Hi Folks
Need to return my Hox to stock but can,t get a stock RUU that works. I am on Orange UK and we recently had an update that upgraded the bootloader to 1.12 and the android to 2.17 . The only available RUU is for 1.29 so it's always looking to downgrade which of course it wont do.Ive tried extracting the old hboot from an origional ruu but it won't work (might be corrupted)

Hi, I am from India. I have rooted my DHD(unlocked) using AAHK. my DHD is now Ship-OFF, Eng-OFF... currently i am running ER3BUS Final (Sense3.5) rom.
I want to return to Stock due to some reason. I have downloaded RUU " RUU_ACE_SENSE30_S_HTC_WWE_3.12.405.1_Radio_12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M_release_225512_signed.exe ".
My first question is...will this RUU work in India (though its WWE edition..still i am confused).
My second question...running RUU will update - Ship-ON / Eng-ON ??
I want official HTC update after unrooting it...
Please help me guys ...............................
You need to downgrade to what you had running before you rooted. AAHK can do that too. After that, use AAHK again to flash the RUU which will bring the phone back to stock, S-ON.
Can I flash the unbranded ruu on a branded 3 UK phone, will I lose recovery and superuser?

If you have unlocked via HTCDev the this would have removed your CID in which case yes you should be able to flash the WWE RUU on a branded device.
If you have not unlocked and are still running stock then no it wont work.
Does HTCDev unlock remove CID? Unless it changed to 11111111 you still won't be able to flash an RUU AFAIK

It does indeed. It doesn't change it to 1111111 it completely removes it altogether.
I re locked the bootloader the other day and re-flashed the WWE RUU as im sending it back (screen flickering problem) and it worked with no issues.
Vodafone Australia
I am Vodafone Australia and unlocked my phone via HTCdev. I am also facing the same problem (screen flickering)and need to send it back. I have re-locked it. As you just said "I re locked the bootloader the other day and re-flashed the WWE RUU as im sending it back" can you please explain how did you re-flash the WWE RUU? steps or link?

You need to get the vodafone au ruu. General wwe releases will not work for you. Pretty sure the correct ruu is available in the dev section.
Can't link, posting from phone.

Stock RUU for 1.28 needed
Hi there
I have effectively killed my HTC one - I unlocked via htcdev and upgraded the recovery - fastboot shows the device id when running the command fastboot devices.
However I am now stuck in a boot loop where the phone only boots to hboot (following a failed boot.img flash) I have downgraded back to stock recovery and re locked but cant find the 1.28 RUU to recover the device (and I did try the RUU for 1.26 but it wouldnt install)
Once I updated te recovery i ran the fastboot boot boot.img command
This failed to progress past the 'htc quietly brilliant' flash screen.
I dont have the rom .zip saved on my internal memory on the phone - I was hoping to be able to push it to the /data/ partition however when I try this sdb returns no connected device.
Wonder if anyone can assist in either
a - returning to stock with a RUU for 1.28
or
b - advise how to flash the files I need onto the phone (it seems that the ROM isnt booting so I assume its from the point I install boot.img and beyond I need so help)
Unfortunately I cant get the phone to boot to copy files to the memory so need to work entirely in fastboot and adb (assuming adb wil recognise the handset)
Many thanks
Gurry

But relocking it puts it back so unless you were on HTC__001 you'd be back on the VODAP001 CID
Hello guys,
I was about to unlock and root my HOX, but than i've noticed that i can't find a stock german o2 1.29 ruu (1.29.207.11) out there.
Sooo i can't make it "stock" after using a custom ROM?
Thank you for your answer
That RUU hasn't leaked yet, but you should be able to use the 1.28 one as the HBOOT is the same, assuming that RUU has leaked

There is only the 1.26 GER o2 RUU available. Is there any chance to get the 1.29 RUU from anybody?
hey, I've run into the very same problem, is there any solution?
cheers
Hello All
simply i can't get my stock rom as it is 1.29.709.12, and i need the device to get back to its stock to be able to OTA to fix some weird issues like sound and lids.
I've heard about the superCID that allows me to install another RUU on my device, so is that true? and can this be done on the international unbranded devices?
CID: 621
Image Version: 1.29.709.12
hboot: 0.95
s-on
appreciate your support folks

We need to have s-off on the one x before we can write super cid. At the moment s-off has not been found. Did you make a nandroid backup of your stock?
nope, unfortunately i was a newbie when I rooted and installed the 1st custom rom, and after everything was gone I’ve been told that i should have made a nandroid backup (my bad)
ok, let me ask it in another way, my target is to have an official rom to OTA, and finding my 1.29.709.12 RUU or a higher x.xx.709.x is impossible. any help would be really appreciated.
what if I get someone else's nandroid backup? will it allow the OTA then?
Recently i have been looking into upgrading my Hboot for my One X from 0.94 to a new revision its a optus branded CID phone how does one upgrade or even what is the newest Hboot version.
I have been looking around the forums but everything i find is for upgrading to the JB Hboot which i can not do at this time.

Well the newest Hboot for ICS is 1.12.
If you backed up your stock rom just restore so you can get the OTA update to 2.17 that'll upgrade your hboot.
AFAIK there is no 2.17 RUU for Optus, I've tried searching myself.
hmm im currently on the newest Optus Ruu and its says there is no updates and my Hboot is 0.95 now >_< lol
