[Q]No backlight, no power light, touchscreen laggy - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, today, I turned on my PLAY and it got stuck on the lockscreen, It wasn't responding so I pulled off the battery, then I boot it again but I don't have backlight, any light on the power button and the phone is very very slow and the touchscreen doesn't work correctly. I flashed R800i 4.0.2.A.0.58 EnhancedV2 firmware but I have the same problem...
Some ideas?
PD: No warranty, unlocked bootloader. I was using Gin2JellyBean 1.8.1
EDIT: Hi! I've just flashed UK version firmware and I can operate with my phone, still laggy (for example, booting, unlock screen, etc), entered into Service Menu and checked Led/Ilumination Test, stills the same problem, no backlight or led in the power button, and checked accelerometer and gives: Error in acelerometer sensor
EDIT: I had a continuous screen blinking(think that is the backligh cable problem), whe phone auto disables the screen, it remains some time in a black screen with the backlight on
I still having problems with unlock screen, the screen is so unresponsive
EDIT: After shutting down the phone, stills blinking a black sscreen with the backlight on and the blue led is blinking each 5 seconds (aprox.)

Re download stock ftf files, boot phone into recovery, wipe data, cache partition, & dalvic cache, flash new ftf

I'll do it when I in home
I let the phone charging all the night, then I turn it on and the backlight works, the phone stills a bit laggy, when I mount the SD card, after mounting, the phone dismounts it again, after do it 3 or 4 times, sometimes I get a red light on the power button.
Thank you for the help
EDIT: Fixed SD card issue, I had to put the back case on
SOmetimes the phone gets stuck in a black screen(baklight still on) and when it turn the screen blinks a bit (maybe flex cable is bad)
EDIT2: The screen is blinking continuously, it's llike if the backlight goes out for a few time and get back, whe the phone auto turn of the screen, remains in a black screen with the backlight on
Sorry for my english

Sounds more like hardware issues than software. As mentioned it could be the LCD cable, it may even be the light sensor. Flash back to stock for the meantime and let us know what happens, if it still flashes then it may mean a trip to the sony service centre

Bootloader Defect ?

Hello people,
I hope you can help me?
after I unlocked my ion in the root mode and the bootloader
I (which ran without any problems), I have (I think)
inadvertently (or better through their own stupidity)
instead of the boot.img here
use these
and on my written ion
comes shortly after the restart, the "sony" logo and then it restarts the whole is repeated several times are only a black screen is shown. the backlight is on. after about 5 minutes, the device switches itself off then.
when I connect it to the power supply, the LED turns red, just on the pc.
I'm not in the flash mode (green LED) still in fastboot (led blue)
I get it myself down again?, or should I send it?
ever thank you for your help!
PS: at the moment where the Sony logo appears on the screen I get a short USB Connect!

I'm afraid that you must somehow flash stock fw and stock kernel. For this use Emma or Flashtool. To install all necessary drivers you must install SUS.

HTC Incredible won't boot, orange light blinks

My HTC Incredible hasn't been used for a while, so when I tried to use it, it wouldn't turn on. The orange blinking light blinks and it vibrates once if I press the power button, but then it stops doing anything. If I charge it long enough the light turns green but then if I press the power button, it vibrates once and stops blinking. Do I need a new battery?
What was the last thing you did to the phone? Did you recently flash something? Try booting into fastboot: power volume down, if it boots to that your savable, but not even the HTC screen shows up when turning on?

My phone hasn't been used for a long time, was stock after restoring to factory settings when last used. (used to be rooted with a custom ROM) Worked fine when last used, only stopped now. Can't boot into fastboot or recovery. Screen stays black.

the only time I've had this problem it was because I flashed an incompatible hboot... had to drop a PB31IMG.zip on sd card and shoot in the dark to install it. If you haven't done anything with the Hboot, then IDK. try dropping Hboot .92, 1.02, or 1.07 on sd card as PB31IMG.zip... when you boot, hold down vol - and power on. be patient, because you can't see....wait about 30 seconds and push vol+ to install the parsed hboot and then wait about 30 seconds more and push vol+ to reboot..hold down the vol- to hopefullly get into a visible bootloader. Other than that...maybe looking at a hardware problem...open up all the motherboard covers and see if anything is fried...Good luck! and be gentle with the ribbons if you tear it down!

HTX One X, Frozen, No Bootloader, No Power Off... suggestions ?

HI guys,
Hoping you guys can help me. I have a HTC One X I picked up 2nd hand (apparently wouldn't charge). When I received it, I cleaned out the USB port (little bit of fluff) and plugged it into the charger... no light (expected).. I left it on and shortly after, a solid red light appeared..
After a little while on charge, the phone turned itself on but stayed on the 'HTC' splash screen and went no further. I tried powering it off completely so it would charge without draining battery or slowing the charge because the phone was on.. but every-time I tried turning it off (either holding Power button for several seconds until screen went black... or holding Vol Down + Power button for 10sec as some suggested) the phone would just reboot back to the HTC logo splash screen and stay there.
Eventually I got the screen off (not sure how) and continued to charge, then it came back on again... :/
I tried to boot into the 'Bootloader' to Factory Reset etc.. but I am unable to do so. Every-time I try, the phone would just reset back to the HTC screen.. even if I kept the Vol Down + Power button held down, the phone would just loop to that HTC screen...
As I type this, the phone is sitting, plugged in, Red LED Light Solid lit but phone on (stuck on HTC screen)... just wondering if anyone has any tips ?
Is it possible to reset the phone via ADB if I can't get into the Bootloader ?
Thanks in advance..
UPDATE: Somehow I managed to boot into the Bootloader, and by the looks of it, the previous owner rooted the phone as it have CWM v5.8.4.0 installed. Wiping Cashe, data, factory reset, Dalvick cache etc.. still no change, sits on the HTC splash screen.
i did notice in the Bootloader though, it said the battery was too low to flash .. so I guess I have to leave it on charge for longer to try flash the phone again (maybe previous owner borked the ROM installation or something?)... unless is there anything else I can do? Maybe with ADB ?
Mods, can you please delete this thread.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Phone boot up, but the screen remains black

So I was trying to flash the VF version of Ressurrection Remix, ended with a fail because I have no idea how to upgrade to mm blob since I have downgraded my self long ago, so I deleted all partition, and restored my previous backup.
But strangely my phone is completely black, first thought my phone is bricked, but it's not, going to fastboot mode, screen won't turn on, same as doing normal boot, scree remains black, but when I turned off the phone and plugged in to the wall charger, the screen turns on and show battery icon in it.
So I tried to do a normal boot while the screen is black after trying to boot into fastboot, keep waiting and finally there's a vibrate, and charging LED light up, pressing the power button will vibrates and I'm assuming that's the power menu, long press the power button will turn on the flash, so my phone is working but only the screen went black!
and this is not a brick, I have no idea what's going on with my phone, so any help?

(SOLVED) Screen doesn't turns on after flashing a rom

Hello, after dirty flashing Jaguar 8.1 latest version I've noticed the battery indicator wouldn't decrease, stuck at 98%. So I did a reset, and after that the screen didn't turn on anymore. Tried keeping power pressed, vol + or - and power, nothing would produce a thing... No vibrate, no led indicator, nothing. The only think working is Windows making that noise when you connect a device to usb (phone cable). I've tried re-flashing stock rom with qfil and it worked (it seems the phone is in the download mode for recovery), but nothing changed, screen still doesn't pop up... I am desperate, since I've tought that after a QFIL flash there was no way it wouldn't come back to live... but it didn't !!!!
Any help is welcome!
SOLVED: opened the back cover and disconnected the battery. Now I will have to reinstall everything just because of this damn bug... I really hate this... but at least I didn't loose my phone.
