Just wondering... Why? SGS3 has one of the best camera apks out. Likelihood is answer is not unless Sense gets mostly ported.
I just thought it was a nice feature to have the hold button for burst photo instead of having to change scene to do burst.i thought it took slightly better photos. But i still love the gs3 more because it has much more to offer imho. One downside the Evo camera doesnt have is the on screen self picture mode on the fly.
evo camera is bad ass i love my gs3 but evo camera rocks.

Does anyone have a hard time taking pics of rheir kids or animals with the epic touch?
i came fron the iphone 4S but i hate the slow speeds in 3G thats the only reason im planing to keep the epic touch but the speeds of the shutter button seems slow i could take 4 regular pictures while i take on with the epic touch and the scares me cause i got a hyper kid and love to take pics .. 4really confused please help maybe some nice moving shots that you guys have ?

No. Already has inferior hardware. Go with the Evo Lte if you have to upgrade now.

Well I played with the one x at att and must say it's better looking. The screen is amazing though. Our GS3 will probably have the s4 also though.

It's got some nice additions, ie sdcard slot, kickstand, and larger battery, but it's definitely not as sexy.

No real point in upgrading to a sprint lte phone right now as there is no lte towers. You will be stuck with sprints slow 3g. Best to stick with the e4gt until the galaxy siii comes out.

You are right. However in my house I have no 4G except upstairs window. When home just keep wifi on and use my own internet. Even 3G and calls iffy in house. Without my Airwave my phone would be a brick most of time. Hope so called Network Vision improves coverage. I have no idea when lte is turned on if that will be any better than my current wimax 4g.

Have you played with both phones at the same time. Also are you bored with your phone? These are reasons to upgrade and of course do YOU think its worth it to you to upgrade. I have seen I love Gnex threads and I returned my Gnex threads, at the end of the day its really your preference. Go to Best Buy and check them all out... Jus' My Opinion

I made a thread about this the other day too because I have an upgrade so I went down to the sprint store and played with the Gnex and I dont know if there was something wrong with that one or what but it ran like ****! Force closes everywhere, could not get facial unlock to work. I just installed ICS Hydra rom on my E4GT and it runs SOOO much better than the Gnex. I also talked to a sprint employee and they said the E4GT is far superior. I wouldn't do it!

Did you guys switch to this version of the Galaxy S3? Was it worth it? I'm thinking getting this on At&t as I have an upgrade available. Kind of worried about development not taking off yet? Also, what color led notifications does this version have?
Not taking off yet? We have CM9/CM10, AOKP (ICS/JB) and a bunch of TouchWiz kangs!
The notification LED is blue, green, red, or white (depending on the notification) by default. With custom ROMs, its configurable though.
I don't miss my Nexus. The camera on it hurt me to take pics. Do I miss AOSP? A little.. but the hardware of the S3 more than makes up for it.

Is the sg3 screen much better than the sgn screen? Also camera is that much better on the sg3? I've been reading some complaints.
And yes I see this version has good dev support now. Thats pretty good that samsung is using led notifications on this device as well.

Hell yes the camera is that much better, the screen is debatable, but my opinion I like the screen on the S3 way better. I can't see the individual pixels on here as I could on the Gnex so it looks better

I get purple notifications for when I receive a Voicemail on Google Voice which was a nice surprise to me!
SysAdmNj, not sure if you are in a 4g LTE area but if you are, the speeds are pretty amazing. :good:
If you are, it's worth the upgrade alone!
I miss some of the support on the gn (paranoid android and aokp) but the hardware and camera are good enough reasons for me to stick with the s3.

I'm getting the S3 today. Been on the Nexus for a long while now. I absolutely love Jelly Bean and Pure Google. But I'm willing to flash AOKP/CM10 in order to get it. I'm not a fan of TouchWiz, but I guess that could grow on me..

I'm pretty close to getting mines at lunch time, you guys convinced me. I'm just wondering where the "pictures taken with your at&t sgs3" is?
My buddy has nexus. Resolution is lower so the gs3 looks sharper. Screen is bigger and cam way nicer. It's like a better version of the nexus once you take touchwiz off.

Another question, do you guys have issues sending an mms over wifi?
Is this a non-issue once you root/rom?
I need a phone for my wife, camera speed is very important for her.
The only online video review i could find are based on the 2.3 (i think) OS and it seems that the sutter speed and the speed between shots are not so great. Did the things has changed with ICS?
Nothing has changed at all. U can use apps as camera replacement but if camera is important then I gotta be honest other phones are much better. Best thing would be go to store and use the phone.

Htc for cameras, the s3 is actually pretty awesome. I haven't had the chance to compare cameras with the one s/x with the s3.... since i don't know many with it lol

I have the galaxy nexus and it would be ideal: fast and with a fast camera.
Problem is I can't afford another one so i'll have to choose between two phones from koodo canada: galaxy s2x or htc one v.
Htc one v seems to have good fast camera but i'm concerne it's going to be laggy.

S2x for sure then. Our camera isn't bad. It's great in daylight that's for sure. But when the sun starts setting. Ehh lol

Absutely, it's a good camera for what i found out. But for her speed is more important then quality, as all the cameras are pretty good nowadays if you only need "facebook pictures". She's always complaining that she constantly miss "the moment" because her current camera on her phone is too slow.

Try out the fast burst camera app. There is a free version you can get and see if you like it. I ended up buying the paid version because I liked it so much. I take pics of my son swinging at the batting cage and it works great.

I have yet to get ota. I tried forcing it, but nothing is available. Then again, I've been waiting since the original evo for 4G in my area, so I know how to wait.
Camera is streaking my pics
I just flashed ROMS to Liquid Smooth 4.2.2 for Sprint Galaxy s3 and now my camera is streaking any new pics I take. Is there a fix for this? I tried searching the LiquidSmooth forum, but I didn't see anything that related to my problem... I also saw the post below, and I am having the same issues with uninstalling an app, but I have no clue what the per app DPI is... I see it on my phone, but I have not installed. Can someone please explain this to me as well?

Whitelist is do to the per app DPI application- Xposed

no way! having just left the Evo 4g LTE i can honestly tell you that the GS3 camera is an under performer at best when compared to the Evo 4g LTE with its additional dedicated camera CPU.
