Found this on a blog and its pretty easy to install.
Download the apk from the link below.
Open root explore and navigate to system/apps then mount and delete the existing gmail apk.
Then move the new apk to that location.
Reboot and enjoy.

I can't find "Values" folder in my framwork.res apk (AOKP B23)?

I'd love to give this a shot, but am not thrilled about needing to decompile/recompile. Hopefully at some point someone will create a flashable mod.

Wow, this is amazing! Working for me on stock rooted 4.0.2. Now we need an ICS Button Savior theme This has been something ive been looking for since day one. Feels good to make use of the full screen.
Also dont forget to backup your stock framework-res.apk. I did it all with root explorer.

Its a little strange, but im going to keep using it for a while and see how it goes.

Edit: Also to everyone, wave launcher works well with this mod.
this may not be possible at this point but would there be a way of instead of having it as a side bar making it mark of the notification bar like the way honeycomb does it but having it at the top?

and also.. is it possible to remove some of the useless buttons.. or modifying the smiley key to change those horrible smileys..

I believe posting any form of Swype on xda is considered warez, since Swype has asked xda to remove all Swype apks. Probably won't see that type of activity, unless something has changed.

Well, I don't see the harm in posting screenshots, as long as we don't share the app itself.

I reduced brightness on buttons, and replaced all orange colors with ICS blue. Toughest part was the trace color.

Either it will work, but will not fit the screen, or else it will complain about your screen.

My screen DPI is at 280 and Swype works fine. Not sure about 240 though.
Isnt it possible to make a metamorph file to theme swype? That way, we wouldn't have to distribute the apk

Info:
If you get a "COMPILING ERROR" please choose System Theme and then reboot your device an try again!
You will get an error: 'Sorry, this theme is missing assets for your device's screen size'.
Ignore that and apply it anyway and REBOOT.
Reboot is always nessesary to apply all changes!!

its a great app and it far surpasses any other app available on the market for editing and taking pictures.

Works great on AT&T GS 3. Only thing I found is that when taking a picture and using the flash the picture comes on the screen all distorted but I would think that's just because of the flash. Taking a picture without using the flash is perfect. Thanks for the app. Been wanting it on the GS3.

So the update is now the zip? I flashed earlier yesterday I think and the background is grey.

So I was wondering, Since this is in an S3 thread i tried it and it works very well, but your screenshot is of an infuse so I was wondering how to get it working on that device? I tried it and the install failed. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.

this will not work on infuese, the licj is an example, aloso the phone in the pic is not an infuse, its a Samsung Skyrocket

Mine start and then will restart in the middle and say it has a good but back but then will fail upon a restore.
