I saw this thread on the Gnex and wanted to see if anyone's themed the mms app for our phone.

Also does anyone have a cool ics/jb lockscreen shortcut?

My ROM has it themed, you could always pull the mms.apk out of it if you wanted to use it.

Very nice, looks like the Paranoid Rom with matching themed MMS. I would dig to have this for my phone

Hey, after TW 4.0 is really working for our device, I was wondering if it was possible someone could work on a theme port like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1058221
It would go great with the new EE03 ROMs since it is Gingerbread and it just looks amazing!
(Although, please, don't change the notification bar like they did! I hate battery % mods, lol)
Oh, and also can someone include the green CRT overscroll animation and some of the other green parts (like the text and copy and paste icons)

To each in own but i like the % battery it shows the regular bar as well as the % so i you cant really complain there but if its going to be such a hassle why not make 2 diff. versions if alot of people request that. i doubt it though.
Also this theme is pretty stock and just like the stock Gingerbread theme so i hardly doubt that this is going to be ported.

Well, the battery % thing is just a me thing. I don't really care if it's there; it just makes me more obsessed with battery life.
Second, the icons are pretty different and would be an interesting addition combined with the new TW 4.0.
I know it doesn't have major theme changes, but it's sleek and feels more up-to-date with the GS II in my opinion.
Great idea that new touchwiz look is sexy
I like that. Looks awesome.

I'm a fan of shiftr182's theme (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427830).
Also ran Overstew's very happily for quite a while: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1322272.
Another very popular one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1404267
There are plenty of others that are ICS-inspired -- go cruising through the themes section, nandroid, and flash until you find the right one for you.
Thank you

Any ICS themes compatible with said Calk ROM with a modded lockscreen? (No need to inform me about widget locker and the such, I'm quite aware.)
I use go locker with ics theme XD

Swag -- actually, I've had great luck w/ shiftr's "1.1b" version on top of Calk's 2.8.1. All of the TSM mod lockscreens seem to work great (outside of some issues that I think are due to me running screen density of 160 :/) Flashed after running overstew's ics theme for weeks and haven't gone back...
I would like to see a blacked out theme, with the major apps blacked out as well.. (twitter, gmail, google voice, email, phone, messaging, super user... etc)
I know there is a black theme out there, and I am using it, but the apps aren't all blacked out or the icons aren't that good. If there is one out there that is totally blacked out send me in the right direction. Hope to see some great work! Thanks!

^I'm using images from it. I think it's a problem with the status bar image. What problems were everybody experiencing? We should get this ironed out.

Well thankfully it creates a backup, I had to use it. Anyways, it force installs 2 launchers and Google voice. Now when Google voice is running, I found out that all of my texts were redirected to Google voice and I didn't know. I wish there were more blacked out themes. I also noticed that Gmail was black as wasn't YouTube... needs some radifying.
-2348z Epic 4G-> CM9 Beta0
Also, I noticed on scrolling on apps like Facebook and Twitter, the scroll bar does NOT show up at all. But in any other theme I can see theme...
I have updated my black infinitum theme and it is completely white and black.

So I'm not new to ROM'ing by any means, but haven't messed around with themes much. I tend to use AOKP on my E4GT the most out of all the ROMs ( also use it on my Transformer Prime which is great! ). My question is where are all the aokp themes? I'm guessing themes need to be designated as working for aokp and not just aosp, is that correct? Can we use themes from aokp roms on other devices, or will that break things?
Any theme suggestions also most welcome, I tend to like the darker minimalistic type themes
Heres an example of a pretty nice looking theme I'd like to use, again not sure if it would work since it's for the Nexus S ... I'm guessing the phone.apk and other system apps would probably break correct?

Should work fine. It might break 4g but I don't know for sure.

Works fine! It does break 4g, but I'm using the blue infinitum one. I'm looking for a red and black ics theme.
Amoled Blue is great. Black Infinitum works well if you don't mind losing 4g. Also be careful if you set quad lock and add the apps. It sent me into a bootloop on my NS4G

Great news ... but will this break the modded phone apk that's included in aokp build 36 to support 160dpi?
Deleted...
Well one of the things I hate most is the ugly white in the MMS.apk..Of all the silly options like weather in pulldown etc thats included in CM9/AOKP I was hoping we could at least get a black background option but I guess its more important to see what temp it is outside or to toggle your swagger on/off.
So if you're tired of the ugly white MMS.apk thats clearly neglected then I have the mod for you. This is a transparent modded MMS.apk that is build off travp624's new Mms.apk which combines the best of cm9 and AOKP.
I hope you enjoy this..Just flash the zip in recovery or manually push the apk.
Thanks Section
killabyte at Rootzwiki for his guide because without it I wouldn't have been able to do it.
travp624 at rootzwiki for his new MMS base to use..He did a great job of combinging the best options of cm9 and AOKP.

technically everything works fantastic- it just looked a little odd in conjunction with my wallpaper since it has text on it, and because i'm running my own theme with your mms installed over it. I usually use @android:style/Theme.Holo for inverting MMS. Love the attention to detail- really great!

@android:style/Theme.Holo wont give me transparent though right?
It will if you go into conversation_list_item.xml and conversation_list_screen.xml and set the background to transparent at the topmost linear layout. You'll also have to edit the message_send and receive xmls in /layout to set the same transparency. Here's an example of one i made for my theme using theme.holo:
