i apologise that my first post on this incredible site is a question instead of something usefull but here goes.
i have an adapter that allows me to plug an audio jack into my phone to play music on my car radio. when a call comes through i can here the caller through the speakers but have no way of responding. i had a tytn2 that briefly (for reasons unkown) didnt turn off the phone mic alowing me to talk back. anyway to do this deliberatly on the pro2?
sorry if this has been covered did try and search
still cant find an answer. anyone?
can no one help or am i asking wrong
I use the same setup in my car.
I use this accessory http://store.everythinghtc.com/htc-multifunction-audio-adapter/11A75A4401.htm.
I have no problems and the Mic works just fine.
I've had the TytnII before and i have to say the TP2 works much better in noise cancellation.
hi,
I have the same problem than you.. with this adapter http://store.everythinghtc.com/htc-3-in-1-usb-adapter/11A75A3571.htm
I 've seen this adapter in a shop and will get it then http://store.everythinghtc.com/htc-multifunction-audio-adapter/11A75A4401.htm
Also, while using the 1st adapter connected to my car ext aux, the bluetooth earphones works for phone calls but not the microphone..
im not using an earpiece as the other person plays throughthe car speakers. was hoping to just be able to talk and be picked up on the mic on the headset. as i said this worked briefly on a tytn2 but most of the time the phone seems to turn the phone mic off as it thinks its connected to hands free
It works now perfectly for me using this adapter only:

Hello all,
For those who have the official 3-pin car dock, have you experienced this problem:
After removing the phone from the car dock, if you get an incoming call you are unable to hear the person calling you. You have to hang up and call them back in order to hear them properly.
I have experienced this on ICS and now Jellybean, it is extremely irritating. I had someone call for a job interview and I could not hear them, but they could hear me.
If anyone has a fix/workaround, that would be great.
UPDATE: I suspect the issue is with having it connected to the car via Bluetooth with music playing via auxiliary via the pogo pins , after that you are unable to hear the first call through the handset after leaving the car.
Have you checked your in call volume? Since the phone fits so tightly in the dock, sometimes when I remove the phone it presses the volume rocker down and lowers all of my volumes. You might want to check to see if that's happening to you.
Thanks, I'll try check that today. I would feel ridiculous if that were the problem, but I'm fairly certain its not since hanging up and calling right back fixes it.
It's interesting that you don't have this problem, are you also connected to the car via Bluetooth? Also what ROM are you running.

Is there another source for these?
The Play Store has had these "coming soon" since the dawn of time

Do you mean that the Official Car Dock uses Bluetooth to transfer audio? I remember that there was a teardown of the desk dock in this sub-forum (I'm having trouble finding it in, for some odd reason...) that came to the conclusion that there was no Bluetooth and the audio was transfered using the pogo pins, like it is on (as far as I know) all the other pogo pin-equipped devices. (HTC Nexus One, MyTouch 4G, Rhyme, One X, etc.). For some reason the Android blogs and these forums spread the idea that Bluetooth is used, but it appears otherwise.
In other words, would you please clarify how you are connecting an external audio device to the phone.
Thanks,

Hi,
Here is the set up in my car:
Phone dock is connected to the audio auxiliary port on the car stereo for music. (The pogo pins on the phone send audio from the phone to the aux port on the base of the dock). The Phone is also simultaneously connected to the car hands-free system via Bluetooth. In my car, music goes the the auxiliary but calls come in over the bluetooth. (My car does not have the package to support Bluetooth audio streaming, only voice.)
I hope that makes it clear?
I have a wired Jabra C550 I believe is the correct model number. It has a 2.5mm jack so I got an adapter. It is stereo. I used this headset with my old verizon gforce flip type phone and it worked fine. I can hear and talk using it with my HOX but the buttons don't work?? Any help out there? More curious than anything...
Hi guys, I’ve just bought myself a new car with Bluetooth handsfree built in.
Unfortunately this is handsfree only and doesn’t support audio streaming… .
I’m fitting an aftermarket solution to run an aux cable into the head unit but I’d rather have a Bluetooth connection.
So my question is, if I put a Bluetooth audio receiver on the end of the aux cable will I be able to connect my note 2 to both the Honda Bluetooth for calls and the Bluetooth audio receiver (don’t know which one to buy yet, simultaneously?
Would really appreciate your help with this one!
Andy
I've just purchased a Subpac, which is a device that can be paired with bluetooth and uses wired headphones to connect, playing the music through the Subpac which has a 3.5mm line out. But I have a pair of Sony wh-1000mx2s that I would like to use with, which isn't possible without a newer Samsung phone. I checked on my sister's S9 and it indeed worked fine with their dual audio feature, which is disappointing being a P2XL owner.
I do not want to have to buy a bluetooth splitter which would have to be connected to the phone, defeating the goal of being wireless, and I really don't want to switch to Samsung just for this feature. Surprised there isn't an app or mod available to achieve this.
