I had to turn off WiFi and turn on Roaming for it to work
It's not constant though.
Thanks for the info.
UPDATE: Recently switched to CM10. Everything works perfectly.

AT&T 8525 GPRS Password

Does anyone happen to know what the password is for the GPRS setting for the AT&T 8525?
I'm upgrading to WM6 Black Majik and the instructions on MrVanx's site says to copy down the info.
The only thing is that the password to log onto the network shows all *'s and I can't find out what the password is supposed to be.
Also the site says to go here to change the MMS settings:
MMS settings:
Again with any luck you wrote down the MMS settings, this time go to start>messaging>menu>options>mms>servers(tab). tap the 'New' button and enter the settings. remember to set the new settings as the default ones in the servers page.
But when I go to the options menu, there is no "MMS" option. Only SMS/MMS and after I click that it only shows to options box to check, no servers tab.
Anyone know what's going on?
P.S. I'm following the EXACT instructions on MrVanx's site word for word and everything has worked up to this point.

MMS settings - can't help you there - a good google search would get you this.
Anything u will ever need for AT&T:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1360192&postcount=1
actually, you don't need anything besides the AP. Usernames/passwords are not actually used any more. Just follow this:
If you have a pda connect plan then your ap can be:
isp.cingular
or
wap.cingular
If you have a media connect plan then your ap can only be:
wap.cingular
Okay, thanks for the link. I've installed the CAB file that was on the thread.
The only problem I have left is the fact that I can't receive ANY text, picture, or video messages. I've tried sending it to myself and from my Verizon phone. Nothing.
Any ideas?
Make sure you have the right text messaging/data plan..
I have unlimited data and messanging. So that is definately not the issue.

MMS problems on JB touchwiz rom

I'm having a problem trying to change mms settings in jellyverse rom (jb touchwiz based). I tried going to settings -> mobile networks -> apn settings and tried adding a new profile but it didn't allow me to edit it. Everything was just grayed out. Does anyone know why it's doing this and how I can fix it? Thanks.
That method only works on aosp roms. On tw roms you need to get you msl number then open the phone dialer and hit ##data# then hit edit

I also tried that method and it still doesn't work. I changed mmscurl, mms proxy, and mmsc proxy port. Are there additional fields that I should be changing?
I just checked back after dialing ##data# and the savings didn't save. I entered them in again and double checked again and none of the settings seem to saving properly. It just says <not set> everytime. Does anyone know why it's doing this?

I have this same problem. Well mine gets "server response error" I called Tmobile for my problem and they made me reset apn and made me reset my connection to the closest tower around my area. And then after that he couldn't me but to send a engineer to check the towers around here and he said he would call me back in 3 days today is the 2nd day. But my brother's phone sends just fine and we are on same plan.
Edit: I also had the s3 before this s4 and it had the same problem so I think it must be a problem with my phone line. I been looking up other ways to fix this and all the forums I tried, nothing worked.

If your s3 did it as well, I would try a new sim card (if you haven't already).

I have Mobile Data turned on in settings ... Data Roaming Checked. APN is fast.t-mobile.com
Network mode is LTE / GSM / WCDMA (auto connect)
Auto network operators...
For some reason I don't see 4G or anything next to my full network bars?
My phone is rooted... does that screw it up?
I had to manually add a new APN, and then manually add the APN settings in GoSMS Pro to get it to send MMS for me.
MMSC:
http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS PROXY:
216.155.165.50
Is what I have added in GoSMS Pro to get it to send.
These are the settings I used for the new APN I added
Name T-Mobile US
APN epc.tmobile.com
Proxy blank
Port blank
Username blank
Password blank
Server wap.voicestream.com
MMSC http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy 216.155.165.50
MMS Port blank
MCC 310
MNC 260
Authentication type not set
APN Type default
APN protocol IPv4
Bearer Unspecified
----
Also I have to be off of WiFI for it to send MMS. I have to manually turn off WiFi and then once on mobile data again I can send the MMS with no issues. Hope this helps. My phone is rooted as well, but it wasn't sending the MMS even before I rooted.

This makes no sense to me, I can't be on WiFi at all if I'm sending MMS to anyone.
s4
happens to me as well?
Send a pic to your phone from your Gmail. [email protected]. It will work with wifi calling after that.
It has to be from the Gmail your logged into your phone with. Unknown why this fixes it but it does.

Jedi X 20 - MMS wasn't working, but is now

Just in case anyone else has this problem I decided to post it here.
I was having issues with MMS on Jedi X 20 for my T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 (toltetmo). I would try to send and receive MMS but they wouldn't go through. What helped me was tweaking the APN settings, I was missing:
"mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc" (make sure to add "http;//" at the beginning) from the MMSC section
of my APN settings &
"default, mms, supl" under APN type (also found within APN setting).
You can access your APN settings via the following:
APN Settings
From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
Tap Settings.
Tap More settings.
Tap Mobile networks.
Tap Access Point Names.

Thanks for this fix. Before this I was to switch to the other apn so that mms worked. I see you used the same values from the other apn. Makes sense.
The other apn has dun at the end of apn type. Whats that for.
Again, thanks for posting this fix.
Thanks buddy.

I have T-Mobile and don't recall having mms issues. Neighbor with iPhone 6 has issues sending/receiving mms messages when on Wi-Fi. Who is your carrier?
I have t mobile also. Dunno what other settings I can look at.

You have probably 3 items in APN settings and the first one is selected? Do you have any app that can interfere with the native app or some settings?

If you tap on the first APN setting that is selected, then scroll down to "APN protocol: " What is selected in that settings? IPv4 or IPv6 or IPv4/IPv6? Also how old is your sim card and which signal is available(3G, H or LTE) when you try to send/receive mms?
I was having mms issues on T-Mobile and I changed my APN to the same settings as my S6 edge and I haven't had issues since. For some reason, there are separate APNs for mms and calling/internet and I think that was my issue. I've been fine ever since.
You have to add some URL to mms in the APN settings. Google APN settings for T Mobile.
