If I was to even try this what file would it be stored in. I know there's the louder volume hack I just don't have money and look for an alternate way to sent the volume. Or is there even a way to do it through cdma or qpst

yes still does not seem to be loud enough for me
and thats only for in call volume not speaker
So there is no fix mod or hack.. would some like to make one for a price really interested in a mod

Speaker volume is way too low on its highest setting, would love
to be able to "hack" it.
Ed
And devs like to go at this maybe just the file to edit or an app or and adb command please calling out will pay for this
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
i would guess it's in the /system/framework folder
Not that I had seen there was nothing I really need a mod for this I live in a loud area ie city and I never hear my dam phone

uh yeah dude... you've already made that painfully clear
Yea well it seems your the only one that answers and no one helps so I will keep repeating that I will pay for such a mod personally made for the evo to mod volume
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
i guessing it would just be an edit like it was way back when on the MT3G. i dont see why this wouldnt work. maybe i can look into some old threads and experiment on my evo.
i did find kernel made my toast that does turn the volume up a little bit just not enough and if i knew more apps out the file structure and so on i would look into this n eddy mean 01 of the files in the system but i'm not that talented what i cn do is see if someone by chance know what file it is stored in for volume information i could figure it out from there

Any way to do so?
I've tried to by installing the DSP Manger (before noticing that it was for another phone - > half brick xD)
The reason is that I've got that app that send an infrared coded signal (by an handmade infrared transimetter) to a DSLR, making possible to take remote photos, but the range is very low ('bout 2 meters) and I'd like to increase the headphone volume to boost the signal...
I've looked on the market, and the app Volume Unlocker just doesn't works :|.
This any good?

If I've understood for what it is, I think not, since this allow to have a more accurate volume pointer, but not to increase the maximum ._.
Thanks anyway man!
anything >_>?
Am I the only one with this problem? The in-call volume level is maxed out, but is barely audible. I'd go as far to say it's worse than when the X10 came out with 1.6 Donut on it. Why can't Sony ever get a good loud volume level from launch? I've got xLoud enabled, otherwise I can't hear it at all. Does any one know of any apps that may help make this issue manageable for my Ion? I'm on ICS LT28h, just biding my time until the eventual release of the Xperia T on AT&T, which has been listed to have a 30% louder volume in call max than the Xperia S, so here's to hoping.

Same problem on my Ion and Xperia S.
I don't have a problem with in all volume but the speaker volume is rather dismal.
I can confirm that volume +(volume boost) paid-(free if you sign up for developer's forum) can fix speaker volume, but not in call volume issue.
Same for me
I think that this is a software related problem
reason:
-------------------
when i use groove Ip (VOIP) i once set my caller volume to max (BAD IDEA)
and my ear almost burst open. So it could be changed through the software.

Well, I can assure you it's a software problem, as any speaker can be adjusted to the volume where it'll immediately blow when you set it that high. The software is what limits it so as not to be able to go that far.
Just found out. You can turn on the Hearing Aids in Calling Settings. Im using Rogers stock GB rom. You will see the Ear with a T icon shown on top.

Not available in my Lt28h ics
~Jaramie
From my XPERIA ION LT28at, rooted, customised & eating an Ice Cream Sandwich
Shouldn't there be a file to change the max volume output with a file/text editor? Just like the notifacation LED?
Also the hearing impaired setting in ics should be in the accessibility settings no?

Is there a specific method for increasing volume output on the lt28h? Definitely need it for my work environment. Any tips appreciated.
With the latest ics *few months old * and deodexed with cwm and rooted I have equalizer installed and use that for my sound enhancements instead of stock app. My in call volume seems louder

As you know the speakers are loud on the One. The minimum setting is very loud for an early morning
Anyone know of a more controlled volume app that could set the minimum volume lower for media?

Installed Volume+ from PlayStore - makes it just a little bit quieter, but still not enough

Or wait when devs add volume steps tweak to roms... It's nice tweak...
Really want to keep it stock. I'll get into a ROM spin if I start... And i dont want to start as i wont stop.
Would just prefer this phone as is. Still a little app would be great.

Interestingly, when I use the phone volume button rocker to change the TV volume (via the ir remote app), one push on the phone moves 3-4 increments on the tv

Right!
'Fine volume control' from app store seems to work.
FYI volume at its lowest on this phone is 8% which is rather too high.

This is my biggest bugbear with this phone. On minimum volume, both on speaker and headset, it's way too loud. I hope HTC realise this and fix it soon.
OT - does anyone else hear a constant annoying clicking through the headset, even when there is no music playing? I hope HTC fix this too.
there is a mod in the trickdroid thread to increase volume steps. i think its around post 5400

Anyone knows which file we could modify to increase the volume output from the speakers?

I'm on my second one now because of low volume...
This one is no better....
Headphone volume is sub par also...
Hoping for a fix....

I have S4 GE, and someone released a mod which modifies a file to increase the device volume.
Why isn't this possible here? I just need to know which file to modify. I am sure there are some values which we could play with here.

You could try an app called "Speaker Boost" which I used on a Ramos tablet and a Samsung phone and it worked great. You are still in control of the volume by a simple tap and adjustment. The Ramos tablet volume was so low I could barely hear anything but when using Speaker Boost I, at least, could hear the audio.

I tired, its not what I am looking for. It's OK, but still not native. It would be nice to modify the files so you could have the same native volume control
