[Q] Video player - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Hey guys...
Whats the best video player for our device?
Thanks
Michael :highfive:

MX Player.

I like v player
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2

I've been using MoboPlayer for about a year on a few devices now and it works great.
Dice is good too.

I switch between stock and VPlayer depending on what I'm watching. VPlayer's built in upnp/dlna support is a big must-have for me.

Hands down for MX Player

MortPlayer - the best music player for me, minimalistic look and a lot of settings to set. And it's full free .
Doubletwist is my personal favourite.

I use uberplayer and bs player

From all the players that ive used i found that PlayerPro was my choice. But the best looking one is MIUI player imo.
edit: player pro does have a videoplayer integrated but it's really bad.
I think that the best audio player is PowerAMP
Power AMP and VPlayer PRO
I've been sticking to PlayerPro for quite sometime, but I've changed to the Google Music, just becuz I felt bored of looking at PlayerPro for too long. Double Twist also looks nice, got it preinstalled with the Speed Blur rom by Jusada, but I can't seem to find any way to bluetooth any songs to other phones that I've synced from desktop double twist.
PowerAMP for Music player and QQplayer for video player. thats my favorite music and video player.
Default music player and MoboPlayer !
Mobo plays full movies, doesn't matter the resolution wich is great thing !
I don't know if other video players can do that but i'm stick to Mobo
PowerAmp and Mobo
I use UberMusic.
PlayerPro and MX player
Now I choose Poweramp and moboplayer also doubletwist recommended by Jusada
ttpod and mx video player is best .

i just watched an AVI movie today using bsplayer lite, it free from market.
The other two players i have installed is Dice and Mobo. I kind of switched based on format.
So far I only watched avi and mkv. Using qqplayer as my primary movie player.

not sure, they all seems to be better for different formats. I have not found a favorite
I know this will sound like a crazy question but, is there any way to convert a movie directly on the phone?
MX Video Player
I use MX Video Player and it plays everything. Drop and drag movies, and play. Simple as that.
It also recognizes .SRT files too!
I also use Mx player. It is awesome. You can swipe to change subtitle time.

+1 MX Player. Love it.

MX players seems to be the consensus. Trying it meow
yeah mx movie player is the best I've used so far. No need to convert and I haven't found a format it doesn't play.

diceplayer ftw if you want to watch HD content.
don't know if mx player's been updated since but it would stutter when playing HD videos, prompting me to switch to diceplayer. full hw acceleration and smooth playback of 1080p mkv's.

+1 to DICE Player. Bought it when it was able to buy but the trial version is now a full-completed ad version. Couldn't be happier.
I prefer MP4 because the phone has a hardware decoder. Which probably saves some power.

MX Video player is the VLC of android.
Has played every file type I have thrown at it.
mx player is amazing on galaxy nexus with full screen and subtitle !
dont try mobo amazing player but not full screen !!

Best video player

What do you guys use?
I'm looking to buy one, but can't really decide on which one to buy.
Dice player.
I like mx player. It was included with remics ROM, and it grew on me. It's not compatible with JB yet though.
Edit: The 1.6 update added support for JB. Seems like there are good developers working on it.
It is now

Dice player sucks they removed dts in the last update. Right bsplayer is the best one plays mkv files just fine

Another vote for MX Player.
I use BS Player. Even allows you to stream off your network through the player itself

Is MX player support HW Acceleration for our GNEX?
I tried playing a 720p MKV on it and it was very stuttering...

It does support HW Acceleration on GNex and never had problems with shuttering so far, but then again i don't watch long movies and big files. Mostly watch anime on it.

Jelly bean STOCK video player

Is there any STOCK video player on Gnex 4.1?
Or if there is no stock video player, which one is the best one. I need it only for watching video clips and stuff downloaded fr web, but no movies...
Thanks folx
I thought stock video play was part of stock galaxy apk. I use vplayer on my own devices.
What stock galaxy app? Which one?
Pretty sure he meant gallery. I find going through the native player via gallery I can't play any movies I load on my device.
I personally use mx player, love the swipe controls.

There is a built in video player although the codecs it supports isn't the best. If you need support for many codecs I would suggest either MX player, rock player or dice player.

vlc or mxplayer. i use vlc altough is in beta it works great!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Yeah the gallery "stock" player is very basic, i think it's more designed for playing the videos, you record with your phone cam, nut much more. Alternatives are as mentioned vlc or rock player.
Btw does anyone know a player with support for more than one audio track?

MX Player, not only that, it also let you choose between hardware or software decoding, which is needed for AC3.

I still prefer videolan vlc

i used mxplayer but switched to diceplayer as it lets you play in pop-out video while checking e-mail etc
BSplayer can play video in "external mode", so everywhere, while you are surfing, reading email etc... and you can resize, pause or clse the video.
MXplayer doesnt provide this feature.

MX is renowned as the best video player in Android

I found Dice WITH the use of an externel ffmpeg lib (nathan118 to be more specific) to be the best one for me (read here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1769799)

BSPlayer, by far.
Mkv at 1080p with audio DTS, flawlessly.
I bought bs player pro, but had problems with it in 4.2, dice player is what I'm using now for smb streaming

DicePlayer is my favourite. Smooth and you can activate Plugins if you need to.
I use vplayer

I use mxplayer and have no complaints. Love it.

I use BS Player because it read everything well and has a LAN Mode. But the UI is horrible.
My combo: BSplayer (soft decode) for WMV + DICE Player for everything else
