Old news. Lol.
let it be.
While mono running along side the standard Dalvik VM may be old news, XobotOS is not.
XobotOS was litterally just announced, it was pushed to github on 05/01/2012.
This is a really cool concept.

Motorola had introduced the MOTODEV Android Portal back in 2009. The aim was to support and encourage developers with technical resources to create quality apps for Motorola devices. Google, which now owns Motorola, is trying to revamp its acquisition gradually. The Developer Resources Page will be more open and conform to Google Android principles. November 1 onwards the MOTODEV developers will be redirected to the new Developer Resources page on Motorola.com. The official announcement goes as follows:
On November 1, the MOTODEV portal, tech library, support forums and social media sites will transition and we’ll begin redirecting users to a new Developer Resources page on Motorola.com for downloads and links to the rich set of tools, support forums and technical documentation now available in the broader Android community such as: Google Android Developers and Stack Overflow.
We will have to wait till November 1 before we can see the all new developer resources corner at Motorola’s official site.
First this in not the full chrome 25 for android! This is just a little teaser
Google said that, they will release a dev build of chrome matching the desktop dev releases this year, so i thought i will give it a go and try to build it from source now. Not all source is merged now. it seems i cant build the full apk only the chrome test shell. It does not have the ui
nor the full rendering engine and many other things missing, but it can display 1 webpage at a time. so if my cpu time is gone i thought i would share the result
what is there:
Can open and surf one webpage at a time
New webkit 537
Faster javascript
422 point in html5test.com
what is missing:
no ui at all
scrolling and zooming is worse than in the latest 18 release ( many stuffs not merged back now)
I think the direction where chrome is headed is good, but it is still far from there.

Very cool. Throw in an adblock plugin and I'll sing at your wedding.
Reminds me of the browser on my old nokia phone.
