Try pulling the battery, try flashing again with flashtool using different USB ports, make sure your battery is a good 50% charged before attempting the flash process.

You updated it on unlock bl so flashtool won't work you hav two options. Relock bl then flash via flashtool or apply patch of .ta file

[Q] Xperia Bricked after update-Already flashed. Help!

Hello there. I recently bought an unlocked Xperia Play from Ebuyer. I then rooted it successfully. But the problem is, my phone automatically updated itself one morning, causing it to be bricked. As I have already flashed the phone before I knew how to do it, but this time when I press the power button, my phone only vibrates once and nothing else happens, and only when I keep pressing the power button it just keeps vibrating.
When the USB cable is connected to my laptop, the phone has a Green light if that is of any help to you.
Thank you in advance. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
---Another problem I seem to be experiencing is the main drivers for the phone appearing as "Flash Device" but on my main computer it was seen as Android. Sadly, my power supply for my main PC failed (Not having much luck, am I?) and I can only use this laptop. Do you possibly have drivers for my XPeria Play for Windows 7 64 bit that would see my phone as Android? Or, could it be because my phone is bricked that it's only being seen as a Flash Device.
Ah... don't worry, it happened to me too not so long ago, it can be fixed. What you gotta do is relock your bootloader so it unbricks itself, while loosing root. Search here in the forums for something called Blagus Relock Bootloader Script. That green light you see there, that indicates your device is either fully charged, or it is in flash/recovery mode. Make sure to enter that mode before doing anything with it by holding the BACK buttoj (NOT the search button) while plugging in the USB cable to the phone. Search for the script I said before using fastboot or flashtool, I don't remember quite well. I'm new here so I can't give you the link, but good luck anyways! This will fix the problem, just re-unlock the bootloader again and you'll be fine. BEWARE, though, if you flash a new custom ROM after that, you will break the baseband/radio. You MUST re-flash a new, updated 2.3.4 firmware for you R800i/a/x/etc, DON'T use a generic from UK if your phone isn't from UK, and use US version if yours actually from America. I believe there's a difference but I did use first "generic" UK 2.3.3, then it bricked, relocked the bootloader, and flashed an updates firmware, totally generic, 2.3.4 that was made specifically for R800i and showed up differently than the other in flashtool. It has a new screenshot function which was pretty awesome, which wasn't my case since I was flashing CM7. Good luck!
EDIT: I usually hate doing this on forums, but since I'm new and my post does actually help I must say FIRST! I'm so happy right now
I have the same problem with my daughter's Play.
However it is originally an unlocked phone bought in Singapore. No rooting, no custom kernals, no nothing. It is original.
After installing the Firmware through PC Companion, she got the instruction to unplug the phone, remove and reinsert the battery and power up.
The Play vibrated once when the power button was pressed and then nothing....
I subsequently tried reflashing again with Flashtool but no difference. I see the .sin being flashed in but the same thing happened on power up... vibrate once and then nothing...
Any suggestions? Help?
How do you check if the phone is set to receive over the air updates automatically?

[Q] Damaged my Xperia Play ...Please help me out...!!

I had recently flashed my phone with a custom rom (I do that all the time, when a new rom comes up, for testing) But because battery drain issues with custom roms, i decided to go back to the stock firmware, so i flashed my rom with the ver 4.0.1.A.0.283_(1247-6212). When i connected my phone to my wifi network it showed, a new update that was available i.e 4.0.1.A.0.42 ver. so i downloaded it via wifi and when it started installing the update, my phone suddenly switched off. And nw it wont turn on...I tried flashing it again, the flashing process successfully completes but still the phone wont switch on. When i press the power button it just vibrates for short time and a green light (flashing light) flashes on and off. The fone wont enter into fastboot mode. when i plug it to the usb the green light glow even if i dont press the back button.... what do i do...
any help would be appreciated ...thank you in advance.
Did you unlock the bootloader? You cannot update OTA with it.
Sent from my R800x using XDA
yes the bootloader is unlocked..
i wonder if your phone can be resurrected by Alejandrissimo
That's what happens when you don't follow instructions.. There are many, many warnings all over these forums about OTA causing problems with an unlocked bootloader.

Did u try to fix the problem with Flashtool (flashing a stock rom on ur phone)
Yeah...I'ld be really carefull the next time....Can be repaired or i'll have to find a SE service center.. ??
Yeah ....flashing completes ... but it doesn't start, Does the same thing ....when i press the power button it just vibrates...
Try to flash a new kernel on it with a guided Tutoril...u will find one here or try to boot the RecoveryPLAY.img with fastboot too
I cant enter the fastboot mode....if i press the search button and plug the usb nothing happens for sometime and the fone enters the flash mode. so i guess that i'll have to recover the boot ...i guess its corrupted...
now i have the ultimate solution...relock the bootloader again, then flash a stock rom on it...it will work fine again!!

Thank you! My phone is up and running again

I think I killed my Arc. Is there anything I can do?

What is is:
Docomo Xperia Arc LT15i, flashed ICS LT18i firmware a while ago, which has worked fine.
I currently use a GNex as my primary phone, and decided to convert my Xperia Arc into a portable music player, just running ubermusic with a microSD card.
What happened:
Yesterday when I connected it to wifi there was a system update notification. I thought, sure, let's see what it does. Perhaps that was stupid, not sure. It downloaded the update, rebooted and started to update. Got about a quarter of the way and then went blank. That was the last I saw anything on the screen.
What is does now:
I tried to power it on but nothing happened. It won't even boot. When I hold the power button down, the led light blinks green (about one blink per second, very brief blinks). I plugged it into USB, and flashtools recognized it in flash mode (without holding down the back button when plugging it in...). I then tried to flash the newest generic global (4.1.B.0.431), which flashtools showed as completed and successfully flashed. But it also said "please wait a moment, the phone will reboot", which it never did. Flashtools showed it as still connected in flash mode. I unplugged it and tried again, same as before. Won't even boot. I tried a couple more times flashing the same and previous firmwares (4.0.2.A.0.42), but still nothing.
It seems totally bricked, and I think I killed it. All I can get is flashmode.
Any suggestions or ideas? Or am I just stupid for trying to see what the update would do? I figured there's always some way to fix the system, since the hardware is fine.
I invited myself to the same problem but in a different way, result is same bro
please help us folks
Did you unlock the bootloader?
Is ur Bootloader Locked or Unlocked ??
I think you could be suffering from the 0% battery Issue (just a guess).
Try reflashing LT15 firmware with Flashtools & when it says flashing finished device rebooting ,then unplug the device & turn it on.

Bootloader is unlocked. So yes, trying to accept the OTA system update with an unlocked bootloader was stupid.
I've tried flashing several times, and of course I try turning it on at that point, but nothing. I'll look into the 0% battery issue, haven't read about that.
Here is the thread, sorry I didn't find it in my previous searches. This solution worked for me. We can close this thread.
You can attempt using s1tool and test point to relock the BL then use sues to fix.

I need some help.. PLEASE!

Okay, I've had my Xperia ion (at&t model) for a few weeks now. I decided to root it awhile ago and everything went well, no problems. I also flashed CWM and still found no problems with the phone. I didn't get the bootloader unlocked so I couldn't flash any ROMs. But my buddy wanted to use the phone so I factory reset it in CWM, and rebooted it. It wouldn't go past the sony sign so I did a soft reset and went back into CWM and set my phone down. My buddy thought he was doing me a favor and wiped everything for me because he knew I was having troubles. Including the system. Now I cannot get into CWM, the phone is either just a black screen with a red or green LED, or stuck on the sony screen. I can't really think of anything to do. Sony update service and sony companion both won't work. They have some sort of error when I try to use them. Oh, and the flashtool won't work remembering I can't get into fastboot. Can someone please tell me what to do? If I wasn't specific enough I will try and give you more details if possible. thanks in advance!!!

Dont worry. Hold power and vol up buttons for 15s or till you feel three vibrations. Then use Sony Update Service to repair the phone.

What do you mean by "not working"?
SUS don't recognize your phone? Or your phone won't get into flashmode?

[Q] I think i bricked my Arc, flashtool always gets stuck!

So my phone was running perfectly until i decided to sell it, unfortunately the sales man wouldn't accept my Xperia arc because i had AOKP, i opened recovery mode, choose restore, and i selected an old back up to restore, i thought it would bring my phone to stock.
But then whenever i turned my phone on it would crash with the AOKP start animation half blank, like the bottom half of the screen is completely black.
I googled "my xperia phone is bricked" and i heard that i can flash stock ftf to restore the phone, unfortunately flashtool gets stuck at around 8-13% percent every time.
I tried MANY different versions, many stock roms, turned off my anti virus, changed the cable, booted into safe mode with networking, it still lags. :crying::crying::crying:
Now whenever i boot it up it shows a phone with a warning sign next to it
I looked these forums up and someone suggested that i relock my bootloader and try the Sony update tool, i tried it but it says phone is already up to date
Now my phone is dead, battery ran out and it doesn't show the battery animation when i charge it, does that mean it's not charging?
Please help me, i just want to flash a stock rom and unroot it so i can sell it.

Use PC Companion's Support Center (if I am not mistaken) to repair your phone's firmware.

PC companion keeps saying i should turn on my phone, i can't turn it on.
I flashed KTG kernel and now the warning sign doesn't appear, only the Sony logo, whenever i try to turn the phone on it just shows the Sony logo and freezes, i tried to get into recovery but i can't, the led doesn't flash so i can enter recovery.
Thanks though.

YES, it's working again, thank you very much!!!
I "repaired" with PC companion and it wouldn't start, it still lags at the Sony logo, but after repairing it with the pc companion i was able to flash stock ftf without any problem, it's very weird flashtool always lagged before, i think it's because i repaired it now, or maybe because i charged my phone over the entire night? can a low battery cause flashtool to lag?
Anyway that doesn't matter now, thanks again.
My phone is working again after flashing generic world stock ROM, now only thing remains, how do i unroot and relock the bootloader? or is it unrooted already since i flashed a stock ROM? :\
I just want to sell the phone but unfortunately rooted phones don't sell here, every salesman i met rejected me, i want to unroot the phone and relock the bootloader, i just want to make it look like a brand new phone, it's in an excellent condition hardware wise.
I heard factory reset would brick my phone so I will wait until the phone is done booting up and i will download root check and see, i will also check if the bootloader is locked or not from the service menu, after that i will update this post. :good:
EDIT 1: Okay this is very awkward, my phone's battery is completely empty, i have no idea why it's at 0% even though i charged it over the entire night???
Anyway once it's done charging i will check the root and bootloader condition.
Sorry for my bad English.
If you flashed stock firmware, then root is already gone.
And if PC Companion installed firmware to your phone, then bootloader is locked, otherwise PC Companion would have not worked.
If you are still sure, that bootloader is unlocked, check the tutorial in my signature, it includes information how to relock bootloader.
