[CM10/Paranoid Android] Auto-rotation in widget not working. - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I have a question for those on CM10/Paranoid Android. I am pretty new to Android, but I successfully flashed Paranoid Android just right now. The problem I'm having now is that the widgets that control auto-rotation don't work. I have to actually go into the settings app and change it in display. The auto-rotation functionality itself works fine.
Does anyone else have this problem and have you found a solution?
EDIT: I just tried CM10, and it has the same issue.

Album issue with latest ROMs (2.03+)

Hi there,
I have been having issues with the New Album, the one with Social Network Engine. In portrait mode I cannot move on to the next photo by swiping the finger across. I thought it was to do with a particular ROM. Then tried different ROMs - the result was same. I tried, UdK, Cloudyfa, and Vic. All have this problem. Others seems to have no problem at all. There are a few out there with this issue as far as I understand. Anyone know any fix for this. My original ROM was 1.93. Otherwise all other ROM functionalities work fine.
Sorry to start a thread. But I did search but couldnt find any solution. I have been trying different ROMs just to get the album working. Help will be appreciated
no problems on my diamond.
running AZTOR X2 (2.03 based) with 1.11.25.01 Radio...
really fast and stable..maybe you should give it a try

Thanks for your reply. But one of the aspects of my question was not everyone experiences this issue. Not everyone on the ROMs which I mentioned above has this isssue. Some devices seem to get this. So, just wondered if there would be any fix..
well, this issue seems to be only in 21000+ roms not the older 20000+ ones.
Btw, does anyone know how to fix the the album rotation problem in the new roms? Help would be much appreciated
I was having this issue with Cloudy 1.0, then yesterday I installed PDACornerIlussion v4 and the album was working OK. But this morning, after having installed all my stuff, apps, reg tweaks, etc the issue has reappeared... or well, partly. I can move to next/previous photo both in portrait and landscape modes but the soft sliding animation doesn't work. The pics just change without any animation at all.

Strange. Initially, I thought it may be a problem with one of the programs I installed. But I tested few ROMs immediately after flashing only to see the problem was there with the fresh ROM

Give PDACornerIlussion a try, I'm 100% sure it was working fine after flashing...

[Q] Bug in ICS Dialer?

So I thought this might have been just me, or maybe just the ROM I was using but it appears to be more widespread than that. I've confirmed this on GummyNex, CM9 Kang (winner00), and AOKP. I've also confirmed this on my buddies GNex.
With the phone app open and looking at Recent Calls. Lock the screen, then unlock, the swipe the screen over to the dialer and attempt to dial numbers and in some instances it lags heavily. Other times it freezes completely and asks to Wait/Report/Close.
Anyone else having these issues? Any known fixes?
I mean, I could hit home, then re-open the dialer, but shoooooot.
Any help is appreciated.

I can't seem to replicate this bug on my gnex. Tried several times, but i can't get it to lag at all.
What Android version are you running? I'm on 4.0.2.
Bugless Beast ROM and no problem at all.
By any chance do these ROMs all have the modified dialer with T9 support? Than it's most likely a bug in the modified dialer.

Yes, all of them.
Running AOKP b23 now...
Turned off T9 in settings, rebooted. Works perfectly now with no delays. Thanks for the quick response and fix, it was driving me crazy.
I really like that functionality so I hope a remedy is released soon.
Cheers!

Quick responses missing after JB update

Hey there,
I've searched both these forums and on the net, and almost nothing came up.
I'm running rooted stock JB right now (stock kernel as well).
I've noticed that every since i've update to JB, the quick responses option is missing!
When i receive a call, there is no icon/action for the swiping up.
The settings for the quick responses are still there and i can still change the messages, however i cannot use the feature...
Has anyone else experience it/found a fix?
I'm gonna flash to AOKP/CM/BAMF soon, so it's not critical, but still... very annoying!
p.s.
This is the only reference i found for it on the web:
androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus/483105-galaxy-nexus-quick-responses-do-not-show-up.html
and it's pre-JB.
Quick responses works fine for me on AOKP JB.

Hmm... It also works on stock JB for my brother...
very weird...
Is there anyway to reinstall the phone app?

I'm replying with the very simple solution I've found incase anyone stuble upon this thread.
I've had the stock messaging app disabled, and that seemed to cause the problem...
So even if it's a "Phone" (as an app) feature, it relies on the built in messaging app, which makes a bit of sense

[SOLVED] Losing app settings after reboot on JB

Ok, maybe someone has an idea here:
I started installing custom roms on my HOX a few weeks ago, and started with InsertCoin (ICS) because of the stability. Everything worked - this is my goto Nandroid backup, and I'm going back to it a lot. Now I've been playing around with Jelly Bean roms, specifically LorD's Ice Cold Jelly 0.7 AOKP and tbalden's CM 10 Alpha 1.2.
I had a couple of problems with the former, and everything seems to work fine with the latter, except a very strange issue I have with both. For some reason, a reboot resets all my apps' setting. This is most in the Launcher (Nova AND Apex, same problem), where all the widgets I have added disappear after every reboot, and my custom keyboard choice, Swiftkey. After every reboot, swiftkey is disabled, and the stock keyboard is back.
Since everything works fine with ICS, I've been thinking maybe there is some security setting or the like that prevents my changes from being saved?
I'd appreciate any ideas - I really like Jelly Bean!
I'm using CM10 Alpha 1 v2 from tbalden and don't have any of this problems. I'm using Trebuchet though, so maybe it's a launcher-based problem?

I just checked. Trebuchet also loses widgets after reboot for me. Is it possible that it's just some apps that aren't JB-ready yet that are reset every time (like Advanced Clock Widget, for example)?
This is from the 'Issues' section of both of those ROMs:
Some paid apps loses settings/acconts due to this android jellybean problem: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=34880 Solution is to backup with Titanium Backup and restore to internal memory, not to sd

Edit: sorry for being a **** about it.

I dunno, it could be the issue very clearly explained in the threads for both of those ROMs given it's exactly what you're complaining about.
I know, that would have required reading the clearly marked 'Issues' section for the ROM you were about to flash, and that would have been far too much effort.

Dude, thank you. I had read everything before installing the ROM, but then forgot about this after experiencing the issue. I will try this solution immediately!
Yeah, sorry, not sure why I was such a **** about it. Morning, tired, work... Eh. Hope you get it resolved

[APP] Sirius app not working on aosp roms?

So far on aokp and cm the Sirius app opens in landscape and then crashes. Works fine on stock roms. I'm thinking others are having this problem, anyone find a fix for this or can recommend an aosp rom it works properly on?
I use the app a lot and it's one of the main issues keeping me from going aosp right now.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
