Has anyone had any success with getting a flip clock on the Desire instead of the market ones ? I noticed my clock does not flip just changes.. and i want my clock to flip like everyone elses
Gingerbread with Sense 1.9.
And how do i get that ?
use a 2.3 ROM with sense for CDMA.. or read around whether the 2.3.3 update works for CDMA desires (I'm not sure it does thought)
I just recently flashed Tabasco's Silky ROM but i had no service and an com.android.phone error loop , so i guess its back to the drawing board
You may have to change or reflash your Rom. What Rom are you using now?

There is an alignment zip somewhere in the first post in the thread.
Edit: Here is the zip. http://www.kimithemes.net/Extra/Alignment_Cool_2.zip. just flash this after full wipe before you install the Rom.

You can use 4EXT recovery to create an EXT4 partition. (although I don't know if it will wipe the sdcard contents). Or you can backup your sdcard content somewhere and use gparted. (Instructions found at Step 5 here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1016084)

The creation of an ext partition is compatible with all phones, GSM or cdma. While the rest of the tut may only be for GSM only but step 5 is compatible for both GSM and cdma phones.

Any ideas how to do this thing ? and im saying this again im too noob but if you write it step by step im sure we will get this done succsesfully
And if there existed any other topic like this one im sorry for the double post or if it is in the wrong section.

I don't think there is a kernel for dual boot on HOX
I know of siyah kernel for SGS3 forums only.

im so desperate to try that cyanogenmod10 on my hox
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I don't think there is a way to have a dual boot but when you root your phone you can make a back up of your current ROM (the stock one) before you flash your Cyanogenmod. There are lots of threads here that'll help with this.
So there was a way to save my stock rom but does it change something like not reciving updates from htc or any other thing i mean the side effects for saving the rom or it will just continue as it was ?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
In order to root you will have to unlock your bootloader and flash a custom recovery. These stop your phone from getting automatic updates.

Thanks to all replyes im giving up ill stick with the stock rom ..

Hello there! I was wondering if it is possible to port sense ui from htc to xperia s.
I've read many threads about porting and also porting sense. Found this guide on xda:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1707177
But i had some issues. I tried CM9.1 as Base and one v rom as port rom (extracted ruu and copyed over some folders)
-> didn't boot... i had no problems while flashing... but then there just came a stock android bootscreen logo but nothing happend.
I wasn't sure about which device would fit the best for porting and how to get started the best.
Would be nice to get some help!
Thanks!
You want only the UI or the whole Sense?
Full sense!
I know its hard to do it but i really like sense!
And i think its worth it

Indeed it is really hard. You'd have to get a dev that would want to have such a big job...
Which devs do we have for xperia s?
And who would do this?^^
Do you have xperience with porting Roms?

There aren't many, mostly none wants to do it and I don't have experience. I can't badly change a png myself without my phone almost exploding.

Thats Bad/ sad.
I know sense is very complex
I would try to do it myself for the beginning but i dont have much experience.. all i need would be some information on how to get started and which device would make 'sense' to port sense from.
But i also know i can't do it alone. Sadly I dont have the knowledge.

I think the Sensation HD would be a good choice. I don't know if it has the latest Sense, but it is the closest HTC device to ours (basically, it is the same thing with different design and UI)
Alright..
For porting, do i have to use a stock Rom or can i also try to port a custom Rom of the HTC sensation or would that make it harder?
And if i use a stock Rom, do i have to extract the Rom from a ruu or are there other ways to get stock Rom?

I think any custom Sense should do.
Sorry, don't know anymore
Would be amazing to make this possible !
Okay but thanks

you could just google for "htc sensation hd stock rom", there are so many sources serving the stock roms.
Of this is really that simple everyone would do it,but unfortunatly it's not :/
I know that there are many sources but i've never seen a stock rom as zip file .
You always have to download ruu and then extract firmware and kernel files..
But at least it is not the Problem to get a stock Rom

I think i can help you here
If you were stuck at bootscreen, then replace the android_servers.so in system/lib of the ported rom with the android_servers.so file of original rom(i.e. rom made for xperia s)
Let me know if its working or not and if possible can you send me a link of your ported rom..

I can help with testing, as long as you send me it after December 11th.

ohhhh!! btw did u enable hwa settings for all d apps??
hwa settings has nothing to do with his sim not being recognized. remove and insert your sim again. if this doesn't help... you can post a logcat when you try to do a call .
I'm sorry I'm a noob. What's logcat?

Ok so i learned a bit about logcats and downloaded the app CatLog. i understand some of it. like E for errors and all. i get a huge list of stuff displayed which i dont understand So what shud i be posting?? And shud i post the logcats when running on the PA or shud i post from my current rom itself??
and thanks for taking interest and helping me :fingers-crossed:
Your gonna have to setup adb on your computer. Once you have done that, open up your command prompt and type
Adb logcat > c:/logcat.txt
But dont hit enter yet. Reboot your phone, hit enter to start the command and then let logcat run until android is completely loaded. After you get the sim problem, hit ctrl+c to stop logcat. The log cat will have been saved in c:/, so attach it to your next post here for us to look at.
If your running Linux the commands are the same but it will be saved in a different directory, I.e. your /home dir or wherever you specify.
Hope that helps. I know alogcat is handy since its an app and all, but adb is a great tool to know how to use.
Post log cats from the ROMs that are giving you the sim card problems. If you aren't having problems with your sim on your current ROM, then don't mess with your phone anymore or install paranoid android and grab us some logs from that.

I was wondering that if I put an American based Rom on my phone (reason is because that's the only working Rom I have right now), and if I re-locked my bootloader so my phone doesn't go into custom recovery, if I did that with the American Rom on there, would it reset my phone back to UK stock or just reset the American Rom back to default? Thanks

Which american based ROM are you talking about ?. I think you need to wait for answers and read a lot of threads before attempting anything. Are you doing this to a one x international ?
