[Q] more than 1 front led?

I'm noticing a bluish and purplish bulbs to the left of the Verizon name. looks like more leds that never light up. no clue what they are

darn. wished it lit up and was configurable

Proximity sensor and light sensor (for auto screen brightness) I believe.

[Q] proximity sensor lighting up orange¿¿

Ok so on my et4g, the proximity sensor is lit up. I've never seen or knew it could light up.. it's a dim orange. Yes I'm positive its the proximity sensor too. I've messed around with it and it is still working..
Attached is a pic of it... looks light purple but it's not..
Anyone know why this could be lit up and not go off?? I've never seen anything like it before

Maybe the red led is screwed and if by any chance it is purple its just red+blue at the same time
I say reboot and if this keeps happening logcat and try a new rom
Your last hope would be going to the sprint store

How about a picture in the dark without the flash?
Not calling bs or anything, just covering all variables here. The 'lighting up' could be light reflecting off of it. I've seen mine shine before in the right light. It's not an LED so if it's actually emitting any light, in case you didn't know - that's not good
Seriously though, no flash and a dark room or it didn't happen.

That was in a dark roon with no flash on the other camera. If flash was on the et4g screen would have a flare on it.
I figured out what caused it.
It was an app called -notification pro plus-
There is a setting under general settings to use the proximity sensor.
I guess it doesn't work well with out phones.

Red and blue LEDs are on the left side of the phone, not the right.

[Q] LED always on Note 2 ?

my note 2 always has a slight amber led always on
I have checked this in totally complete dark room and seen that the amber les always on
Has anybody else has seen the same ?

when you are in well lighted room, led is brighter, when you are in dark room- led is less bright. Same technique as for auto brightness

But that led is constantly on Strange

Is that not the proximity sensor? I'm guessing it uses some forms of IR for detection so will always be on. .. is normal, don't worry

I just wanna confirm that do everybody has git that or is that only me with that ?

Proximity sensor. Disable 'quick glance' and it won't stay on all the time.

Notification LED?

Doesn't this device have a notification/charging LED? On the left of the speaker grill, there are two lenses or whatever they are, one I'm sure is the proximity sensor, the camera is further to the side, but what is the other?
Just found it curious that the GS3 has a notification light, the Galaxy Nexus had one, but this doesn't?

Well, I have the new Steel Gray GS2, and I have no light coming out of that area while charging or any other situation.

You have to have notification light in settings like the rom I am using now liquid smooth even then only messages will blink in status bar. The notification lights used are the capcitive lights at bottom of phone you can set it to blink fast , slow etc. Also you could try BLN from the market and see if it works for you.

I just downloaded NoLED, pretty cool little program, I don't like the phone button LED's to show charging and notifications so this is a good alternative.

Yupp one of the downsides to this phone but we have found ways around it. I use bln pro and have the hard keys blink when I have a text or notification

Yup! I recently just purchased BLN Pro because I'm now back on TW based ROMs and wanted the blink feature. Awesome little app.
If you're on an AOSP based ROM like CM, it does this natively and the app isn't needed.

Lol no, light isn't supposed to come out of there. The light sensor there measures how much light there is outside so it could change the screen brightness accordingly... sorry for the misunderstanding though. The only thing we have as notification lights is the bottom row of capacitive buttons.

Note 2 has how many notifications LED's?

OK, might sound like a dumb question. I know the standard LED notification light location. But yesterday I noticed another faint red glowing from the circle close to the speaker (right). I was able to replicated when I opened the messaging app. If I selected I conversation it would glow faint red, and when I backed out to the message list it would disappear. What the hay is that light for?

White LED
I dont see the white LED glow either on my note 3 which used to happen on the note 2 is this a bug ??
