If you order through Otterbox, you may have to call in, their servers have been crashing.

If you need a case soon or now you may be better off going with the Trident Cyclops or Seidio Rugged. However, I do not suggest the Seidio Rugged as I have 2 and they're both falling apart. The upgraded/seperate screen protector is necessary on the Cyclops. The Ballistic cases may be released this month as well.

For everyone who doesn't frequent Amazon...on the right side there is an area that says "More Buying Choices", this box may have Amazon.com as a seller or it may be the default seller, I'm not sure how they program their code to decide which you see as default.
1-2 months is possible. Rumors say this month, but rumors have been saying that for months!!!

That's weird. From my point of view, the link I gave does go to the 26.99 version. I'll just chalk it up to some crazy property about Amazon's site. As long as you found it. Actually..I believe Amazon moved it to a different page just that quick.

I wasn't happy with my Seidio Rugged holster, but I don't use the holster much anyhow...but I would like a good one, it would be nice to carry at work.

the only thing i didnt like about the rugged was the opening for the usb port. i did cut it and it works well.. of course it doesnt look like it came that way since i did cut it and its not smooth but it works well..
i have the rugged away but im using the active now... out of all thats out there now with a holster, i think sedio is the best ( IMO)
like i said, i would like to see the otter box before i get it. i just wish it had a clip on the top like the sedio holster has. just feels more secure

I accidentally ripped off that usb port, my wife also accidentally ripped the headset jack area off. That plastic on the Seidio Rugged is just way too thin.
I snapped the top of my holster off, the design didn't work for me...but take that with a grain of salt, cause if it's breakable, I'll break it.

I still haven t been charged yet and I think it's been 48 hours, so I'm guessing they don't charge until it ships. I went ahead and got the 30 day Prime trial so I'm getting mine overnighted for $30 shipped, not too bad!

Ordered off Amazon. For the price you can't beat it. Hopefully it comes sooner than later.

Best price, no tax for me and they are in NY I believe and I'm in NJ so shipping should be fast when released, this case kicks the crap outta anything out there and I def would pay a premium to keep my xoom safe. Of what should the buyer beware? Otterbox has a strong history of good cases. I've bought 3 phones from Mobile City Online over the years and never had a problem.

How can they already be offering it at such a low price?

I still have yet to figure out why people need an otterbox. Unless your going to be in an episode of deadliest catch. Sigh 70 bucks wasted.

I pre-ordered the Otterbox case from CellularAccessory.com for $58 and used the code take5 to get free standard US Mail shipping (a week or two ago). It was the best deal I could find for the Xoom Otterbox. I wish it had the polycarbonate screen cover since I'll be using it in sandy conditions but it still looks like the best protection out right now.
The status of my order says it will ship tomorrow. Will see.

eBay case shopping spree!

So I decided to get a case for my Galaxy Nexus... About 4 of them! I figured at $2 - $4 each, one of them has to be nice
I'm expecting them to arrive in about two-three weeks.
Are you guys interested in a review of each of them? I know some of you will only use expensive brand name cases, but I can't justify $40 for a piece of plastic, so the review might help those who just want to be frugal.

I'm happy with it, although the seller seems to have jacked up the price to $19. Not worth that much, but it's worth $4 for sure and it only took a week and a half to get it from HK.

Just wanted to share that I noticed that Amazon is now carrying the Otterbox Commuter and Defender cases directly from their own warehouse.
I bought a Commuter from Amazon not even a month ago for about $20 and the price of the same case dropped by $5.

I've used Otterbix for years. Literally on e eey device I have had. Got a black commuter from sprint 2 days ago. Just returned. Man what a pain In the add to get it on and off. I mean, I e never had that much trouble with a commuter. So bummed out. But I did notice the price drop last night. I may try the defender this time. I wouldn't touch these even with your money.
These are 99% likely to be counterfeit cases since they are sold outside of Amazon direct at a price that is WAY outside the norm for Otterbox cases on sale.
Same for all those counterfeit microSD card deals we keep seeing popping up.
If it's too-good-to-be-true, then..... well you know.

I'm with you. I'm surprised there aren't the usual $5 TPU cases on eBay even that I always find when a new device comes out. I always tend to use something like that for the 1st few weeks/months until better options come out. But I cannot find anything worth buying that available locally or online and actually in stock and shipping now.

I ordered the official Asus travel case and its on a UPS truck to me right now. I am only planning on using it until better cases are available, since it apparently is not very good.

My girlfriend is going to France for three weeks on the 4th and is going to take the Nexus with here, there's no way I'm letting her take it without a case and screen protector. So, I ordered the SUPCASE Folio case yesterday, I didn't notice that it says "Usually ships within 4 to 5 days." Expected ship date isn't until Monday, the day after she leaves and I can't easily cancel the order, so I sent them an email saying that unless they can ship it ASAP, I want the order canceled. I already have a Poetic case ($3.95, free shipping) ordered that's not shipping until the 9th, I wouldn't have ordered a second case unless I needed it sooner, so I put in an order for the i-Blason case. None of the cases are Prime eligible, so hopefully I can get that shipped before Saturday... and hopefully I don't end up with three cases.

I think it's going to be hard to find any good cases shipping now. I'm guessing these third party manufacturers did not get any early access to the device, so they're designing and mass manufacturing the cases as we speak. If anything I'd be weary of buying any case that actually is shipping now as it's probably a rush job and won't fit the device perfect. Just my 2 cents.

I first got me a 7" tablet sleeve from Dollartree but went into 5Below yesterdya and I got a generic 7" folio that fits the new nexus pretty good for $5.
I also saw some cheap tablet sleeves/cases at BigLots.
It will do the trick until my Moko and TPU hardshell case get here.
