Hi everybody,
I Rooted my Phone using this tutorial:
http://www.cursed4eva.com/hd-root-the-htc-one-x-part-12-unlocking-the-bootloader-cursed4eva/
and this one:
http://www.cursed4eva.com/htc-one-x/rootingunrooting/
I tried out some roms had some fun but then I heard the new update was coming this monh so I decided to unroot my device with this one:
http://www.cursed4eva.com/hd-unroot-the-htc-one-x-back-to-stock-cursed4eva/
At first my phone worked fine, but when the day passed by my phone started doing strange things like the volume key online put it in to sound or vibrate mode not in silent mode any more and now it randomly reboots. I read somewhere that it might be the software so I tried a recovery but then I got a red triangle. The RUU I used is:
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.17.401.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed
In Fastboot I get to see this:
Relocked

I also tried to restore my phone using the nandroid backup I made but it gave the same problem.
Factory reset does the trick for a day but after that I get the same problems
has anyone got the same problems or knows a way to fix this?
Final Question is this a problem from HTC, just my phone or caused by something I did with rooting the device
* I don't want to blame anyone for what happened to me I'm just putting the links there cause they were very helpful to me and to explain what I did with my phone.
** I'm a noob in rooting and so on so please explain what I have to do in more than one sentence
*** I'm from Holland so forgive me my English
are you sure you flashed the correct ruu? theres no way to know that after you flash it :/
also the recovery-triangle problem is due to an unlocked bootloader, or missing partitions
ruu usually dont cause bugs unless you have hardware problems or you flashed the wrong ruu
This guide might help you.

Well I have been using my HTC ONE X for about a month, I encountered a problem a few days ago where I could press the power button numerous times without my display coming up. Being the kind of person I am I was in no way prepared to send off my 600 euro phone to get it a few weeks later hopefully working so I unlocked my bootloader to flash a custom ROM which I hoped would fix the problem. It must have been a bad flash or something but the next morning the phone recieved the same problem and this made me sad so I erased the data etc from custom recovery and got stuck in a boot loop. I cant clear cache via fastboot since every command I run "FAILED" I can barely ever get into the recovery but when I do, I feel theres no point, I cannot reboot bootloader, it puts my device into APX i cant find any solution and am begging for some advice.. please help me.. even just to call and text i truly am begging for something.. cannot do anything but it isnt bricked ? I tried RUU and it got to reboot bootloader which then my device goes off and i get an error a few mins later saying it didnt connect to device :crying: Surfing around the web I found you should lock bootloader so its RELOCKED and wont unlock again, just an error everytime i try :/
HELP PLEASE
Im a n00b and i dunno will this help >>

Sounds like a hardware problem, unlocking it wasn't wise.

You can get into recovery but you can't get into bootloader? Sounds strange to me. How did you enter recovery?

Did you flash the boot.img applicable to the custom rom you tried to install?
Hi! I am a first time Android user. After reading threads here in XDA for months, I have come to realize that the more I learn, the more I know that I have got more that I can't understand. My HOX has a software number of 1.15.401.1 and I have learned that this software build is a demo/pre-release build which explains why I can't receive OTA updates despite checking for it everyday. I've been in touch with HTC about this but they can't answer me with a straight answer, to the point that they're actually advising me to wait for the update on the first quarter of 2013! Anyway, I am fed up with HTC and decided to take matters on my own(with your help, of course). Anyway, to put it simply, I am asking you on how to install a stock ROM for my phone. How do I know the correct RUU for my phone that I should download(I am in the Philippines)? What are the tools I need to get/download? What are the words I need to type in cmd.exe? Etc. Anyway, some info I know about my phone are these: my phone is S-Off, I have a CID of 11111111, it is unrooted, I never touched on that 'unlock bootloader' thingy on HTDev. Also, I am providing some screenshots from my phone if it can help my my issue. I hope you can help me guys. And if you're going to teach me, feel free treat me like a 5th grader. Thanks!

What does those values mean?
Just root your phone, edit system files and unroot it back like a stock HTC One X from factory with all features etc.
There outside is a lot of guides and tutorials

Since your device is s-off, You don't need to use any command except that your device need to be in fastboot mode.
Press power + volume down to go to bootloader/hboot then press power once, you'll be fastboot mode. connect your device to pc and run the RUU.
Download the RUU here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30222514&postcount=1677
Download and run the 2.17.401.2 RUU - that is the latest for your phone (1.15.401.1 - 2.17.401.2)
NEVER use HTCDev for anything ever - you don't need to
Ok so for some reason my phone went weird after flashing my phone. I had flashed it before and wanted to try out another custom rom.
I have tried flashing the stock RUU back onto the phone but its having none of it. Kept restarting itself and would not stay on if it wasn't plugged into my charger.
So I wiped the whole phone and it has nothing on it. I am trying to charge the phone so I can try flashing a stock rom onto the phone but now it keeps giving me this error
HTML:
13 Battery Low
I have had the phone on charge for several hours now and really not sure what to do. And when I use the fastboot command to get the battery stats it's only saying 3714mV.
I'm really confused now and abit lost so any guidance on how to get around this issue would be great help.
And for a pointer, No I don't have insurance and I can't take it back to the shop cause I've already unlocked the bootloader.
Many Thanks

Hi all,
Here is my problem:
I'm trying to reinitialize my phone as to send it to HTC (I'm having a battery drain issue and my phone doesn't charge more than +5% per hour), but I'm now stuck and really don't know what to do.
What I did :
1. I flashed the original recovery over my CWM
2. Relocked the bootloader
3. Tried to flash a RUU and this is where I got stuck
My CID is VODA203 I thus launched RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_Vodafone_FR_1.26.163.2_Radio_1.1204.90.13_release_251225_signed.exe
But it says that I'm not using the right RUU
Here are the information I have right now :

I desperately tried to flash again CWM recovery to flash my backup, tried to fastboot oem unlock, launch the original recovery I now have on my phone, but everything failed.
I'd be very grateful if someone could provide me some help.
Thanks in advance
Ok problem fixed, I found back my unlock_code I flashed CWM and I'm now restoring my backup, going back to point 0.
Now I'd still like to revert my phone to it's original firmware and I don't understand why RUU didn't work, any idea ?
The ruu is for a lower hboot. And we can't downgrade because of the s-on devices we have !
So I bought a new phone last week and tonight it has come up with this message!!! I have no clue about phones or computers can someone please please help me.

Does the phone not go past this screen?
Did you update the phone before this happened? It looks like someone's tampered with the phone and tried to relock it while running a custom operating system, in return the phone will throw a Security Warning.
Head over to www.htcdev.com and sign up, unlock bootloader.

Can't be, the bootloader is still originally locked, the flag on the bootloader should say relocked already if they did that. I think it's a issue with the battery as it seems very low looking at that message a bit down below.
Never advise people to unlock a "locked" bootloader because it could break potentially good warranty !

All very true, knowing how hboot firmware works; Security Warning seems to show up when the /system partitions been altered. But this seems new.
Here Katie, try to install this on your phone: http://androidruu.com/getdownload.p...Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed.exe you will not require a bootloader unlock. You're going to have to run this using a computer, if you get "phone not detected" issues, install this: http://www.mediafire.com/?eqrqb44r3ot18g1
Good luck.

You can't mess with a system on a s-on hox without a unlocked bootloader or s-off, so it should say relocked in any way. Even if it was s-off, making an s-off hox back to locked and s-on will proper brick the device !
That ruu will not work. The device is s-on and has a hboot of 1.72 and you can t downgrade a hox that is s-on. That ruu contains a Hboot of 1.39.
@katie1
Save yourself the hassle and don't try the ruu, i already know the outcome. You have 3 choices
1: turn the phone off via the fastboot/bootloader menu, if it doesn't turn off or charge you can try the battery charge script via fastboot. Download the following file and place it in the fastboot folder on the pc and execute it with the phone in fastboot usb mode (bootloader)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/aaah8gqz8j024xz/Batt script.bat
It will continuously reboot the bootloader and charge the battery. It's worth to try......
2: claim your warranty at the seller (at least contact the seller about this issue because it can't be your fault at all)
3: unlock the bootloader via the HTC dev site (which may break your warranty) and flash a custom rom. But you need to get the device charged first, see #1
I would go for option #2 first

You already had an unlocked bootloader so unlock it and flash a custom recovery, from there you follow procedures to install a new rom.
