when im at work i use MSVC alot to make calls, its great in that way since i dont have to mess my phone up with dirty hands and stuff "hiker at hertz car rental" but when i use handsfree with the application and i receive a call i can only hear the ringtone for maximum a second, then it stops because the MSVC notification system tells me who is calling, what i can see this function cant be fully dissabled on the phone? anyone that have any tips or similar application but the option to completely dissable incoming calls notification?
Regards /Daniel
In Settings -> Voice Command, highlight phone, and press the options button. There should be an announce incoming option that you can uncheck. Is that what you're looking for?
i found a thread somewhere yesterday, but i dont have all those optiops that where written there either? anyone have a working cab for my X1?
BUMP
as i said, i cant find all the notification options in my version of MSVC, anyone have another cab file that i can try, this problem is rally annoying
This isn't a complaint, just a bug report.
System: Sprint TP2 (Rhod400)
Build: [MJG]Rhod.2.2Froyo.082610 w/8-27 sound patch (modules-2.6.27.46-01149-g74aec59.tar and update zImage)
Install Type: Clean Install
Problem: Voice Search does not initialize the mic.
To recreate:
1) Boot into Android.
2) Start Voice Search.
Voice search will fail as no sound will be recorded. However, voice search itself *does work* if you start it with the mic active.
To see voice search working:
1) Boot into Andorid.
2) Make a phone call.
3) End the call.
4) Immediately start voice search.
5) Voice search will record the sound (you will see the mic icon flash white) and run the search as expected.
Note: Voice search closes the mic when finished, so if you attempt to immediately use it a second time, it will fail.
I hadn't seen this noted anywhere and as such wanted to mention it since the sound system is now in a much better state.
I think the same thing happened to me, unless I dont know how to use the program but i'm sure i do.
Its called talking tom cat. it records your voice then replays it in high pitch kitty talk. I pressed record, spoke into the mouth piece both normally and very loud. It didn't playback anything.

This works for me fine, as long as the first thing I do when I turn my phone on, and make a phone call. After that it just work.
this very annoying everytime I work out at the gym and put the focus in my pocket this "I cant hear you" message comes up, just wondering if theres somewhere in the registry that can be used to make a toggle switch in systems ? If possible?
it's because the start button is being pressed, which triggers the voice command. goto settings -> speech
So I have a motorola roadster, whenever I hit the smart button it pulls up the samsung voice command. It is annoying because it tells me how many missed calls I have every time whether I have checked them or not. I have to completely delete them from my history to make it stop. It also doesnt always immediatwly listen when I press the button, sometimes it just loads the app and I have to press it again. I would like to switch it with the basic google voice search where just the microphone pops up. Anyone know of a way to change what the bluetooth button does?
Hey guys, here's my setup:
ROM: Darthstalker X1
Headphones: Bassbuds White
The headphones come with an MP3 controller button, that when held will trigger the voice dialer. There are no ways to disable the button, so I need a way to disable the dialer. When I plug the headphones in, the phone recognizes it as a headset, and will continuously interrupt my music and the dialer pops up with an automatic message to speak the contact's name, and its speaking voice is really, really loud. I didn't even press the buttons or anything, it just pops up randomly.
Some people said go to the system/app and delete voicedialer.apk, but I don't see it anywhere with ES File Manager. Help please, thank you in advance!
You need to enable root in the ES Explorer settings so you can access the /system folder.
And instead of deleting it, add .bak to the end of the filename.

No, I mean I don't see the apk ANYWHERE, including the /system/app. I tried Headset Blocker, but it didn't help one bit.
