Hi all,
I have been using the CM rom for about a month now, is there a known issue for the battery life with this rom?
Because I would get about 8 hours with G-data on and then I would need to charge it up again, Quite annoying and lastly I have the issue the phone turning it self off and take about 5mins to reboot it as it seems dead?
Cheers

Wow it's quite long booting time, i guess something wrong with it. Try to wipe cache & clear dalvik, if it's not helping try reflash and see whether problem overcomed.

Have you checked to see if anything is constantly syncing? Checked your partial wake usage? What about monitoring in System Panel?
Are you from Glenview, Illinois? I grew up there, live in Northbrook now.
Well i guess is not another way to solve this
Oh cool man and yeah all the sync its off and all the other stuff i just start having this issue after install the new king kernel ( bad idea ).

way to give up buddy.
a billion people have an htc evo who at one time had battery issues and fixed them, but there is absolutely NO way to solve YOUR battery problem.
There are a ton of variables as to why your battery drains. What rom are you running, if any custom rom at all? Kernel? Theme? Whats your screen brightness setting, or your screen off time? Do you watch a lot of movies? Are you on the internet all day? Is your GPS on or off? Is your blue-tooth on or off? How much time do you spend on facebook? how much time on Twitter? How far are you away from a tower? How strong of a signal do you have? etc etc ETC
Edit: Ok cool, well can you flash back to your previous kernel and see if things get better again?
hmm... have you tried flashing back to your last known good config? Did you do a nandroid before flashing the kernel? What kernel were you using before that was working? Have you tried flashing that one?
Yes i did all my reading before posting im using the stock rom, with the stock kernel now. I did not jave this issue before my battery was perfect until i flash the king kernel and yes i use a back up and flash it but i did not work
I just wanna know if its another metod to recalibrate the battery besides just pluging in and pluging off the cellphone

You can wipe your battery stats in recovery, but I don't think that will help TBQH.
If something is draining your battery you need to do some detective work to figure out what is doing it. My first post in this thread suggests a couple things to start with.
Yes friend i did that already mmm i guess im gonna try with another battery to see what happened
Your problem is in kings kernel, i know he was working on it not sure if he has solved it, try the cfs 10 one.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
That was his new release isnt? Thats the one i used and screw everythig :-(
Try reflashing it, maybe it will work then? How long ago did you flash to this new kernel?
Maybe you could give it a couple charging cycles just to be sure. Work with it for a week or so, letting the battery charge down, and then charging it back up again a couple times.
thanks for the tip im gonna do this but with the stock kernel i seems today it last a lil longer i was sufing, texting, even playing and making calls and it last me 7 hrs with out charging. i uninstall sport tap though i read something about that app that use to much conection
try this

i am pretty sure is problem is flashing a custom kernel with a stock rom, other way round (stock kernel with custom rom) probably fine, but i am getting off point, i have never been able to get my battery to reset properly, but on my phone its just a minor annoyance. the only way i have found that comes close
first of all i would really suggest you switch to amon ra if your not already useing it
(also you must do all this in one recovery booting so make sure you have good battery/ phone plugged in)
1. wipe battery data (again the same way you did)
2. factory reset phone wipe data davilik all that then do the battery again
3. flash http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo.../font></div>&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13176886532531
this will wipe your phone
4. flash http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo...en_Lightning&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13176887115882
this is your new rom, and kernel, its all in one. it should fix any battery problems because superwipe will destroy extremely completely anything on your phone,
PS. if you want to keep your contacts and applications, before you do anything above, go to the market and download my backup root and make backups of your contacts and applications, then when you do it all download it again from the market and bam you got all ur stuff

Here Try this. Its Worked for me.
use battery calibration app
I'm still learning but I know that 1min + boot times aren't normal. I'm running Synergy + God Mode.
I'm also noticing about 1% a min of battery drain. I'm assuming the drain is mostly from 2 source, 1) I'm in it debugging and exploring a lot more and 2) I'm noticing it more due to the accurate battery indicator.
But if there are any suggestions to tweak these I'd appreciate it,
Thanks again!!
Well its a big rom, and you figure 15-35 seconds at the splash screen, and maybe another 30 give or take, you can get a minute boot time, though the very first time it'll take longer cuz' it has to build the caches. Also I would recommend changing the kernel, or wiping the battery stats after the phone is charged to 100%.
yeah what he said ^^^ all the sense 3.0 roms take a while to boot and it is perfectly normal.
Thanks guys, which kernel would you recommend?

I'm running Freedom and it's going good, but there are three Kernels for Sense that I know of. You just have to try them until you find one you like.
Freedom Kernel
So hey just a quick question if someone could help i'd love them forever...
So my Xperia S(lt26i) is having issues with draining its battery completely and utterly in a very short time. It loses 50% overnight(8-9 hours approx) and it didnt really do it before. I have a brand new battery in it, i did a factory reset and i just cant seem to figure out why its draining its battery like this. If i restart it, it instantly drops like 3-5 % on the spot. I'm running Carbon rom beta10, i havent overclocked it or anything. Can somebody tell what causes it? Is it some setting, or what?
Thanks in advance!

The v10 has some battery issues. You could try v11 but it has fc issue. You can temporarily solve the battery drain problem of v10 by using this method.

Thanks for the quick reply i'm already trying it out btw what is "fc"?
Edit: The software you linked doesnt seem to find anything, its getting crazy, it only sees the same analogclock-widget thingy receiver for all the running stuff.
Edit2 : installed beta 11 did the service kills(somehow dropped my battery from 50 to 1%) i hope now its going to work properly, im starting to rage here. But thanks for the tip and the help, much appreciated!

Fc means Force Close" . It happens to apps when they suddenly stop responding and give an error.
Huh! Weird! It worked fine for Me on beta 10!
You didn't need it on beta 11 because from what I read, that problem was solved in this version and even I'm getting much normal battery life. And that is one massive drop! Did You check in settings what caused it?
Thanks again for the reply, somehow even beta 11 didnt solve it for me but the fresh install cleared out that buggy service so i could do the service kill, it works now properly, battery dropped ~10% overnight, although it did just drain itself for no reason in a few hours(just turned itself off again after some chrome update-.-) i hope i't wont start to do it again now, im gonna go nuts.
Hello everyone!
I have been using different Roms lately and the durability of the battery is pretty bad. Usually people say the battery should last at least 12 hours in normal use, in my case it works on use only a couple of hours (With screen off it can be on about 10 - 12 hours). And the weirdest thing is that I tried to drain completly the battery of my phone, after I got it I turned it on (With charger connected) and what happend was that I was into the window you get whenever you install a Rom or turn on the phone for first time (configurations, apps and the order of the things didn't change) and without even 5 minutes of charging my phone says it has 67% of battery. I've already tried different monitoring apps and also battery calibration apps, there was no improvement at all.
Any help or suggestion will be accepted.
Thanks for the help.

First flash stock ROM via ODIN. (Uncheck auto reboot) Manually reboot to recovery. Wipe data/ factory reset and wipe cache.
Use the ROM for a couple of days without installing extra apps to check battery performance. If phone battery does not last for over 8 hours on normal use, buy urself a new one.
Press thumps up if you found this suggestion helpful.

Screenshots of your battery screen after draining would be good. Then, we need to know which Rom you are on and if you made any modifications (like root, other kernels, sound mods....). Most of the times it's just an app that's gone wild, but to know anything, we need more information from you of your setup

Restart your phone. If you have custom recovery, wipe dalvik cache and cache before rebooting. Without further info, that is all the advice I can give.
What did you do last before the drain started?
All of this advice and not a mention of the only info that really matters. A logcat
