Request ics animation - Galaxy S III Themes and Apps

I don't know why jelly bean on s3, it is just like unfinished software. The animation on jelly bean is lag and stutter. I realized that my s3 on ics, my phone is super speedy. I just figure, what if ics animation on jelly bean? If anyone can help me, I'd very appreciate on it. I almost lost fate on my phone because jelly bean suppose be better than ics but I'm wrong. Because Samsung did a very bad job on optimizing.

As far as I know, all the Jelly Bean ROMs have bugs. If there was an official leak, it would not be so buggy. Just stay on ICS.

Hi, The problem is Samsung haven't optimistic on jelly bean yet. You can see lag on animation. Almost all factors are perfect. I know how you feel, but in this development forum, that why we trying to make the s3 perfect

Make a nandroid back up for sure at first.
Install rgui jb rom. it gives option to change animation framework!!
install "rom toolbox" application from play store.
goto rom toolbox-themes-psynist(check right spelling)
and install themes..
you will be amazed to see the new transition animations.
but...make sure to hve back up , just in case.

AOKP ROM

I seen AOKP is available for us AT&T Galaxy S3 users. I came close to downloading it but want to wait until it has more time to work out the bugs. My question is to those who do have or used it- Do you like AOKP as a daily driver for our GS3? Or do you think the few bugs are not that bad?
AOKP was and is my favorite ROM on the Galaxy Nexus. So I want it bad but stability and working features are important. And when I had AOKP on my GN is worked amazing.
I am on the 7-16-2012 it is a ICS ROM and I have bin using it since it can out it is a great every day ROM. I am having no problems and the battery life is great. The JB AOKP is in my opinion not ready for every day use the Bluetooth is not working with audio and they have not got all the options in ROM manager.

Waiting is the best
My suggestion is to go to particular ROM thread and read. And frustration will follow. I don't think any of custom ROMs yet ready to replace stock ROM. The only incentive at this point is to have JellyBean before Samsung releases their JB update - for bragging rights mostly. However not all pieces of JB source are released by Google and it will take time to develop something once source released.
I see alot of people mentioning that about the Jelly Bean Roms. I am seeing a lot mention the Ice Cream Sandwich roms being really good though.
Thanks everyone for the heads up. I even seen someone who is enjoying the Jelly Bean Rom. Being that I really want stability and all my features working I am going to try some of the Ice Cream Sandwich Roms. Let those hold me over until the Jelly Bean Roms get polished.
On a side note. I already enjoy my LTE GS3 using it stock with Nova launcher. I do have it rooted.

Personally I've been happy with Slim Bean 2.5. Runs quick and gave me a nice improvement in battery consumption and snappiness compared to stock ROM.
if you do not want to use an aosp based rom you can flash one of the tw jb roms...i know mine works on rogers because one of my teammates has rogers and uses it

What is the most stable and the best jelly bean custom rom available?

Im currently using paranoid android 2.16, It's actually pretty cool rom, you can change apps dpi, youtube app would look like a 3D scrollable wall, but im getting bored with it, i wanna change it with another jelly bean rom, but im literally confused because there are astronomical numbers of rom out there
what is the best and the most stable jelly bean rom thus far ?
thanks in advance
In before the lock. Flash em all, and you tell us.
good day.
All depends on you.
-Brought to you by Marino's Galaxy Nexus-
I personally love CM 10. I had great luck with it on my OG Droid and haven't strayed from it too far and probably wont.
Congrats, millionth time this question is asked...

MythOS ROM. It's always the latest, fastest, most stable, gives the best battery life, and has the most features, including some that haven't even been imagined yet.

I try xenonhd rom since 2 month and i'm very satisfy. is stable and butter and not bad with battery. fully customize, and dev works hard to upgrade it. now is upgrade to jb 4.1.2
also codename android (CM) like jellysnap i think is good. but i didnt try it.
You really think youll get a single answer to that question? Anyway that someone has somehow tried every rom despite how often they change will probably have a different opinion from the next guy.
Personally I use JBSourcery after starting on cm10, has so many more features it makes cm10 look like stock.
We can tell our favorites, but the best ROM is what's best for YOU. Try all of them and stick with what you enjoyed
That said, I find cm to be most stable if you ask me.

[Q] Worthwhile to update to ICS, or not, or wait for JB?

Thinking about buying GSII, but seem to read negative comment after negative comment about how the phone operates on ICS. Many people say do not upgrade to ICS; thier phone ran a lot better (faster, no lag, better battery life, etc.) before the upgrade.
Just wondering if we now have a consensus on whether or not its worthwhile to update to ICS. (If not, I'll probably get NG instead, where ICS works well.)
Wait for JB
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
I haven't had any problems with ICS at all since they rolled out the 4.0.4 update.
4.0.3 had some issues but 4.0.4 seems to have fixed most of them.
Sent from my wickedly awesome Galaxy S2 using my fingers. Duh!!!
I mostly completely skipped the ICS update. I flashed the day it was released from T-Mobile, and then flashed custom rom after custom rom and I wasn't pleased at all.
I flashed back to the Juggernaut 5.0 (GB) and stayed on that until I flashed a CM10 nightly (JB). I haven't really had any major issues with CM10 and it is everything I need and want, all running butter smooth.
TL;DR I'd say flash a JB now since they are getting more and more stable daily.

This.
The transition from GB to ICS in terms of speed, battery, and features wasn't that much... ICS -> JB on the other hand? Night and day difference, in terms of speed/responsiveness anyway. I can only imagine what it will be like going from GB straight to JB.
As for upgrading right now, why not? If you think there's going to be a world of difference in terms of battery life, I think you should give them both a test to see which is better for yourself. Way too many variables come into play to take anyone's word for which is better (apps, settings, usage, reception, etc.).
Is this a real question? Jelly all the way. Been using it since the RR days cm10 and aokp is what you want.
Probably not worth it to get Galaxy SII. Its over a year old. I think its like 2 now isn't it? If you get this phone you won't be satisfied. The galaxy s3 would be much better choice. Its only 150.00 with 2 year contract. (Value plan) and actually, I would wait, there are some new phones coming out pretty soon, including LG nexus(pure android). So if you have enough money and don't have any urgency. Wait, till after Google announcement.
Software, jelly bean is definently better, you can do custom ROM, mine is AOKP Jelly Bean Build 5. Pretty solid. Or you can get a device with jelly bean already on it. Or wait for key lime pie...

But, sound & battery life is bad.
<sorry for my bad English>
JB roms are very good, very nice and wonderful, camera has some new improvements, is very easy to use, but the bad thing is the battery(is consumed very quickly):crying:.....

You should use Titanium Backup if you are rooted.
jb/ICS
i suggest google would be a greater help pal. JB has project butter built in. this means without using the performance kernel you can have a fast and smooth rom WITH batterylife.

From what I noticed JB is faster than ICS but my problem with it is that it doesn't have flash player support
