Hi,
Actually i have installed the Omega v28 (XXDLIH) and working well but the mods of the gallery of note II don´t work for me.
I tried many versions, wipes, clear data and always the thumbnails are grey and clicking not open the pics.
I dont want the camera of note 2, only the gallery why i like the camera of the S3.
Someone can give me the link of the gallery or tell me what i can try please?
Thanks for read

Well if you'd read the dedicated thread for the Note 2 camera and gallery, you'd know that you can download the file from that thread and delete the camera file inside the zip before flashing, which will give you just the Note 2 gallery.

Note 2 Gallery and Camera app.zip
Take "SecGallery2.apk" from "Note 2 Gallery and Camera app.zip\system\app".
Push SecGallery2.apk to system/app and delete the SecGallery2.odex (back up your old SecGallery2.apk plus .odex)
Then from app control:
1. Clear Gallery data
2. Clear Media Storage data
Restart your phone.
Wipe chace and wipe-dalvik
Finish.

Just to add to this - you might also need to amend the permissions of the pushed files. Group and Other both need Read permissions, User needs Read and Write.

It works this way without wiping the data of the app. I wipe the cache and dalvik cache.
help pls....
I tried the steps as stated but pictures still can't show up, only video shows.
i did as follow:
1. Unzip the downloaded zip file, copy the SecGallery2.apk out.
2. Using RootExplorer to Remove original SecGallery2.apk from \system\app (I couldn't find the .odex file for gallery as ROM is de-odexed)
3. copy the Note2 SecGallery2.apk to \system\app
4. set permission rw-r--r--
5. reboot to recovery, clear cache/dalvik
6. reboot and clear application data and cache
Do i missing any thing to make it work?

I think you guys don't clear the "media storage data".
Its the most important step.
Without it it's only show black/grey squares.

Happy to see that galery finally works for you

The Venedig.apk File is listet there, as "not installed".
When i press the Copy icon and then the Clipboard icon (i work with Super Manager) it seems to Copy as a Progress Bar appears for a millisecond but i cannot paste it into the /data/app.
Now my Market doesnt work, the icon looks like with a "Glass-effect" with a short index "SD" on it. It is not installed yet.
What can i do ?
Be sure this directorys are mountet R/W: system/app & data/app
If this wont work, try it with RootExplorer.
Ty for this
Thanks, Man
Like the black market, looks cool and also saves me a miniscule amount of battery too !
its a win win situation
although, when i can be bothered i think ill change the icon back to original green
Great work tho

Can anyone upload stock .apk file of camera from (CyanogenMod 7.1-cooper-KANG-RC1 Android 2.3.7 - by Grif ), because I delete this app, and I don't have a copy of this.
If you downloaded the flashzip, just look for it inside and extract it.

Any idea ??
Move the apk file into /system/app set permissions to rw-r-r and reboot. Now it should work again.

Problem 1:
Some users find that the Swype is force closing, and the absence of gallery and music in App drawer.
If you face this problem, here is what you can do:
1. Using root explorer, delete Swype.apk from System/app (or) uninstall swype using link2sd.
2. Try looking for play music and gallery ics apk in system /app. If present MOVE them to SD card using root explorer. Tap rw at the top to move.
3. Reboot.
4. Install the following attached apk's in the post: SwypeICS.apk, and GalleryICS.apk, Google play music. apk or from the apks which you just moved to your SD card. For better performance of play music, again move the apk to System /app...and set permissions to rwrr. (Tick the first two boxes in the first row and the 1st box in the other two rows) and reboot.
5.Enjoy.
Problem 2:
ICS Gallery is not working on my phone.
Solution:Have you done it properly? Try again. I've fixed the link. Still if it doesn't work, I'm afraid you will have to install the old Gingerbread Gallery. Copy and paste gallery3D.apk from attachments into System/app using root explorer, set permissions to rwrr and reboot.
Problem 3:
Status Bar does not appear.
Solution: Re Install the ROM from beginning. It happened because the flashing was not done properly.

Hello. I'm currently running a cm10 kang ROM but every gaaps package I've flashed has the old ICS calendar widget with the washed out colors. I was wondering if anyone knew of a gaaps package that had the vibrant JB widget or just a .apk I can install.
EDIT Ok, I got it working. I took the .apk from a stock Jellybean ROM and copied into system.
So,
1. download the .apk here. https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B4b...DZEUmgydHRPUTQ
2. Use root explorer or something that's able to access /system and navigate to system/app and go to CalendarGoogle.apk and move it to your desktop or your SD card. (personally I deleted it since if something went wrong I could just reflash the gaaps package to fix it.)
3. Using root explorer copy the .apk I posted to /system/app and make sure you change permissions. (I personally have them all set to read, write, and execute)
3.5 If you try to click on the app no that it's copied it will not install, just wanted to let you know that this seems normal.
4. Reboot
5. Once your phone has booted back up try adding the widget and it SHOULD be the more vivid colored widget!

I am unable to use my camera, whenever I try to use it I get the gallery has stopped error. I am rooted and running XeHD rom. It was working fine, not sure what changed. I have tried reflashing gapps and that did not help either.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Short of a clean install you could try clearing cache and/or user data for the camera and gallery apps.
That did not work either.
Found this, wonder if it would fix it?
I have a Verizon (Toro) Gnex. I got the gallery has stopped issue when I first flashed the zip, but got it to work by doing the following. Thanks to SpecR for the detailed post and all here.
1) uninstalled CameraFX (not sure if this contributed, but it seemed prudent)
2) Set up ES File Explorer for /system access and modification (go to settings, Root settings and check everything)
3) Used ES File Explorer to change extensions to GalleryGoogle apk and odex to bak and obak (in /system/app)
4) Used ES File Explorer to change extension to GmsCore odex to bak (/system/app)
5) Used ES File Explorer to put all the files in the OP in their proper places and change file permissions to rw-r-r
6) Reboot in TWRP recovery
7) Wipe cache and dalvik cache
8) Reboot
I just did a factory reset and I still get the error.
What else can I try?

Same here, I can not use the camera, it keeps saying Gallery crashed. Other apps with cameras say the can connect to the camera (error -1). I did a factory reset and problem is still there.
