I installed aokp the other day, it worked fine the first day but I am now experiencing a loss of service. I have service intermittently after a reboot but it loses service again very soon. I am with koodo mobile.
i have to ask, but is the back cover on??

I bought a new GNex last week and immediately ran into bad connectivity issues when preferred network mode is set to LTE/CDMA. Basically no signal all (3G or 4G), even though I live in downtown Boston where there should be 4G. When I switch my preferred network mode from LTE/CDMA to CDMA, the 3G network works fine with no connectivity issues.
On the phone, Verizon told me that a software patch in May will fix the issue. A staffer at the Verizon store told me that I could already find the patch online and that it would solve the problem... I assumed he was talking about 4.0.4. I flashed 4.0.4 yesterday fully expecting it to solve my LTE connectivity problems but ..... no luck. I still get no signal using the LTE/CDMA setting. I can't even make or receive calls unless I switch back to CDMA.
Do I have a hardware issue? Are other people having the same problem? Should I trust Verizon and hope that the 4.0.5 OTA update fixes the problem? Is there anything I can do about it now?
I am in the same boat as you. Just got a replacement from Verizon but it had a horrible purple tint to the screen so its going back. Didn't even get to see if its better at 4g. I think its a hardware problem as I've read that some people were able to get a replacement phone that actually works.

My problem is similar. I can get 4G and use it sometimes but after a short time of data usage all my data is cut off until I reboot the phone. No calls, no nothing. I logged a ticket last night and will be calling back today for an exchange.
edit:
I stopped into the VZW store after calling customer care and getting everything all setup. They swapped out my gnex for a new one and so far my experience has been positive. I'm seeing improved signal everywhere and last night the phone didn't drop connectivity once or even get warm. The old phone would get hot to the touch in the upper left of the screen, the new one stayed cool throughout 30 app downloads with 2 bars 4g. Here's to hoping my problem is solved.
I'm getting a similar issue with connectivity dropping ice had this phone for three weeks and the signal drops terribly. At my house because I live on a mountain by a Penn state campus I know there isn't much in the way of signal because of the distance from the towers without interference. But even with being in other areas with 4g I still run into the signal dropping...I thought it was just me so it's good too know I'm not the only one having issues

Hello all, thank you for your time.
I have an unlocked galaxy nexus on t mobile and I've had this crazy signal issue. Basically, I barely have any signal, and it's in really random spots. One time my signal was fixed, and I had the exact signal I should in the location. This persisted for a few days but eventually dropped out and went bad again. I've rooted my phone and tried flashing different radios but it didn't help. One random day as I was walking back to my dorm, my signal was fixed and it was perfect.. this lasted for about a month until a few days ago. I was at the softball park in my hometown (small town in Kentucky) where I get edge I saw it go from full bars to no bars.. tried rebooting and it didn't help. Now the signal is bad again. I have no clue what is goin on and would really appreciate any help. Thanks.
Could be an issue with the towers since it comes and goes.
It's just strange because it's so random. I have perfect signal when I switch my sim to my my touch 4g.
Every time I get in the elevator at work, go upstairs.. I lose cell signal. Get in my office, signal comes back, but the bars are grey.. there's no data connection.
I have to flip to airplane mode, which takes longer than normal (30s-1m) and then put it back off.
4.0.4, yakju.. XXLA2.
Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?
From what I have heard in my time owning this phone, that is a hardware issue and the best thing to do would be to get a replacement as soon as possible.
I get the issue where I live as well data roaming doesn't switch immediately. Verizon told me I need to go get it replaced. I never did it because the data comes back in couple of mins. What's odd for me it doesn't roam when on extended network. From what I'm told it needs to be a triangle to be roaming.

Ive been using this phone for a while now - with no issues. Recently had to get a replacement due to a lost phone and installed blazer 4.1. The first couple weeks i had no problems that caught my attention, but in the last week or two, it has been roaming almost all the time. The battery seems to go down much quicker too.
any suggestions on what I should check?
my personal reccomendation would be to call cc and see if their currently in your city working on your towers (3g capacity upgrades and lte installation) bc if thats the case you will suffer from poor service for the next few months until their finished
also what modem are you currently running>
thanks - i'll definitely do that. as for modem, i'm thinking that is the EL.29 number? (sorry i cant quite recall how to tell).. but it was a stock phone where i flashed to blazer rom without any other changes, so it should be the same modem that came with the install.
I have a gnex for sprint. I have awful wifi and cell signal reception. I am sitting next to my friend with a fisher price(iphone) and he has great wifi signal. I also have issues with the phone becoming unresponsive and the screen is just black at times. I just got it and it is stock. I am about to root it etc but if its defective, i have sprint TEP and they will replace it. So if anyone can provide some insight.
Thanks
