics roms. The hp touchpad has extremely hacked android drivers. This is why cm is probably still not releasing alpha for the certain devices. There not reliable to work effectively and efficiently.

jomiester15 mentioned in his thread that he might have alpha2 in the next few days so we might see call network in his build soon.
The reason there is no cm9 alphas is because cyans team hasn't even started on these phones yet until source drops

Its fantastic as of now, the only thing I'm disappointed in is I wish there was a way to enable a menu button. I'd like to change the keys too but that's fine if I was able to use a menu button. Other than that rock solid rom, battery is great too.

Is it all mashed together so that you can't slide to pick an option? If so then it has to do with the inverted GApps. All you need to do is take a Phone.apk (just any normal non-inverted one) from another rom and place it in /system/app and that should fix the problem.

That makes me nervous about this rom working for me or not. Does it also show you as roaming? I had that problem with ICS where I could only use 3 or 4 different roms and the rest would show that I was roaming. Never could find out why and only a couple other people even had the problem. Luckily once Jelly Bean came along I haven't had any issues *knock on wood*

Hey fellas,
I just start to compile a CM10 rom for my own use from the source and I wish to share with you guys.
So far so good, seems everything is working fine.
Instructions..
You probably know.. but just in case..
1. Boot to recovery (MANDATORY A TOUCH RECOVERY) - I strongly recommend the sk8erwitskil or TWRP recovery (plenty of useful features)(Respectively): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1844637) or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1768742
2. Wipe data/factory reset
3. Flash the rom
4. Reboot
5. Flash the GAPPS:
- http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip (Thanks to casonswag for suggest)
6. Reboot and have fun
Attention:
1. Do not install any kind of cpu manager, like setCPU. Keep for now the stock frequencies. It can cause SODs and RRs.
2. When using Titanium Backup do not proceed restoration of data. It can be corrupted or even incompatible in some point to new releases. It can cause FCs.
Attention about to post a bug:
1. Before to post a bug, PLEASE, try to reproduce it at least twice.
2. Make sure that is not related to a bad and dirty flash, you can try to wipe cache and dalvik.
3. Be polite, after all, we are doing this for fun and for the pleasure of share, with no benefits at all.
4. You can contribute here with some debug methodology lol
Changelog (?!) (just a short description about what has changed in CM10 Source):
- Usual changes at the CM source. For more details http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#/q/status:merged,n,z (Thanks to krazeecracker)
- More about official CM changelog http://changelog.bbqdroid.org/#hercules/cm10/next (Thanks to mobbarley)
- much more to come soon.. (just let me have some time to go through the kernel source code )
ROM
2013-02-13
http://goo.im/devs/erickwill/hercules/cm-10-20130214-UNOFFICIAL-hercules.zip
MD5SUM - bc99aa26a9875e495f25a8198e93e256 cm-10-20130214-UNOFFICIAL-hercules.zip
For old releases:
http://goo.im/devs/erickwill/hercules
ATTENTION
You DON'T need to install any other kernel. Everything works fine, at least in my end
For additional GAPPS:
- http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip (Thanks to casonswag for suggest)
As usual, THANKS everybody involved somehow in CyanogenMod development!
Hope you enjoy as I am enjoying this awesome branch.
PS. As also usual, I don't wanna get in flame with anyone over here. So please, any issue PM and I will, promptly, try to resolve any dispute or simply remove the content. I am posting this for fun and for the pleasure to share something that has been cool for me.
Oh, and please, just note that I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards and so on.
Have fun!

BIG THANKS TO MOLESARECOMING FOR ALLOWING ME TO PORT THIS TO THE NS4G
ORIGINAL THREAD FOUND HERE
PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT.
This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.
PER-APP-COLOR,
Paranoidandroids newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.
HOW TO INSTALL.

TROUBLE?.
If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.
THANKS.

Well damn dude you're totally welcome haha, I was sick and tired of the lack of ROM choices this forum had to offer, and I like me some paranoidandroid, so I decided to port something to get me back in the dev game (I haven't done any development work since like last November) and in just a few short hours this happened! I do have one bug to report on my end, instead of it saying "Sprint" for the carrier labels, it says "Roaming Indicator Off" its a simple fix I should have it back to normal this weekend

I'm fine with that one bug. I just flashed it and it is the fastest 4.2.2 ROM ever. I love it so far. Thank you so much for this ROM. Bluetooth WiFi and almost everything is working I just can't test 4g because I don't live in an 4g area. Yea so everything is running really good with marmite kernel.

Is 4G enabled on this build? I didn't see an option, at least in the usual place.

Well looks like I overlooked that, yes 4G should work but I forgot to swap out the settings.apk with a stock one that has the 4G toggle. There are apps on the play store that have 4G toggles, I'd use "widgetsoid" because it puts toggles and stuff in the notification drawer

I found that. Unfortunately, it didn't work. One time I got a popup that 4G settings had stopped. Other than that, no feedback when I tap it.

I left my phone on standby the whole day at school with mobile data on but not 3G and I came out of school with 88 % from 97 and my school at most gets 1 bar
I don't know why but I cant fig out for the life of me how to fix an audio issue I'm having with this ROM. My Audio Earpiece and Speaker do not work for nothing calls, music etc. I have CWM 6.0.3.1 and have re-downloaded the ROM flashed wiped both caches but still no audio. Tried fixing permissions just for grins and nothing. Anyone else having similar issues? Other ROM's work ok so it has to be something I'm doing here. Thanks
