All is not lost.
Download ODIN from here
Download CF root from here
Follow steps below carefully:
1.Open Odin.
2. Go to PDA tab and click on that.
3. Select the CF-Auto-Root-SGN2.tar
4. Switch your device off. In your case since its stuck on logo just pull the battery out and put it back in.
5. Press Vol down + Home +Power together. Incase it restarts as soon as you put the battery in then while putting the battery in just keep Vol down + Home +Power pressed.
6. When the screen comes on you'll see an option which says press Volume up to enter into download mode.
7. Press Volume up to enter into download mode.
8. Once there connect your device to your PC and you should see the colour change in the same right below where it says ID:COM. (Make sure you have all drivers installed)
9. Hit start.
10. Let it complete. Takes a few seconds. Once done itll say PASS.
11. Reboot and you'll have SU.
Pretty sure that would resolve your bootloop.
Thank you so much for your responce.
I did everything you say.
But the phone is still lags on logo screen.
You need to get into download mode. Keep Vol down + Home +Power pressed all at the same time when putting the battery in.

Yes i did i put the phone on download mode im adding in odin the CF-Auto-Root-SGN2.
Im pressing start it makes the process the phone restarts pops app a message for CF-auto-Root (with red android logo)
It makes restart again and stucks on Samsung logo again.
What message are you getting in Odin on your PC when you do this?
PASS!
Before posting on the forum in my try to fix it i made a format from CWM recovery in system mount.
Can this cause the stuck on the logo?
Okay lets try another way.We can flash clockwork recovery and then do factory reset, wipe cache etc land see if that works.
Do the same process to get into download mode but use the file downloaded from here instead in Odin.
Make sure it is .tar extension when using it in Odin.

---------- Post added at 02:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:08 PM ----------
If you formated the files in CWM you just need to flash CWM again.
Use this in ODIN. Same steps as before....DOwnload Mode, PDA etc.
See if it works after this.
If not the download recovery cache fix from here and use ODIN.
One of these 2 methods above should fix it.

I just tried to do an nandroid to a previous ROM, this has been done many times before via CWM. This time after reboot I got stuck in a bootloop as I pulled battery and manually tried to get into recovery with power/volume this time it went to odin mode and now says dowloading, do not turn off target.
I have powered down phone from ODIM mode. but now when trying to re-boot im stuck at samsung galaxy boot screen. I now have tried once or twice to manually get into recovery to see if sends me to CMW but phone resets back to the boot rather than bootloader.
I have tried to hold volume up and power to try and boot into recovery and all I get is the bootloop while holding the buttons, never gets routed to recovery. (I heard for ODIN you hold volume down and power)
Has anyone experienced this? I have never used ODIN so no sure where this is comming from.
I have tried to manually get into recovery and I get a samsung message that downloading a custom OS can be harmfull either I can proceed or re-boot. If I proceed (volume up) I get the "downloading do not run off traget" in ODIN mode if i do volume down I reboot but that back at the bootloop
If you cannot get into recovery you are probably going to have to flash through Odin. From the sound of it you never used odin before. I would flash back to the stock rooted rom and then reinstall clockwork mod. I will provide links. A file probably just got corrupt during the nand restore. Lets hope I can get ya back up and running.
Install stock rooted rom:

Reinstall Clockwork Mod:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZRnH-_XZmM
Make sure you follow the steps exactly and do NOT pull out the cable during odin until it is complete or you WILL brick your phone!

Thanks guys, seemed to do the trick got my phone up and running just like it was. I just need to download CMW and ive done that when firdt rooted so shouldnt be a problem. You think if I use a backup from before (other than the one i used when i initaly had issues) will be a problem?
Thanks again
you should be good.
Stuck at "Data.img" thru odin. Possible EMMC brick fix! Thanks to Jaymoon pg.#44
So here's the deal. I just couldn't help myself and I flashed shabbys ICS test build this morning. Well the more I started reading in the thread about guys having issues restoring there backups I tried it. Flashed the cwm touch recovery....did a full wipe and then went to restore my nand of Blend. Booted up and gets stuck at the Samsung boot screen. I let it sit there for about 10 minutes. Then from there I pressed volume up and power to see if i could get back into cwm. I was able to and had rogue recovery. I then went to do a full wipe again. The data wipe took about 2 minutes....which was strange...then wiped cache and dalvik. Then went to flash Blend(not the nand backup) and again stuck at the samsung boot screen.
So I then went into odin mode and attempted to odin back to stock using the D710USEL29_20120105.stock from qb777's you tube vid. All went good....got the pass and once again stuck at the Samsung boot screen. Then from there I went back into odin download mode and attempted to odin the stock rooted file(not the file to keep your data file) and it got stuck at "Data.img" in odin.
So now I sit with the battery out of my phone and have no idea what I can try from here. I think I remember reading that as long as you can get into odin download mode there should be a fix. As alot of you can probably tell from reading this I am new to odin. I should have never flashed this test build if I was not a hundred percent sure that I could get back and also should have been WAY more familiar with odin before flashing.
I'm off to hit the sack....have a fat headache from this screw up of mine. I'll be up at 6am to check in here. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it......and whatever suggestions you may offer please take into account that I just learned about odin last week, so maybe a "odin for dummies" could help me out the most.
A little freaked out about this and really hope someone knows a way they can help.
THANKS in advance
[EDIT] Looks like we may have a fix. Refer to Page numbers 44,45. Thanks to Jaymoon and everyone else involved.

It is possible somehow your partitions got messed up.
If you look at section A2 of the EL29 ODIN One-Click, you will find the regular ODIN tar.md5
You can use that with regular ODIN. The file you download is a self-extractor so you need to double-click and select where to unpack. That will give you a tar.md5 file. Use the *PDA* slot in ODIN to select that file. Double-check you used the *PDA* slot. Then the only option you should select in ODIN (that isn't already selected for you) is Re-Partition (so you should have Re-Partition and Auto-Reboot checked)
so sfhub,
after doing the wipe in the stock recovery.... i did a reboot system
THe "samsung Galaxy sII" screen just flashes on and off every couple of minutes.

So this is different that what it was doing before? Perhaps you are making progress.
Try ODIN flashing just the rooted ROM (section #B4)
Sorry it is taking so long. I'm kind of using you to debug the actual issue.

do you want me to select anything in odin? or just the auto reboot?
It is a self-extractor so remember to double-click on it to extract the tar.md5 before using in ODIN.
Just auto-reboot is fine.
You've already flashed the kernel and reformated /data. The only thing needed to boot that might not be correct is the ROM, so hopefully this works.
alright... ill let you know in a few minutes what happens
It will probably take a little bit of time. The ROM is the largest image.
^ yea...
its going now... currently in FACTORYFS...
---------- Post added at 02:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:55 AM ----------
it says PAss..... not sure where it did data though....
factoryfs
NAND Write Start
RQT CLose
RES OK
REmoved
Completed
All threads completed (succeed 1/ failed 0)
It didn't do /data (data.img). You already formatted that using stock recovery, so it shouldn't be necessary to flash it.
Factoryfs.img is the ROM.
You previously already flash the kernel and verified it was working because you were able to boot into stock recovery.
So that takes care of kernel, ROM, and /data. I doubt anything is wrong with the modem. So everything that is needed to boot should be in place.
its just flashing the "samsung galaxy s II" screen again
it goes to a grey battery image screen
That is usually what it does when you power down your phone. What happens when you press and hold power until something happens?
press and hold power = gray battery screen....
edit... the battery went away and "samsung galaxy s2" is back
If it is looping again, try booting into recovery and wipe data/factory reset one more time.
I wonder if you can run adb logcat as the phone goes from off state to stuck on samsung logo. You might be able to see whats going on if adb picks it up.
^ That's a good idea ^ Might provide some clues.

still shows the E:file is written: not updated
in command prompt, type
adb logcat
it will more than likely say "waiting for device" . thats fine, just plug in your phone to the pc and boot up the phone as usual. if the phone is booting far enough, adb should pick up the device and start displaying the logcat.
I've been trying to root my Note 2 using the guide on XDA ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31801060&postcount=2 ). However, I can't access the CWM recovery. This is what I tried, maybe you can see where I did something wrong:
I've started Odin, clicked PDA and pointed it to the philz_touch file which I downlaoded through the link provided in the guide.
Auto-reboot and F. Reset Time are checked.
Then I put my phone into download mode, waited until the com.port thing turns blue.
Then I clicked start. Everything seemed to work fine and Odin said "PASS" or something.
The phone rebooted, but not into recovery. When I try to access recovery I see that it's stock.
According to the instructions in the guide I then unchecked auto-reboot, repeated the procedure and rebooted by keeping the power button pressed.
It doesn't go into recovery but just starts up.
When I try to access recovery it is still stock.

well just flash philz recovery via odin http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.prehp?t=1896696 all files available here , be sure to enable usb debugging and unistall kies just install the usb drivers that will do
Note :
normally, phone should auto-reboot into recovery.
If it reboots into android and your recovery remains stock, repeat above steps and untick "autoreboot" in odin. Once flash is done, keep pressing power button until it reboots (normally will go to recovery)
when in recovery, if you choose option "reboot system now" and you get "yes - disable flash recovery", select that option to avoid stock recovery overwriting cwm
thanks; i'll try

Everything seems to have gone fine. I followed instructions to the letter. But I failed to notice if it said pass or not and note2 booted on its own. I don't how bad it is or what I should do next. Phone working fine otherwise. Please help.
Hello i was flashing a new ROM and some how i borked it and now stuck on galaxy note 2 screen. So i installed up to date drivers and latest odin, downloaded a .tar for my phone and now the computer says "does not recognize device" and odin wont recognize either. It was actually doing the "device not recognized" thing before i borked this evening. So basically i cant use odin and cant get into recovery, when the phone is off and i plug in the charger it just hangs on the battery screen even though it don't move and the screen stays on when i unplug the charger, PLEASE HELP!! I was on latest att stock TW rooted ROM. Any help would be great!! Oh and it will go into download mode, PC just wont recognize device.

Ok so i had to go to advanced then file manager in twrp and find some roms i had in a folder named zips and move it to the root of the SD card then flashed now works. Thanks for the help!
I checked and followed almost every guide on the net. But it seems like my bootloader is locked or something? It always goes into Android System Recovery instead of CWM.
I installed latest Kies. (OS: windows 8.1).
Entered Download mode, and flashed chotu's recovery through ODIN 3.07, which I think is the latest. I didnt tick any additional checkboxes except the 2 which are checked by default.
Phone reboots, ODIN says PASS, and I press vol up+home+power and once again "Android System Recovery" comes up
I have tried this method 6-7 times, and also twice using Windows 7 and i really dont know whats wrong. The phone had Android 4.2.2 installed from the start. Yes, USB debugging is enabled but I dont think it interferes with Download mode.
Is there any alternative method, or any specific reason why this doesnt work?
Simply untick auto reboot option in odin before flash...after passing and all is done..it wont reboot..(reboot over writes the cwm again with the stock recovery)..... So just remove battery after it passes and open in recovery...CWM will come.....hope i helped...
NOTE- when after you done with your recovery..there will be an option in it when you press reboot that do you wish to overwrite CWM after reboot by stock recovery...select NO..and u are good to go for next time

---------- Post added at 02:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:12 AM ----------
Another method is that first you use root explorer..and there are two simple files which gives command to overwrite cwm after reboot.....just for info...... move both /system/recovery-from-boot.p and
/system/etc/install-recovery.sh to a different location so they do not get executed. I recommend just renaming them to .bak or anything you like... Some people say to delete them, but I prefer to make non-destructive modifications that I can undo.

Edit- after deleting/renaming 2 files...u can flash cwm....both should work ..

First of all, welcome arnab (From the P500 forum)
You need to untick auto-reboot option in Odin
Also after flashing CWM flash the Fix Recovery.zip file to stop Stock recovery to overwrite cwn

Nice of u to remember me!
When I flash by unchecking auto reboot, and press vol up+home+power, it goes into a bootloop (Galaxy grand screen showing over and over again), till you release the buttons, after which it boots to the OS.
i tried with both odin 3.07 and 3.04. same bootloop.
also tried philz_touch_5.15.0-i9082.tar.md5
If it's ur first time of firmware installing.. Then first install it and then wipe data and cache.. Then let the phone boot.. Then switch off. Go in recovery and untick reboot option and flash cwm... remove battery and this time it won't be boot loop

turns out that my phone was a "baffin". the usual recoveries were not compatible. I had to flash 4.2-THL-CWM-Touch-6.0.3.6-Baffin-Odin.tar
