I got my 4.0 aftet doing this.
First delete the threads like when will we get ics if you started a thread
Second do a factory reset.
Third pull out the battery.
4th put the phone and battery in the desk drawer.
5th dont touch the phone for 3months from now on
6th then u can put the battery back in and you should receive an ota or check xda. If you didnt get it repeat the process.
its important not to use the phone in that period of time because the phone knows if u created a thread or not. If you did created the thread and dont follow this procedure the phone will go back to cupcake(1.6) and lock him self up with some hardcore bootloader that u can never root it. And the phone will overvolt your phonw by 4times and underclock the phone to 400mhz and use only single core.
And cut the ram and memory by 1/4. So careful if you dont want to end up with 400mhz overvolted 256 mb ram 4gb phone. Oh and one more thing. It will only do 2g and no wifi.
Ics update or ****ty phone. Your choice

Nobody knows but we're all hopeful. Rumor has it that dev slayher is working on CM9 for us.
In the meantime there are a few nice gingerbread ROMS for us to use in the development section. I'm using Juggernaut and am loving it.

I received an update this mourning.

I am running 2.3.6 on my galaxy s2 unrooted. It was on it when I bought it. This mourning I wake up and it says there was an update for it. So I did the update but it still says im on 2.3.6 the only thing I see different is the lock screen. I was wondering if anyone else got this and what exactly is different

True that except for that last part some of us have to use kies and dont recieve otas for some reason or other and rely on forums to know when to go check instead of checking everyday.

Omg!!! I just got the ota 4.04 ics for my epic 4g touch on sprint

HAHAHAH Yes I finally got an official OTA update for my Epic 4G touch about 14 minutes ago. I received ICS 4.04 It's amazing ! view screen shots attached...
Its no BS and I know everyone has been waiting for this for a really really long time but now we finally have it! So far I like ICS it seems really smooth and it official so hells yea!:laugh:
My phone is on activated on boost not sprint, but same towers same service so everyone should be getting this tonight!!:laugh::good:

Yes, a few people have already gotten it in the ICS update thread. I myself decided to manually update it through qbking77's guide for my father. Playing around with it a bit, nothing new, since I've been running The Blu Kuban for a while now, but my dad's ecstatic. Btw, if you want the stock ICS feel, use Sprint ID and choose the original.

Does not factory reset anything I have this phone on boost and everything remained the same... so Update is good

why not just clear defaults on tw launcher then when you press the home button select the one that says launcher, and make that the default.

Because vía SprintID it's just a 2-3 Taps away (faster) and clearing TW case take extra unnecessary steps. 10-11 taps plus some long scrolls.
3 taps vs 11 taps what way will you choose? Duh!

IT'S A $1.50 MAN...... If you can dish out $200 on a renew contract or close to $600 off contract when it came out or even $100 on a renewal and $350 of craigslist right now for a phone, I don't see how you wouldn't be able to dish out $1.50 for something someone put countless hours into making.. Unless your mommy and daddy got you the phone, then you shouldn't even waste your time typing that kind of comment..

no need for the ignorance i was simply stating it would be nice if it was free. i don't see a need to put $1.50 into a theme that later down the road will either not work on cm anymore because its a different system. besides when you get a phone you keep that for a pretty long time 2yrs if not more.....so its not putting it into a very good comparison if your comparing a phone and a theme for a phone.

It will work on CMX, as long as he updates to CMX, which the OP said he will. 1.50 once, updates for life, not a bad deal.

Sprint S3 gets JB first

I think Samsung must be making up for the delayed release of ICS on our phone

Samsung is getting better at releasing updates. We'll see Jelly Bean on our device soon enough.

GS3 is $99 at Best Buy today, if you signed up for the BB gift card early this year that takes it down $50. I'm still gonna pass though - I'm still very happy with the GS2, and more interested in the LG Nexus, Note2, or GS4 next year.

Now they will work on our phones JB! I'd say December for OTA. But we shall see. The International SGS2 is suppose to get JB in November. I say December because Fj10 is super smooth even as a testing build!! Can't wait !

JB isn't as much work, its just updates on ttop of ics as the base, not an entirely new code structure like going from GB > ICS it only took a little over a month for the sgs3 to get JB ota

But ics was very buggy and still isn't all that great. Have u flashed fj10? Its smoother in its buggy as hell mode then ics is now.

According to this article about the GS3's JB it says Samsung says JB will be available for the GS2 on November right after the GS3. We already have leaks and rdf's so let's hope!
