Ics status bar - HTC One X

Hi seems the villain themes not working on my status bar ( on insert coin). Can anyone direct me to another mod?
Secondly I've tried finding baads boot animation. I thought it might of been the renamed HTC in the customize folder I replaced it with the one I got and it boots them both and then boot loops.
Anyone know the exact location of the boot animation.

[Q] [HELP PLEASE] Where is my boot animation?

Hello. I have a GSM Telstra Next G Desire.
My phone is rooted with official Telstra FroYo and S-OFF.
I have been able to change the splash screen but not my boot animation. I have tried many things; Boot animation changer app, Dropping the bootanimation.zip into data/local and system/media and used Android Flasher 1.5 to try and change the boot animation. None of these things have worked and i keep seeing the telstra Next G boot animation. I am thinking that maybe the boot animation is stored in another place? but i am new to this and not sure if that is possible.
If you know anything about this, please post
Any information is appreciated
Thanks Heaps.
On some roms it is located in the resource folder. Doesn't remember where it is, but lurk in the /system folder.

Have you tried using Android Flasher? That's what I use in changing my boot animation.

Look in /system/customise/resource/

Use root tools to change your bootanimation. Drop the one you want in mem card root thalen go to root tools extra apps ( if I recall correctly) and select swap bootanimation from sd

Different roms place this file in different locations.
You could use some explorer with root capabilities and search for the term "bootanimation.zip".
Alternatively you could search for it via adb using "adb shell find / -name bootanimation.zip"
I've got it in /system/customize/resources

Still dont know.
I have used the search function on root explorer to find all the bootanimation.zip files on my phone and have replaced them with my custom one. Although the old boot animation is still playing at startup! Is it possible that it could be named something else?

[Q] Create a Custom Boot Animation?

I've got a really neat idea for a custom boot screen and I know how to draw it out on the computer but can someone point me in the right direction as to howto make it into a working boot screen? I'm capable of editing pictures and making the actual image I just don't know how to get it on my phone.
Bootanimation or splash, confused

The second one that comes up when you boot your phone... and I actually found out how to do it.....are they Rom specific?

See here for the boot animation:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=753788
Ok I'm using Skyraider and my method of creating a boot animation was a little bit different then the link above....I had found another link on Android forums that explained how I could un-zip my existing bootscreen animation and modify the files....after doing this you simply re-zip ALL of the files using winzip with certain settings and then move the new zip file to the appropriate place in your file system dependent mainly on your Rom.....this way is a lot easier and instead of creation from scratch you will already have a base line template to work off....ill boot my computer here in a few minutes and post my boot animation and the link to that site.....Idt exactly how to do boot image posts and I'm curious if boot animations are Rom specific... if not then you guys can just go ahead and install my boot animation to check it out and try to teach yourselves

I think the only rom specific thing about boot animations is the location that they're stored.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
But I know they need info files to tell them what to do and Idt if that's Rom specific

I too have been trying to create a custom boot animation, only with sound as well.
I've managed to get the animation to work, but the sound never plays. I have the sound set as an 80 kbps mono 22050hz mp3 named 'android_audio.mp3' and I'm using the newest version of Synergy Mod. Both bootanimation.zip and android_audio.mp3 are sitting in /system/customize/resource right now.
What is it that I'm doing wrong?
Here's a post from droid life about how to create your own, and they aren't ROM specific.

[Q] Boot animation not baking into rom using XDADSI Kitchen

OK so I have been "Building" a sense rom (Building in quotations as you actually just really customize it) and trying to put a custom boot animation I add the files where the kitchen tells me and bake it and I get the stock android boot animation (silver letters that say android with no sound). I then tried to replace the files in the resource file in system>customize file and still same results. I am attaching a copy of the recovery log after a fresh flash and after initial boot if anyone can help thank you as I am learning both how to make these and run ubuntu

Btw, after changing your bootanimation, are you still getting miks bootanimation or the "android" with the shine underlay?
Android with the shine overlay

Then your bootanimation is not properly configured for one reason or another. You're replacing the right files, but your phone sees an error with your customized files and is reverting to the genetic/stock bootanimation....
Thanks vinchenchop guess its time to find another one appreciate the help

[Q] HTC Wildfire Stock Boot Animation

I searched whole websites trying to find the stock HTC Wildfire (Res. 240*320 px) quietly brilliant boot animation but couldn't find it. All what I find is for higher resolution phones and won't fit for Wildfire.
Would anyone got the stock boot animation to attach it please?

Thank you so much!
Well, I replaced it with bootanimation.zip in my Cym 7.2 RC1 in /system/media/ but it didn't load with phone, just the sound worked fine! What's wrong?
Set permissions rwrr and make sure boot ani is turned on in cm7 performance settings.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda premium
All parameters are ok and still not loading. Only sound is working. Shall I remove any other files contain same name from sdcard or what?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda premium
Not sure mate, its always just been a straight swap with mine, one question though and i don't mean to offend by it if you have, but you have extracted the zip first then copied the boot ani, and not just placed the whole zip there as you downloaded it?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda premium
Well, It was because I didn't apply Read write Permissions to system and media folders. Now it works but once images are all played, it turns to black screen until it finishes loading. I wonder how to prevent this from occurance.

How to pause stock boot animation on Cyanogenmod
I've installed the Stock Boot Animation successfully, thanks! But the issue now that the boot animation loads and ends showing before phone is fully booted, so it got replaced with a blank screen. What would be the perfect parameters for desc.txt in this case to pause animation in the last frame till phone fully boots?
Link dropped
Can you upload the file again? I need that file. Thank you very much.

Change boot animation on LG Optimus G

Hi All,
Here's how to change the boot animation for the device. Do at your own risk. I've attached the Cyanogenmod boot animation for starters.
Boot Animation
1. Using your file manager browse to system > media
2. You will see a file called bootanimation.zip and varients. Rename it to bootanimation.bak and add .bak to all the others as well.
3. Browse to your sdcard to the location of your new boot animation
4. Rename your new boot animation to bootanimation.zip if it isn't already
5. Copy the new boot animation to system > media
6. Give the new boot animate all the permissions.
7. Reboot and Enjoy
Cyanogenmod boot animation
Anyone tried it out yet?
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
There's a few apps in the market that have a bunch of boot animation options. They're all sort of consolidated, I wonder if they're safe
Do you have to be rooted or unlocked to attempt?
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
You will have to be rooted, not sure about unlocked. I"m guessing OP didn't actually bother to look at the files though. There are 3 boot animations in the folder. Assuming you are on sprint, you can delete bootanimation_boost.zip. The bootanimation.zip runs before the bootanimation_sprint.zip runs. I don't know if deleting one would cause it to revert to running the other one twice or longer but it probably wouldn't hurt anything to test. The bootanimation.zip is the LG logo animation and the bootanimation_sprint.zip is the sprint logo animation. I would guess that you could customize each of these if you gave them the same name, or maybe if you deleted the sprint one, the other bootanimation.zip would run longer. I don't have time to test it now...

If by safe you mean it won't brick it, then yes they are. They should work too.
Thanks, will attempt after root. Haven't had time to do jack squat yet.

Tried a few of those boot animation switchers. No dice
Just fyi for anyone who tried flash this, it isn't flashable, it just contains all the different dimensions.
Ok so I see the boost file. The sprint file. And the regular one. I changed it to .Bak and pasted the new one. But no dice
This will not work for the sprint att and boost versions i will use sprint for example...
You're mostly right however if you on one of the named providers above you must rename the old boot animation from bootanimation_sprint.zip to
bootanimation_sprint.bak then rename the file bootanimation.zip to bootanimation_sprint.zip i did this to restore the stock lg boot animation that was in there already i don't see why this would not work with other boot animation files
Enjoy

The "boot animations" application from play store works perfectly if you change "install location" in preferences to system/media and the preset file name in preferences to "bootanimation_sprint.zip". You can then just click install on any animation you like.

Not working for me, for whatever reason. Trying to use my own boot animation, and all I get is a black screen. This is my animation if perhaps you want to test if I've done something wrong. All I did was rename the bootanimation_sprint.zip into .bak and place that file in there instead. It should work, but it isn't.
just loaded yours up and just got a black screen, so i think its the actual animation thats messed up
I cannot get it to work either

Hmm, guess I'll look into why the animation isn't working. Even made it from scratch and then using boot animation factory.
Epic has a guide that works better.
Also, to make it work you need to change the permissions of the new file.

Tried it with his guide and changed the permissions as well. I'm able to get stock JB to load on mine, it's just my boot animation that fails to work for some reason. I recreated it again from scratch and still don't really know what's wrong with it. Using 8bit color, stock compression, everything seems just fine; and yet it isn't. Maybe I'll take this up to the boot animation tutorial thread to see if anyone there can help me.
Edit: Nevermind, it was something extremely trivial that I should have noticed that just slipped by me. The folder name had a space in it, which pretty much made it useless. Fixed by removing the spaces.
