Hi Guys,
haven't seen this come up in the thread but I have the Pebble MP3 player accessory that "matches" the Galaxy S3
You are supposedly able to copy "drag and drop" music from your phone to the MP3 player and vice versa.
I can see the files whilst using the stock and solid explorer (running a Sammy and AOSP ROM) but whenever attempting to copy either from the phone to the "pebble" or vice versa it fails and a notification pops up telling me the SD card was unexpectedly removed?!!!
Any ideas?
Thanks

Here is the same, I don't know what to do, any suggestions?
have you guys tried using the muse sync application?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.musesync
I'm pretty sure the muse app is a requirement for syncing with your Galaxy S3 or any other recent Sammy phone.

not downloadable in Italy. It should work just with the file manager apk.
It seems to be just a step far from working perfectly.

if ur usibg windows, connect in mtp mode and sync using windows media player. yes, playlists are copied too. this is what i use right now.

I bought isyncr and love it. It works perfectly. It even syncs my video podcasts so I can watch them.
For some reason recently my phone refuses to show all of my phones music and Photo files if i were to go into Music Player or Gallery. Only a small percentage of them actually show but if i were to use a File browser(SGS2's default file viewer) i can actually see them.

This happened to me last night, couldn't figure out for the life of me what happened. Ended up doing a full system wipe/reset (after backing up to my comp of course) and all is good now...it was strange though.

Noobie again,
I have another problem to which I couldn't find the answer....
My Arc S (LT18i Andr. 4.0.4) doesn't seem to find any new albums I include to the music folder.
I connect the phone to my pc and drag and drop music albums to the music folder on the SD.
In the past this has worked well but it doesn't anymore...
When I reconnect to the pc the albums are showing in the folder but my phone won't find them..
What am I doing wrong??

Will try, tnx!
I have a bunch of MKV files that when I try to copy them to my Note, it crashes Windows Explorer. I typically get the dialog that says "Do you want to convert this file?" with all of my MP4/AVI files (and I always say "no"), but I don't even get that option with these MKVs. According to MediaInfo, the MKV is using Codec ID: V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC and the MP4 is using "avc1".
I can, however, zip up the MKV file, copy it over to my Note, unzip and it plays fine...but that's a huge pain, IMO. I also don't want to have to re-encode any of my MKVs (all under 720p), since they actually do play on my phone via MX Video Player.
Is there any way to get my phone to just connect as a mass storage device, like with my SII, instead of as an "MTP device"?
Anyone? This is the same for the TF300 tablet as well.
Do you have all the right drivers? As well you could adb push and it should copy successfully.....I have done this before with a video but not an mkv before.

Yes, I have "Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones 1.5.14.0" installed.
I'll try and adb push a .mkv here tomorrow and let you know how it works

What I've always found the fastest method is to pop out my sd card, plug it into my computer, and transfer it that way.
I prefer to keep my media on my sd anyway.
swyped all these spelling errors fro card m my galaxy note 2
There is an app on xda called GS3 ums mount or something like that. Google it. It will let you access the sd card in your phone as a external drive when you plug it into your computer. You can then drag and drop files as you wish.
Format your sd card to exfat to copy files larger than 4GB. The built in player from Samsung plays mkv or you can try mx player.

Unfortunately, you need to be rooted to use that app...sounds like it's what I'm looking for though.
When using a NON rooted HTC Desire Z with Power Amp (cannot remember which version of droid or Poweramp) and an 8gb micro SD card I was able to select which music I wanted to listen too via the 'Folder' view, as well as the horrid 'Libary' view.
Now I am using a rooted (no customer ROM) Samsung GT N7105 Note 2, Power Amp 1.0 build 230 Full version, and a 64gb micro SD card. When I navigate to 'folder' I am instructed to check box the locations I store my music to play with Power Amp. The problem is the locations to chose from are all folders from my internal storage only, nothing from the external storage is shown from me to check. I have been through all the obvious options and settings but nothing is having the desired affect. I have tried moving Power Amp to the SD card to see if this works an no....
If it is not possible can someone suggest a decent music player that has a simple folder browser view? One with a decent EQ, or an EQ app that works with another music player with a folder/broswer type view?
I listen to music through headphones mostly so the EQ app or feature doesnt need to work through the devices speaker.
Thanks.
may i suggest the Samsung default music player

Once I rooted the device I uninstalled all the samsung apps including the music hub, I simply assumed like the rest of the stock music players I have come across this would be useless for me! I have tried to get the music hub from the market but it demands I update to the latest version before it will allow me to use it, and unfortunatly the latest samsung hub app is not compatible with my device!
Any other suggestions?
Not the music hub. . The music Player

This is making me seem like far more of a noob than I really am but should this be on the play store? When searching Samsung music all I get thats relevant is the music hub!
Samsung music player... you might have removed along with music hub. . (My Indian firmware has no music hub as the features don't work in India. . My note 8 with german firmware has both music hub and player. .... the music player should be there with the same icon as the hub... making it easy to have been overlooked while it was removed by you)

thanks, turns out the stock player wasnt as bad as i thought . the EQ is a lil clumsy, but the thing that puts me off most is not autoplay/pause when connecting headphones. Used it for a few days atleast though.
Ive just installed a newer version of poweramp and its done the trick anyway!
