Does anyone know a way to record calls on jellybean? This is a really huge issue for me, "Total Recall" works on the stock touchwiz rom (rooted) but everyone says it doesn't work on jellybean.
has anyone found any app that records the calls?
Search xda for skvalex call recorder. You can download a trial version in his thread. I think the full app is $10 though.

There's lots of good reasons to have call recording. It can be handy for things like calls to customer service/support, and it can be absolutely life-saving when it comes to some legal matters, bad relationships, etc.
Its better have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

Thats tru. Guess I never saw it that way.

i use it for whenever someone tells me to write something down, or gives me some notes, or some numbers to keep, and i say "sure i have a pen, go ahead"... and just sit there listening to them speak instead of writing anything down.
and yes, has a lot of good uses for when someone says something on the phone, and then they lie, or do something else, or say "lol i never said that". and i can simply show them the convo if it ever came down to it.
hmm.. is there a specific way we have to set up the app? it's not wanting to work on my phone. every recording is 0 seconds long.

OK, well it really isnt possible to remotly hack a phone unless you installed an app that let somebody do this. So, two questions, what have you installed recently, and how do you know somebody hacked your phone?
Well really nothing and I also get 10 to 15 blocked calls a day I have Mr number blocker installed to block these but somehow some get through to my voicemail. The messages were saved and the whole thread was forwarded. Also pictures get forwarded and phone makes calls by itself

Sounds weird.
Full wipe and/or factory reset just to be safe. Probably not a good idea to use any backups from the infected rom.
LBE Security is an app for free on the market.
It'll prompt you if an untrusted app tries to do anything malicious like that.

How does he know that they were forwarded.... probably someone was messing with your phone
With adb you can use the following to find out what all is running, whatever is doing it should show up on there
Code:
adb shell ps

check your apps through TB or manage apps and see what is all on your phone, maybe your ex or someoene installed something on your phone to forward texts.. i had a ex try and install a app on my phone (cant remeber its name), this app was suppose to be hidden and only accessable by hiting some numbers on the dial pad and hitting send.. But i noticed right away somethign was weird in my phone (it was acting real slow) and i looked in applications and manage apps and found it and uninstalled it..
Looked at my apps, saw nothing weird

If you're on of those people who believe your phone can get hacked I'd suggest lookout security or avg free antivirus to ease your mind.
Yea, I find it hard to believe someone hacked your phone JUST to send pictures to your ex girlfriend. Are you sure you didnt get drunk and send them yourself? Or let your friend borrow the phone?
I don't drink and its happening well thanks anyway I guess I wont find a solution here

I just updated, signed in and tried to do a video chat both ways....tried calling someone and had someone call me and NOTHING....still same old thing for us! The UI looks a little bit better then their old one but I'm sure this will be a matter of time before someone disables the device check on this and cracks this sucker wide open for everyone!!
That's what I am hoping for...if we can fool the app into thinking we have a supported phone it could work...

Know this an old thread but had issues still with the latest and now, Just updated throught the market, am running "Freshhh" from "Flipzmode" 4.0 build 4.54.651.1 and everything works on video chat, both cams and group.
I just have a couple of dumb questions.
Do the motions being active consume battery?
Do I have to engage anything before tapping my screen to send a file to another phone? (or is having that check box enabled1 enough?) also is the Galaxys3 the only phone compatible with that feature?
The commercial where the guy just swoops a document from his phone to the tv... What's the process for that and I imagine it only works with certain tvs after an annoying registration /setup process.
Are they working on improving svoice or is that not a huge priority
Is there a voice dialer like on froyo that doesn't require the internet to do phone functions? I don't like relying on 3g.
I'm sure I'll think of more, but I apologize if this is in the wrong thread. Please just let me know and I'll copy paste to the right one.

You have to turn on NFC and s beam then go to gallery or something to the file you want then put the phone back to back and then then phone will say touch screen to beam

Hello,
Got a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx BR xt910, rooted.
Firmware: GAS_LA_SPYDERICSMAXRETBRLA_P002 version 4.0.4.
I need to record calls simply and with good quality. Already tested dozens of applications, but the most we got was record on handsfree the microphone, which is not acceptable for quality and because it is not always feasible chat by handsfree.
Does anyone have a solution? Do you know if this is hardware limitation? Or only limitation is the software version of Motorola?
I appreciate the attention and help.
Best Regards,
Marcio.
I believe you need to post here for your XT910 things ?
Because this is a XT905 and XT907 area which are different phones.
You share the same insides with a NON Maxx

any idea of an app that would do this? I used to use RECOROID on my droid incredible back in the day, dunno if thats still around or compatible with my M
RECOROID is still around but i think it didn't pass the regulations.
Remember it is illegal to record ppl with out knowing. Or something like that.
That might be the reason it is not found easily in the app store if at all.
So your best bet is look into a modified RECOROID apk version that has that option back unlock for ICS or JB.
Or other custom apk that don't come through the app store ?
Germanese,
In many states like Arizona, it is legal, and admissible in many courts to record a phone conversation. If you are party to the conversation, totally legal.

That's true, but remember i said something like that.
It may be and not here and there. Hence probably the reason of it not being in the app store.
Because it is legal in some states and not in others. So they removed it in total.
But I am pretty sure modding the APK of the old program mentioned would give him the desired effect.
Wouldn't it be the responsibility of the user and not the app dev of whether or not the use of the device was used legally? To me that seems like holding Samuel Adams responsible for a drunk driver... But I'm no expert on the law.

omg.....finally an app that actually worked to record both sides for once (Sanity). After trying about 10 other apps, one actually works without any other tweaks.
Just remember though, free version only records 2-3min. Donate version removes the limits and turns on other options. Even though the app hasn't been updated in almost 2 years, so far its been worth it just to find a recording app that works and includes a good amount of other options.

So, I have tried 6 different apps from the marketplace, and I can't seem to find an app that records anything more than static. I need this for an ongoing custody battle.
Its legal in my state. So, I thought I would throw that out there before I started getting flamed.
Anyone have any suggestions? I did a searched and found a thread from last year, but unfortunately it didn't work with my build.
