Cheers all looks to work OK apart from the weather. Presume it needs something from touchwhiz for that to work?
so does it work with Sony xav-601bt ?
I dont have such a fancy car head unit to be able to try that. I cant see any references to mirrorlink in any of the setting screens either.
All works via Bluetooth. Can't get weather to work but everything else is ok

i will test the app with mirrorlink and the audio car unit sony xav601bt on saturday. i will give you feedback...
the accuweather does not work. maybe its because of missing samsung rom components
The weather doesn't work on the s3 either

Installed AccuWeather yesterday rebooted and weather now working. Not sure if it was the reboot or the installation but you can see something made it work.

This app installed and looks great on my GN. But this app doesn't look like it likes the on screen home and back buttons. I just got my GN from the play store so I am a bit of a noob to the GS. Anyway I can make the on screen home keys go into landscape or just go away?

How did you manage to connect your Note 2 to the MirrorLink??? When I try to connect my Note (1) with the DriveLink app, I only get "USB Device not supported" or "Reestablish the connection to your smartphone"?
Do you have the stock ROM used?
Thanks!

I have a galaxy nexus running 4.1.1 bootloader unlocked and rooted. I have installed the TM server app files from a few posts up and the newest version of drive link app. I am still getting the "usb device not supported". Do you have to have usb tether working to be able to make this work? Anything else that I could try. I have had the sony xav601bt for a while and want to get this working. Thanks in advance.

Lol gotta give more info on what carrier your on..
Nexus 7
What carrier? Have you installed any apps? It happens on carriers data or also in WiFi?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
im using mobile i-net
i have instaled apps only from market.. 1-2 games,chrome,quadrant test,titanium backup,astro file manager,myfitnesspal,
i have tried wi-fi for the youtube videos but the same ****.. nothing happens
Try restore back to stock and see if it works, if it does, start adding apps one by one to see of you can replicate. If it does not work it could be HE related,

it's a news from yesterday, also you can't do anything apart from install the APK e enable it..the web part is still missing
Might I suggest using www.goo.gl for the link, that way you can see how many people click on it.

which service do you guys use to locate? maps?
web page is live!
www google com/android/devicemanager
(I cannot post links yet)
Just goto this site https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager also make sure you have it enabled in phone security settings, device administrators. Also their is some settings in the Google settings app.

The above links work and you can also find it by going to the Play Store in a web browser and then clicking on the gear icon on the right side and then you will see the Android Device Manager there too.
This seems useless after I change my Google password (which would the first thing to do since thief has my phone as a authenticator).

Yep. I explained it in another thread so I'll just copy and paste it here:
FYI, to install APKs directly from your Fire TV without the sideloading nonsense, grab a SQLite editor and meander your way through Settings Storage/Settings/Global to change the value of "install_non_market_apps" from 0 to 1.
Got it.. Thanks man

Is there any db to change so xbmc shows up on the home screen?

where exactly did you find the setting? Can't seem to find "Settings Storage/Settings/Global". Maybe im just overlooking it...
