I've already seen this, I was hoping for a more simple explanation. I don't understand what they all do?
Same like radio. Every carrier has its own frequency like radio has. For example LOLRADIO has 88.7FM but Dance Radio has 99.3FM. Just an example.

a baseband is yes a radio frequencie so lets say you have a r800i but you flash a rom for r800x your phone will have no sirvice or even bootloop so becarefull with roms basebands

The radios are for the phone look at ur apn or get the correct radio for the software version of your phone if it may be ie ..jelly bean .ics or fb

Would we be able to port a rom from the N7100? Doing so we should have multi-windows support correct?
Well its all in the kernel and baseband... the processors are the same so there shouldnt be any worries... correct me if im wrong devs

no dont tried i tried sprin and the international i have to reinstall everthink back with odin file

Doesn't bother me at all, and yes my data is working flawlessly.. just didn't know if it was something I should be concerned about.. I've nerver flashed a radio on my phone

If it said unknown it might be becuz the radio might be baked into the ROM... .. Go to ROM thread and ask there.... If you flash a radio it should read it after flash... its no biggie...:thumbup:

why you need to change your modem first place?
best modem is that which comes bundled with your ROM, unless you have flashed other country ROM and you are having any network issue.

Thanks a lot. I've been trying to look for the modem and cant find a link for it. From what little I have found its a radio for India. Is that going to compatible with my towers here in the U.S?
