Just getting back to CM10 and can't find a current blue button nav mod file around. Is anyone maintaining original thread or has a file that works with latest 102012 CM10?
Thanks in advance,
Ian B
Not sure about the blue nav bar, but as for the nav bar in general
You could download the codefireX nightlies which is like a slimmed down aokp w/ same upkeep, bugs, nightly features as normal cm10. It has a nav bar toggle

Thanks but what I am looking for is a zip file that basically disabled the two buttons on the bottom of phone and got replaced by blue touch buttons on the bottom of the screen like in the google nexus.

i have the zips from like a month ago. i havent tried them on the latest builds. im on 10-20, ill try them now and report back.
---------- Post added at 09:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:34 AM ----------
they work. they are white, not blue like you want. i have the universal nav camera home zip, which gives you on screen keys and remaps the home button for camera launch and shutter button. the only thing you have to do is go into settings, advanced and to sensors and disable backlight for the hardware keys. i also have the universal remove zip that removes the mod. both flashable through recovery.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0l4fbl6g5t2d1bz/NAV_HomeCamera_Universal.zip <<this link is for the install zip.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/nuchh1lt4v585kc/NAV_Remove_Universal.zip <<this link is the uninstall zip.
Awesome. Will,download and flash.
You made my day.
Thanked you,

I'd really love a transparent status bar and navigation bar. It looks like this has been done here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1388554&page=12
Unfortunately this does not work on 4.03 and in addition there are differences between LTE and CDMA so the mod would need to be LTE specific in my case.
Does anybody know of such a mod that exists? I've searched high and low. Thanks!

Thanks for the statement, now you mind sharing the info....gotta screen shot, where's the mod? I assume you're running the GSM version?
me wantz this too.... !!!!
Works for me on 4.0.3 - you need to put in some work yourself if you dont want the percentage battery, tho. ROM needs to be deodexed afaik.
Frysee, Is that a flashable CWM file? and does it work with LTE/Toro Nexus? Thanks in advance... Realy looking forward for this mod.
Will this work on revolution HD 4.0.2? Also can toy flash it through cmw?
Would love to know if this works on the CDMA nexus as well, specifically running Axiom 2.4, with battery percentage and search button in nav bar enabled
Is there something with only the clear Navigation bar? I dont want to mod the status bar
does this work on gummy rom?

softkey mod is easy as long as you have the PNGs.
hmmm. maybe the notification bar and navigation bars are also just a couple of PNGs?
can anyone point me in the right direction? I think I can do this myself if I know which files to replace

Idle has then built into one mod. So get the transparency plus choice of different softkeys. You can ask him how he did it.

I tried to do the mod with apk multitool and decompiling the systemui.apk myself last night but I kept losing the nav bar and not bar, then I tried to do Idle's mod and I still kept losing them despite it being built for AOKP m2, so if you figure out if its just a png replacement let us know!
I been at this all night; couldnt get it going at all...just kept losing everything. And here I thought I just didnt know what i was doing. Let me know if anyone figures it out.
Thanks

Here you go its a zip of RazrHD keys and white glow all customizable via rom navi settings. It has the glow but jus disable via rom. Or pull out before making zip. I have only tested zip via Zip Themer app. You can do it manually if u choose.
Jus in case ur not familiar with app.
Download/open app)settings/update edify to current rom zip)theme/choose soft key zip)build/always make undo...enjoi use at own risk. but have tested with this method on all vanir roms and many others and ALWAYS works.

thanks and sorry for being a noob
OK
1) open app/ hit 3dot/settings
2)update edify
3)hit browse
4)find and choose the edify.zip and or your Rom zip
5)hit configure
6)should say success/ hit back
7)hit theme/
8)press green arrow and choose SOFTKEY. zip
If u have multiple mods u want added after the first one hit theme + again and choose 2nd zip
9)press build/ always make undo(to go back when ever you want)wait til done
10)reboot recovery and look for SOFTKEY/LOCK ICON update zip and flash...DONE / REBOOT
There will also be a undo zip for later use.
Really hope this helps. This will work for 99% of mods so long as u update edify for each ROM.

Just saw the Huawei Ascend, they have an option for minimizing the on screen buttons, next to the back button.. Very nice! Is it difficult to make for our Nexus4 ?

Not everyone uses AOKP though. I like stock and have been looking for the same exact thing. This is would be useful if it was universal
very nice feature.
i hope the next nexus have something like this..to hide/unhide the nav bar anytime you want while onscreen.. the aokp using time out..can be frustrating at time..
In AOKP you can also have a quick toggle for that previously mentioned auto-hide Navbar feature - so you can turn the feature on before playing a game or whatever (and still have quick access to the navbar buttons): Screenshot.
You can also add an option to enable/disable the navbar from the Power Menu (just straight up disable it, without the autohide): Screenshot.
Though I do agree, having a button on the navbar to quickly minimize it (like the Huawei ascend) would be pretty awesome.

Downlaod the app mentioned above GMD Gesture. You have to set it up in settings where it hides the nav bar/status bar on screen unlock, and show nav/status bar on screen off. There seems to be an issue if you dont have the nav bar "showing" while the screen is off, when you get a call your screen will not turn on. It took me awhile to get it set up correctly. Now it works, but if I have my screen on doing anything on the phone and the nav bar is hidden if I get a call I still will not see who it is unless I push the button to turn my screen off the back on. One more thing if you dont use a live wallpaper when waking your screen up your background will be all black for a sec or two then your background comes up. Live wallpapers have no problem. Other than those issues it works fine. I have another gesture setup to manually hide/unhide the nav bar also, if I did want to use it. Oh yea, the nav bar and notification hide/unhide together fyi. Hope you're not to confused after reading that lol.

No confusion, and thanks for the reply, but this seems way too broken at the moment. If you have to do this many work-arounds and have this many issues you have to deal with, then the app should be free not $5.56.
I am interested in the single button on the navbar as well. Bump this hoping there is a dev that can mod something here. deodexed/stock.
+1 for single button! Cool

Re: [ROM] [PORT] [MOAR] [MD4] / Morphology / MulitiWindow / Wants MOAR!?! / [5.10.13
I've tried other roms thinking the grass is greener. I'm a fraud. This is hands down the best rom I've flashed for my gs3. Battery, response, etc. It just works.
One question. I dig morphology. I'm caught in a conundrum. I liked the look of stock touchwiz but needed a change. I ran morphology after flashing the rom. I installed ubuntu dark. Looks great but my launcher icons and other various icons don't reflect the change. I have searched for a solution. Cleared cache and davlik prior to and after running morphology. Perhaps I'm not using the proper terminology when searching. I dunno. I imagine it's a simple fix.. Must I use a separate icon pack? Use another launcher?
