Hello Guys ,
i've dowloaded and installed this ROM and its works good but besides the known bugs i've encountered in some i didnt find on the forums :
- data toggele doesnt work so good , sometimes i need to switch to airplain mode on/off to get 3G data to work
- i cant mount USB mass storage on my PC i dont have this option when connecting the device .
how can wrk around it ?

I'm using this ROM daily too, and I can tell you just this: if you have read the whole thread in the Development section then you would know that those are the current issues that vijendrahs tries to solve, besides that he even posted that he has fixed those issues within the new updated version of this ROM, but he won't post/upload the new ROM before the "kanging issues resolve" - whatever that means.
I'm still new to the Android world, and I have my Desire for like 4months now, but his is the best JB ROM so far and I rreally appreciate his work, I would even donate some money if I could ( we have some problems with paypal in my country - still waiting for them to fix those ), but I just can't understand why someone would steal or repost the same ROM on another forum and say that it is his work/ROM ??? everybody knows that vijendrahs is the main developer for the 3 ROM's, and those are the MIUI JB ROM, the CM 10 JB ROM, and the AOKP JB ROM, so please stop those childish things...
I even considering to go into development myself, still haven't found the right amount of time for that, but as soon as I can - I will give it a shoot
If someone has some info what I have to know, or where to start, please let me know - thanks in advance

Hi, i've got pretty different problem, i'm currently using JellyBam v2.1 , and i love this rom, but there is a downside of it, i can't play HoC or Dungeon Hunter due to network errors,actually i can only download from playstore(i've tried data wipe,cache wipe,even re-installing rom) Problem doesn't exist on samsung based roms, but i love trebuchet and other cool AOSP things and i can't live without them. So, could you guys let me know what can i do about that? I will be really grateful.
(PS: Sorry for my bad english,i'm still at learning stage)

Currently i would recommend you to wipe the data of the program itself, if this does not work try to install the program again, and btw have you tried running it on other rom? Does it work?....if you have any other question feel free to drop it in my thread=> link below

Works with only samsung based ones(tested on real stock and HyperNote v0.4), I didn't managed to play on cm10,cm10.1,aokp and jellybam roms.
has there been any fix for this, im haveing the same issue after flashing android revolution rom. gameloft games give network error and only work if im online these are games iv bought for the play store
I've goten a similar problem (can't play HOaC), and I found out that it comes from my adblocker...

It's running very good on my device, only issue caused was "Android.process.media" stopped..it's B'coz of improper cleaning before installing the ROM.
You guys do a clean install and it'll be nice ...the original File is of 245MB and the one which is on my Link is just 190MB
unfortunately no new kernel I tired to flash the new kernel image onto it but the Wifi module is not running so enjoy as it is
Keyboard is present this time unlike the last one...
if you want you can still delete some apps after installing the ROM

1.REMOVED : ANTI-SPAM, Backup, Backup_restore_confirmation, Browser,Bug_report, Cloud Service, E-MAIL, Exchange, LatinIME (Google keyboard), MiUi_HOME, Theme Manager, Voice_Dialer, Weather, Weather_Provider.
2.ADDED : ActionLuancher Pro(it was there in 19.07 but it is causing much lag so removed it), ADW_Launcher, Google TTS
one important thing is there THIS ROM DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY KEYBOARD the reason is that when i try to put them in ZIP and installed it I am getting an error showing "GoogleKeybaord stopped/ Sywpe stopped" instead I've given two separate .apk of Google_Keyboard(Gesture) and Swype(modified apk)
after installing the ROM, when you boot into it select English then skip the network and location settings (REMOVE SIM CARD TO AVOID MOBILE DATA CONNECTION as it will cost you if you are not subscribed for any data pack), Now goto file manager and install any one keyboard you like.
THE SIZE OF NEW ROM+Gapps is 179MB and the Original size was 201MB

I am using this ROM and its very very stable than any other great battery and no boot loops
further more you get realllllly coool looks...
NO WiFi BUG I DID NOTICED IT BUT IT IS BECAUSE I AM TRYING TO MODIFY SOME APPS AND LAUNCHER AND ACCIDENTALLY REMOVED A MAIN COMPONENT AND GOT STUCK WITH WiFi PROBLEM...
AFTER INSTALLING THAT THING M BACK ON STABLE ONE...
IF YOU WANNA TRY MORE MODIFIED VERSION OF THIS ROM, I'LL MAKE IT AVAIL BY THIS WEEKEND

I can't find the zip to install additional languages. Has it been abandoned or is the pack already included in the ROM itself?

which language you want this pack have Chinese, simplified Chinese and English...
EDIT: from here you can get the language you want

Actually, on V5 for both DEFY and DEFY+ on MIUI.com you can see this: Author: DreamTeam
On the other hand, for V2 on the DEFY page it says: Author: MIUI
That's what's confusing me... I'll try it anyway, hopefully it's much better than the previous builds (which were all ports afaik...)!

will your rom work on defy also, when we can expect it? I see that it has a separate miui v5 download link for defy and defy+...
Previous releases were supposed to be private.
3.7.12 is the unofficial public release.
Defy and Defy+ each have their own release, but they should be the same. They probably separated them to prevent people from asking why there's only one release for both phones.
Why are you even asking? Both versions are available, just download yours!
I ask beacuase I would like to test coolshahabaz version without unnecessary apps....

I tried 3.7.12 from miuiandroid and I get no sound when calling someone. I have to turn hands-free on to hear something.
The ROM is less snappy than mokee but it looks great. The no sound bug I face is quite ugly, though.

In CM 11 when I open up an video in the browser it gives me the option to play the video through a videoplayer or send it through a remote like Yatse. Now it just asks for Flash, any way to get the option to send browser video to video player?

i have a problem on my Note 2 N7105 running MawS5-V3 rom
The problem is that frequent breakdowns in spite of the Internet and connect to Wifi signal is good and there are also some applications rely on the Internet does not work as Mobogenie.

Hi very good rom but the phone keeps turning off by itself

Just flash to this ROM cause I have to use an app that requires a newer version of Android, good so far but I can't seem to disable the touch key light. The settings duration is not working at all. 1.5 seconds, 6 seconds, Always On and Always Off, none of these work. Any solution? Thanks.

Camera app replacement
Hey guys, thanks for the Carbon Rom - looks real good, is nice & fast.
I have one question.
I've installed Google Camera and I liked it better than default CM one. I tried to freeze CM camera so that Google Camera would be default everywhere, but pressing hardware camera button doesn't work (there is only a one-time vibro, camera doesn't launch, when CM is defrost it launches, obviously).
Is there any way I can set Google Camera to launch via hardware button? I'd like to delete CM camera to keep everything neat & tidy.

Problem with Carbon rom
Hi, I'm new at this and I had a problem when I installed your rom on my Xperia S. I managed to root it and install CWM perfectly... But when I flashed your rom, without any problems, and tried to reboot, the phone never rebooted. I just stays with the screen off and when I press the power on button for a while it only vibrates and that's it. I used to have the official Xperia 4.1.2 rom. HELP!!!!
If unlocked bootloader, maybe you should flash tft.
You can have a look at the main thread someone has the same problem....

I think this problem is known.
Which earphones are you using?
I think newer ones are not supported because of missing drivers but i am not sure.

Is it hard to make hdmi support? I use 4.1 only for hdmi. There are another 4.4 roms with hdmi, but carbon is best.

Yes it is hard to support hdmi since, afaik, there was no proper support built for it in the sources used by carbon.
build fails on OMX codec

Has anyone tried to build the ROM from sources?.. well I have and it fails while building the obj for OMXCodec --> OMXCodec.cpp:4569 --> frameworks/av/media/libstagefright/OMXCodec.cpp:4569:11: error: 'OMX_AUDIO_PARAM_FLACTYPE' has no member named 'nBitsPerSample'
If anyone met the same problem and fixed it, please share the fix/work-around.
So far i've edited OMX_Audio.h and inserted an OMX_U32 nBitsPerSample var in the OMX_AUDIO_PARAM_FLACTYPE struct.
It compiles on, but i'm not sure this is Ok.

Yeah well I tried to build it too yesterday evening, but I'm not getting any error nor the output zip file! Where did You find the error?
Mmmm... I don't really remember.
I was building the project just like in the 'how to' (I mean literally, step-by-step), and it just crashed at that point.
However, it turns out that there is another external module that is not supported and should not even be in the sources. Let me know if you encounter the same problems.
I have been using this rom for about a month now, good so fare.
But since a couple of days I'm starting to have some bugs (like the music lagging and even stopping when I'm doing other things on my phone) and some lags from time to time. Sometimes it's really smooth, but most of the time it's very slow and not confortable to use.
Any ideas how I could speed it up and make it smoother ? I already overcloked it
