I am going back to sprint from metro. I have my sph-d710 on metropcs right now. Is there something special i need to do to the phone to get it to work again with sprint, or can I simply just update the phone with the newest stock rom?
edit: I have redone the phone. I flashed the original unrooted firmware, but the phone will not activate. It still gives me the error 67. I have reset the phone, rooted/unrooted, pulled battery over and over, but nothing. I tried to manually add the information, but the msid field is missing. I can only add my cell number to the mdn. other than chucking the phone, what else can be done? Am i missing a step to provision the phone to sprint?

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting here and I hope I can find some help on this issue that has been bothering me. I recently jumped on a great deal for an I/O HTC Evo for $300 on Craigslist that is still active on Sprint. I went ahead and decided to have a shop that I also found on CL flash my phone to a Cricket Wireless account I had.
The phone was flashed and the talk/text/and 3G data were all working, but not very reliable. Calls were dropping, texts took forever to send/receive and data on everything besides the browser was slow or not even working. I severely regretted going through with the flash at this point.
I've tried clearing the storage by holding the vol. down and pressing the power button in attempt to reset the phone back to factory conditions, but when it boots up, the phone is still associated to Cricket. The person at the Sprint store was also unable to get the phone working back with the HTC Demo account and said the phone was made to automatically associate itself to the sprint network but it wasn't doing it.
My question now is where and what do I look for in changing my phone back to Sprints settings? I'm thinking that they physically flashed some kind of firmware or flashed PRL file to the phone but I don't know how to update or revert this change.
What are my options?
Thanks for reading.
flashing a evo stock rom should do the trick. gives u all the settings. all the apps. basically everything if im not wrong
I'm gonna try this with the file posted at geekforme and see what happens. Thanks for this advice, didn't think of this.
So far I've rooted and unlocked nand then flashed the Stock EVO ROM but it's still associated with Cricket...
When I go to About Phone > Phone identity , its showing my current username @mycricket.com, how do I change this?
I wanna completely clear any cricket connection off the phone.. Is there any deactivation code I can dial?
I updated the PRL using techknowfiles 00001.prl with no luck. What else can I try to undo this cricket flash?
I've already flashed it with the stock Evo rom and it is still working through the cricket phone number.
Ok guys i know this may be entierly possible but heres the story, i traded my iphone for a nice s3, normally on trades i always finish activation before I EVER LEAVE .I called sprint gave them the dec esn rom under the battery they said its good it successully attatched to my line,so i was of on my way to finish the # # rtn reset on the s3 and hopes for the usual self activation. To my surprise it wouldnt do it ,so i called sprint they said yes its on my line we tried rtn reset scrtn reset update profile etc.. etc.. all the normal stuff even manualy edit the msid and mdn,Upon reset handsfree activation fails says retry retry, So i looked under the dec and hex under the settings in phone and compared it to the one stamped underneath the batttery they are different
I attempted and flashed stock shipped 4.0.4 through odin then did rtn reset again and all of a sudden i hear HELLO HELLO HELLO ,thats metros acgtivation crap. So as it stands it has a clean esn for sprint but whatever they flash to get it on a new carrier still exists.
I read about flashing evo back to sprint right from a few steps using qpst but thats htc.
Any ideas how i can get the right stuff back onto it so i can reactivate it thru sprint.Any way/program thryu my computer to do this?
Because it has a clean sprint esn it apparentally was bought new and the poeple wanted it on metro pcs.
Have you tried flashing a sprint PRL? And im assuming you made sure you flashed a sprint modem right?
Every Sprint PRL
Hey everyone,
So I've been flashing ROMs on my Epic for about 2 years now, and I'm very VERY used to troubleshooting issues and solving them by either browsing the forums or doing it myself. However, I CANNOT get 4G to work on this phone except for stock EC05. I am currently running 4.3 with the latest gapps on the new Carbon Unofficial epicmtd ROM, with deodexed FC09 radio. I get **** service and can't connect to 4G. This happens consistently with all the ROM's I've used as well as the radios for anything past CM7. Does anyone know what I can do to remedy this situation? I would really like to not have to flash it over to another carrier due to sprint being horrible service providers.
tl;dr how do I get 4G working on FC09

I offer this suggestion with much caution....
Ever consider using EFS Clear within Odin? You'll have to setup your phone again, but it could help.
WARNING: This will completely delete your phone identification and you won't be able to reconnect to Sprint's network until you set it up manually again. Write down all your pertinent information, such as MEID #, phone number, etc..
From stock FC09, I recall having to do the following to enter the information:
Enter in the dialpad: ##785468#
Press Edit
Touch the number area to input your phone number.
Input your phone like: 5551112222 (Where you have area code and then phone with no dashes, spaces or parenthesis)
Hit return
Input your phone number like before in the next field
Hit return
Hit done
Manually update your profile in Settings > About Phone > Status
You can always just call up customer care and ask them the steps on how to reconnect your phone to the network. I just said a little cousin starting hitting buttons and when I grabbed the phone it refused to allow calls, text and data.

Nevermind, I understand now. How much success have you had with this process? And do I just need the phone's status splash screen information or am I manually entering EVERYTHING?
This one has me stumped.. I have a rooted Epic 4G with Pac-Man ROM installed. I started service with Ting a couple months ago, but got someone's used phone number which receives all kinds of creditor calls and random text messages. I downloaded and used FC09 multiboot option to be able to change my MSL to Ting which worked fine the first time. Voice and Data both worked. After 2 months of random phone calls from all over, i decided i wanted to try to get my old Sprint number moved to the Epic 4G. I booted into FC09, changed the MSL for the new number, but now cant get past hands free activation. I can get voice and text working if i enter the phone number and MSID through the dialer codes (##MSL#). The 3G symbol shows right after a MSL reset, but if i try to edit data settings, i lose the 3G symbol. This happens when trying to edit data under both the FC09 and Pac-Man ROM. I also have to switch back and forth to ns4g modem and the FC-09 modem when using multiboot. PRL and Profile updates do not work under either ROM as well.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
Have you had any luck?
If all else fails you may have to revert back to stock FC09 to get things working again. If there are still issues with the stock FC09 then you might call Ting and see if they can help you out.
After making sure everything is working with stock FC09 then reflash your custom ROM. I have not noticed any of the problems you have described with multi-boot FC09 and CyanogenMod v10 stable on my Epic 4G.
Hello!
I've recently bought an L710T Galaxy S 3 that was already custom-ROMmed by the previous owner.
I am trying to push in my new Boost account number onto it. The general advice for doing so that I've seen on the internet is to flash stock/TouchWiz back onto it, program it and flash custom back, but every time I try to flash stock through TWRP the stock goes into a bootloop during the Samsung logo. Same with other TouchWiz roms that I've tried.
Yes, I have fully wiped the device before flashing stock and wiped cache/Dalvik afterwards too.
Attempting to flash stock through Odin gives me "fused 2 > binary 1" error.
So, I went for the diag mode + CDMA Workshop method. I managed to successfully change the device number, but Boost wouldn't cough up the proper MIN for my account, all the customer reps seem not to know what I am talking about.
Is there another way I could return the device to stock or is there a way to push a SCRTN reset using CDMA Workshop/DFS or similar? How would I go about getting this phone to work?
After a lot of meddling and talking to Boost employees, I finally managed to get them to cough up my MIN by going to a store and having the store employee call them.
Technically solved.
