Anyone happen to know where to find a working download for DARKSIDE.TLLE4? I would like to try out his ROM since it is based on the Telus release. I googled trying to find a link but all the sourceforge links don't work
You can try and search sourceforge.net. That is where TDJ had most of his files.. Although I have no idea if all the links are still working

I have googled that exact phrase but three only download links found are on TDJ's sourceforge.net page that seems to no longer host the files.
I'm still looking for the ROM but I'm actually trying out ptmr3's Koodo 4.0.4 v4 ROM that seems to work well after I clued into the fact you need to manually enter in the Telus APN settings for it to work

Hi, and thanks to whoever takes the time to help out,
I would like to make the jump to PhantomPhreak53 CM10, and i am currently using a GB rooted ROM nothing special, and i'd like to know which kernel to download from Chris41g's list of kernels, he has so many and all have similar/different names, Please Help
Those kernels are only for cm9. Won't work with cm10. Just use the one that's packaged with the rom.

I was curious because he specifically said to make sure to have a safe kernel and then links to the page so i assumed he intended for Chris41g's kernel to be what he had in mind for flashing his ROM, so your basically saying, i'm good to go without installing a kernel for good measure ?
No off you want a safe kernel download el29 direct boot and install it via Odin and then use that to flash cm10.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
All GB Kernels are inherently safe so flash away. The new Kernel will be installed as part of the new Rom install

Ok, so el29 is what is referred to as a kernal that has a "safe recovery"?

El29 direct boot was made specifically for flashing ics based roms. You can find it on the epic touch cm9 blog. Just do a Google search for it.

first of all, I apologize if this has been asked earlier. I just got a rooted sprint galaxy s3 and I've been reading that some custom roms requires the L7J modem. I don;t know if mine already has it. I'm running team sonic free jb rom. Can someone informed me about this modem and if I should flash it.
Thanks in advance
No ROMs require a specific modem. To check just look at your baseband in the about phone section of settings

From what I have read its always best to use the latest modem . I'm running Jelly bomb 10.2 with LJ7 which is the most current . But if your happy with the do sticm to it and just change modems . Or change roms ,When I flashed jelly bomb the thread has a link for optional modems.

I have not seen a thread for Telus official Jelly bean for S II X yet so here it is.
I am just enclosing the link for those who do not have received OTA or Kies.
This is ODIN flashable official stock not rooted. so please keep that in mind. This will only work with T989D via Odin.
FIXED: The link for JB stock ROM that I had previously enclosed turned out to be Koodos instead of Telus. Though it will work with T989D via Odin, I was not aware until today.
I have fixed the link and you should be able to download the official Telus version. Sorry about the confusion

thanks for this
Not trying to complain, but I'd appreciate if someone can post host the files on another mirror. All links I googled are hosted on the same Hotfiles, which always wrongly detected my PC and reported download still in progress but in fact it had already dropped.
By the way, great job for posting it so quickly.

Thanks a lot for the mirror.
I notice that the file name is T989DTLUMC4_T989DOYBMC4_KDO.zip, I guess the KDO is short for Koodo?
Is this a Koodo Rom or Telus Rom?

Thanks for pointing this out.
I was informed that this was Telus but it turns out to be a Koodo stock JB.
Though both will work on T989D via Odin, I will reupload Telus and distinguish it from Koodo.
Sorry about this.
Edit: the link has been fixed so you should be able to download the Telus version.

Hey bro, I re-flashed this ROM and it's working flawlessly now. Had to wipe everything again
*hit the thanks button if my post helped you*
Hey I've been running this ROM on the sgh-t889 with little to no problems. If you want to be on the current version (3.1.1) flash dn3 v1.0 first and then the latest build. I check n7105 in aroma and note 3 launcher only and it works for me.

Go into the note 2 ATT forum for the download link. Theres instructions on how to flash inside the Dn3 thread. Install it & flash the T-Mobile modem. The apns for T-Mobile is already on there. Just when you first boot it up close the setup and you'll get 4g. I'm using it right now

Why port it? There's no difference between porting it and flashing it w/ the new modem. You'll get the same results except for maybe one feature that they dont have is WiFi calling.

Can't find the 4.3 modem for t889. Also do we flash tmo modem and kernel with dn3? Should tmo users download the LTE version? Matter of fact, it'd be nice if someone with experience flashing this on the T-Mobile t889 did a step by step instruction.
