Initial setup. - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Sorry if this had been covered already. Is there an easy way to rerun the initial setup of the stock unbranded phone other than factory reset?
Thanks.

What do u mean exactly by initial setup? Google setup or samsung account or dropbox or location?? Cause they all can be skipped to run later with no problem at all or a need for another reset.

I kind of skipped through everything on the initial set up as I had no Sim in. Just checking that I don't need to reset to select an option/setting. I assume all is accessible from setup?

Yup all is accessible
For samsung account setup: go ti Samsung Apps.
For all of Google sign in, start Play Store.
For dropbox, start dropbox lol
And your owner name is some where in Settings>security i think. .forgot that sorry

Thanks for the advice, now to wait for work to finish!!

Got myself up and running now. Love the way your Google account makes swapping Android phones so easy. My first Android to Android update.

Is this prerelease versions?
There is no automatic stream refresh in Google+, Messenger became Huddle again. UI is little better.
Didn't try Music yet.

Deleted contact information

My Gf's desire hd has started deleting her contact details.
Anyone know how to fix this
Sent from my HTC Desire HD A9191 using XDA App
Automatically?
Edit: Stuff like that happens when there has been too many contact imports so the storage gets filled. You can manually clear contacts storage completely by going to settings-manage apps, select contacts storage and clear. Once done, import contacts you backed up or from sim card, google, fb and sync.

Obviously you have a google account so hopefully they are stored on there,if she reset the phone etc and added the same account again it would reload the contacts..failing that..if you haven't backed them up in any other way,HTC sync etc your naffed

I just got a new phone as my work phone.. I was wondering if I can use the same Google account for it as I do for my personal phone...

No problem. To elaborate, AFAIK you can use your google account on as many devices as you like. In the past I have had it on 4 separate mobiles and tablets at the same time with push email etc working simultaneously. No syncing issues and no need to re purchase any bought apps.

No, are you installing them to the sd card instead of main memory? If not, IO shouldn't matter. Did you full wipe and update?
AW: Desire HD freeze for few sec after installing an app

I'm using Jellytime.

Theres such options in sense rom , dont know about CM.....

You might have to use a third party contacts app to do that. Default People app doesn't have that functionality.
