Help PORTing Alien ROM from SKYROCKET

Not many roms are coming out can someone atleast port them over from skyrocket id like to have the alien rom working how it should i hope i put this in the wright place to so every one will see

I will work on it a little later today.

You should do some of the newer ones. I've flashed the aosp themed one and the venom and they are quick and data seems to not lag as much when using 4g.

If you have the rotation issue, use a t989 kernel instead of a skyrocket kernel.

FYI
If you don't know what section this goes in I believe it has been mentioned somewhere, "Read Me 1st" to put them in the General Section and the Mod will move it. Read before posting.

Alright everyone I think we are beating a dead horse here. The person understands what they did.

Flash in recovery then reboot let it finish booting, then go into recovery and flash one of our kernels.

Xlite rom killed my phone

I don't know why, but the xlite rom has killed my phone.
NO POWER WHATSOEVER.
I plugged it in to the wall and a I get a red LED for about a minute, and then it goes away.
This is my FIRST DAY w/ the GS3.

Why dont you tell me? Its obviously not the rom, a rom definitely wouldnt break your phone, or everyone who flashed it would be bricked like you are. So that only leaves one other thing that it could be and thats that you messed it up somehow

I watched the installation. It went thru the custom clockwork mod looking install, gave me a success, and said it would reboot. And now nothing.
HOW AM I NOT TO THINK THAT IT'S THE ROM?

I'll clue you in on the problem....xlite is a rom for the international galaxy siii and you are in a forum dedicated to the AT&T version. One would deduce that you flashed the wrong rom on your phone. My suggestion is to read, read, read before you flash anything else if you are able to unbrick your phone.

Dude, everyone else flashed it with no problem at all. If you had a problem, its YOUR fault. This is why devs have to put a disclaimer with there roms, cuz stupid people mess up there phones and blame it on the devs work. They arent the ones who did something wrong to your phone. They provide the ROM, they cant help it if you dont know how to use it

Keep it civil, name calling is inappropriate. You made mistake, it happens. Just pm a mod and have them move this thread to q&a, hopefully you can get your answer from more civil people...good luck.

I'm not sure how you installed it, but i don't think i've ever installed a custom ROM and it automatically rebooted...
Not to mention as someone else already stated, you seem to have flashed an International ROM on a USA S3....

if you can't get your phone into download mode...No. You hardbricked your phone flashing a rom not meant for the At&t GS3.

Best Tmobile Radio

I am new to the galaxy sII... I rooted my phone as soon as i got it and it was on stock gb... Is there a newer radio that came with ics? If so, is it faster or better?

Radios work different with everyone because of location and signal strength. Its up to you to try out the modems and find what works for you.

UVLE1 works well for me, I'm in northeast USA, just try different ones and see if your signal is better or worse. Its really an elimination game.

From xda, seems if you are using ICS, then LE1 is the radio for you. But if for 2.3.x, the LC8 is the radio.
Seems those are the two better options right now.

Le1 is the ics radio. Your success with a different radio will depend on where you are located and your service provider...best way to find out is to flash and test... good luck and happy flashing

That should get you started. I found the blaze and other radios in another 2 minutes. Hint: search for modem, not radio.

All roms can have wifi tether, just google "Treve mod wifi tether" and install that APK on whatever rom you choose and BAM! Working wifi tether :cyclops:

I would highly suggest cyanogenmod, aokp, PA.3.0, team nocturnal ROMs, dazednconfused ROM, jdeloach ROM, evo 4Gs ROMs, and all the others in the development sections.

I think whenever we get a thread like this, we each take turns posting links to Rom threads until each and every Rom is posted... that way they can flash each one and find out which one they like best.

Yea I saw that but wasn't sure if the 4 was maybe the same thing as the C. If there is a dev or some one that can explain to me on how to pull the files from the phone to a Windows PC, I will post them online.

Thanks. You're a legend. We spent all night trying to see if we could dump the entire system without root, unfortunately it had to be done. Were you able to fully unroot or was KNOX killing your root access?

Knox was killing SuperSU. So you pretty much couldn't do a thing without removing Knox it looked like. I was able to get TWRP installed with Odin which let me dump the files off the phone. DocHoliday is working on a stock odin to get the phone back to stock form. Man it was a long night dam Knox killing everything.
