I was running the latest MIUI rom on my phone and decided to go back to stock. I went into download mode and flashed over the latest stock FW for the phone. Now when my phone launches, after the initial Samsung screen the screen goes black. I can hear the sounds and the phone vibrates like everything is force closing.
When I was able to get the screen to stay on, it freezes at the Samsung logo after the AT&T Splash screen. Is there any way to fix this? I have tried just about everything I think.
Go into download mode and refresh stock. If you can get into download mode if you see the start up screen you are not bricked. Good luck.

Did you do a factory reset before flashing stock?

I got it working again.
I pulled the battery for about 5 minutes and then went into Download mode and reflashed back to stock. And now it finally turns back on again!

So I had flashed CM10 in recovery, but it got stuck at the splash screen. I then tried to reboot and restore back up. Now I don't get any boot animation outside of the Samsung Logo. I then tried to Flash Stock rom via odin and nothing is happening my phone is just black screen.
Every once in awhile when I tried to turn the phone on it shows just a battery icon, but I let it sit on charge over night. But I can't tell if it is actually charging though the battery is warm.

It seems 20th time was the charm. I think my Download Mode was looping out of itself or something, but I got back to stock.

20 times? damn dude... i'd remove and reinstall the drivers just incase it was some kind of connection issue... but yea, that's pretty wierd if it would go into d/l then out of it...
Ok so basically, I rooted my phone yesterday. Installed cyanogen mod and cwm successfully. Didnt like cm....so I just flashed MIUI ontop of it (which was a stupid mistake and didnt think about it since it was early in the morning). So then I tried loading the stock rom ontop of that....no luck...then i tried loading another stock rom on top of it...no luck....and then another....no luck. Now I can only enter download mode with no way of entering recovery mode (which I was able to get into before but not after I installed like 3 stock roms)...Now when im in download mode, The custom binary download count is at 5....which im assuming is bad lol. Not only that, but i tried the "nand erase all" option on odin and still no luck....still stuck on the samsung glowing boot logo. Im ****ting my pants cause I just got this phone a week ago and cracked the screen the day before (first time every cracking a screen )...Goddamn android rooting is so much more complicated than jailbreaking the simplistic iphone (even though i fell in love with the s3 in just a week)
Soooo please Im shouting out to this community that has made so many guides (which i thank you for), but none were able to fix my problem .... Any suggestions? I can't do a factory reset either cause i cant even enter recovery mode...Im 100% sure that I used the correct ROMs and files for my att samsung i747
EDIT: I tried odining the stock ROM again (for like the 5th time) and now when I boot my phone, it gets past the 2nd screen (the samsung galaxy s3 screen) but blacks up right before the 3rd screen (the white att logo screen) and only shows a glowing green to blue LED at the top left. I am still able to enter download mode, but still not recovery mode even after odining cwm. Im up to a custom binary count of 8.

Ok let me rephrase it then. Ok yes I can odin back to stock. No i can't get past the samsung pulsating logo....and NOW i cant even get past the second screen and I freeze with a black screen and a blue LED right before when the att white logo screen is supposed to pop up. FML
HOWEVER i am now able to get into recovery mode so i atleast made some progress.

Probably have to factory reset in recover after the Odin to stock to get it to boot up. It will erase the internal SD though.

No, it won't. Factory Reset does not touch the internal sd. It merely deletes app data. But what they said, Factory Rest, Wipe Cache/Dalvik. You'll be good to go. This is causing your hang up.
Use TWRP to wipe system and data-wipe (bottom left corner, forget exact name). Those two items usually help me when nothing else is working.
You can wipe your internal sd card by using twrp and going to wipe.

I was running the new version of Hyperdrive until the mms stop sending so I decided to go to Goodness. Originally I could not get any rom to flash from the internal or external memory, so I pulled the sd card wiped everything and reinstalled my backup of carbon from trwp. After I confirmed the phone was working properly , i downloaded and placed goodness onto my internal memory (ext sd is not in right now) , and flashed no problem. Now the phone boots the Samsung logo, the goes into the Goodness boot animation, then goes black. I left it sitting for 30 min and nothing. Did a battery pull and nothing. So finally, I tried to get back into recovery mode and i cant. I hold volume up+home+power and the phone displays the blue script that shows recovery, then the samsung logo, then boots right back into the Goodness boot animation. How can I get back into twrp? Ive searched high and low for answers but cannot seem to find the answers to my problem. Thanks
Can you get into download mode? If so, reflash your recovery and try again.
Did you wipe in between flashes?

between hyperdrive and carbon I did a full wipe. Between carbon and Goodness I didnt. i figured I would be ok since I installed nothing but the os and gapps. I had done it other times with no problems and figured this time would be the same.

Well I was able to unroot and re root my phone again. To answer the question though the boot animation would go on for 20-30 seconds and then the screen would stay black. No noise, no touch control, no indication that the power was on. When placed on the charger, the led wouldn't even display.
So is it all working now?

Make sure you redownload it, just in case it was a bad download.. you never know. I know it is time consuming but worth it.

there have been a few cases where for some reason the boot animation wouldnt start although the device was booting. simulating the " black screen ". this also has happend to me several times on a " first boot "......id try letting it sit for a few min. if it doesnt finaly boot, then just whipe whipe whipe.....reflash..and possibly redownload and reflash...

Hey everyone, this isn't a lollipop brick. Its a 4.4.4 brick. I have been running PAC ROM for a few months. Got a wild hair to use 4.4.3 then upgraded to 4.4.4. Started using my iPad for a few months and didn't touch my nexus. Turn it on one day remembering I downloaded the 4.4.4. Flashed and reboot. Booted into it from the multirom menu. Started using it for a few min then screen goes black. Try to power on and it just goes to the Google screen with the unlock on it. Tried to boot into recovery and it froze. Put it down for a couple weeks. Charge it, turn it on l. Hey! It boots. Boot into PAC and get to the unlock screen. Try to put my pin in and it freezes. Turned it off. Haven't touched it in a few days. The screen has been replaced if that helps at all.
Anyone else run into this?
